Build A Website and Get Your Feet Wet In Affiliate Marketing

If you want to have a business online, you need to build a website. A website helps to promote your products, as well as, identifies you on the Internet. When I created my website, I went on the premise of "wanting to learn how to do it" as I experience the essence of building my business. I realize now, that even though I learned quite a bit, it did slow my progress down. Read on, I'll tell you want I mean.

A Little History First

After attempting to do typing on the Internet -- you're right --my first newbie scam. It wasn't a true scam, because I was paid. However, I put in long hours for very, very little pay. Does that read green, naive newbie all over it? Yes, I'm afraid it does.

Needless to say, I gave that up and began looking for something that would give me a viable income -- affiliate marketing was the answer. Thus, my adventure began.

Getting a Web host and Domain

Well, after much reading, I realized I needed to get a web host and a domain if I was looking for a long-haul attempt at making it in affiliate marketing. I found a pretty good web host, paid for my domain -- And, now I was ready to build my website...

My first advise here is -- If you are inexperienced in web construction and you want a quick presence online, I would go with a web host that has web tools which includes Site Studio. It saves you time, money and gets you up and moving quickly.

Building My Website

I decided to use FrontPage (with a dash of HTML) to create my website -- in my first attempt. Well, my first attempt was beyond words -- no one wanted to hurt my feelings -- the website was beyond bad and the color was what I call Medicine Yellow. But I was still in the glow, and I must say, working with blinders on. (This was my first mistake, my knowledge was limited -- I should have utilized Site Studio that was available to me.)

Needless to say, my first attempt did not stay up long. I went back to work, restructuring my ugly site -- my second attempt. I changed the color to a dark green with a base of gray. At the time it looked good, I thought. I actually got, "you're improving" from a friend. But somehow, it looked, well -- downtrodden.

Third restructuring came when -- after a year, I came upon an article that stated, "if you are using Times Roman -- even though it is easy to read, it reads amateur all over it." My first internal thought was, "Crap, I've got to do my website over again."

So, once again, I began restructuring my site. This time around, I decided to go with a lighter green for my website (just as well, I was going to have to change everything anyway), revamped by Google Ads (4 times), and changed the lettering to "Arial".

By the way, it has been said that either "Georgia" or "Arial" are the two fonts that will give your website a professional look. And you know -- they were right. After changing from "Times Roman" to "Arial" -- it gave my website a cleaner and more professional look.

Color as well, is important to your website -- it is part of your total presentation of your site to prospective visitors. How important is color -- if they don't like it, they are just a click away from removing your site from their vision.

After all the overhauling and tweaking of my website, I believe it is now presentable, brighter and personable to my visitors.

However, I, as well as you, should realize that you are never done with your website. You should always be looking at ways to improve the appearance, products, and service available to your visitors.

Becoming An Affiliate

You cannot be an affiliate marketer without affiliate products. With that being said, you can start your journey as an affiliate marketer by looking at the following sites for items that fit your theme and of which you can make a commission.

Commission Junction

ClickBank

BeFree

Now, don't be disappointed if some of the vendors turn you down in the beginning -- after you have your website up for a while, you will find that some vendors will be dropping you an email and requesting that you sell their product for them. It's flattering, however, be sure that you can blend it nicely into your website theme.

Getting Your Feet Wet

The water may be cold, tepid, or hot -- it depends on your skill level when you begin your journey online (I believe my feet were in the cold phase when I started) -- but you have to get your feet wet. Do your research, get all your ducks in a roll, and begin your journey. If you sit on the fence too long, you will never jump in.

Get what Internet tools you can, read all that you can, and stay positive, even if it means you have to step away from your computer for a day or two to regroup your thoughts.

As you can see from my experience, I jumped in, had some setbacks, some disappoints, but also some individual triumphs. The most important thing to remember is to close your mind to your own negative thoughts, and the negative words of those around you. Why? They can cripple you, and slow or even end your journey toward success.

If you know in your gut, that what you are doing will succeed --say nothing -- just keep on keeping on. Soon, the naysayers will be saying something positive.

Affiliate Tracking Software: How It Works and How To Get It

If you're considering implementing an affiliate program through your business' web site, you'll need an effective way to track leads and sales generated by your affiliates. While writing a program is definitely an option for some, it's not an option for those that are not quite as PHP savvy. In this instance, it becomes necessary to consider an affiliate tracking software package.

Purchasing affiliate tracking software can be very complex process. Choosing the right affiliate tracking software is tedious as well. The software needs to offer a variety of information and reports to the business and its affiliates, and usually includes several features:

- Affiliate link generation- Cookie setting- Commission calculation- Banner and text link displays- Affiliate reporting- Administration reporting- Multi-tiered calculations- Payment processing- Mailing functions- Anti-fraud functions

Affiliate tracking software programs can be divided into three different categories, and while most will offer the basic features, there are others that offer a variety of features. Depending on your business size and your business needs, it's wise to consider all three options before making a decision to determine which is the best option for you.

1. Third party affiliate tracking software with management software.

With third party affiliate tracking software, you'll work with a network that will look after all payment processing, creative storage, fraud control, and most of the communications made with affiliates. This leaves you free to work at the core of your business.

The down side of third party affiliate tracking software management programs is that they can be a very expensive, and there may be packages of this sort that charge set up fees, monthly maintenance fees, and commission fees on the commissions paid to affiliates. For instance, if you have an affiliate that has earned $100 in commissions, the network may charge you an additional $30 on top of the other fees you're already paying. It's not uncommon for this management system to also require you to maintain a minimum deposit, and depending on the network, this fee could run into the thousands of dollars. An example of this type of affiliate tracking software program is Offers Quest, www.offersquest.com.

2. Remotely hosted affiliate tracking software, with the merchant serving as system administrator.

In an affiliate tracking software set up that is remotely hosted, a powerful software package is made available for use by merchants, but it is hosted on the software companies' own servers. The disadvantage of this affiliate tracking software is the cost, which can run into the hundreds of dollars per month just for access into the system. There is also usually a substantial set up fee to get started. The advantage of remotely hosted affiliate tracking software is that these types of systems tend to offer a complete range of features to cover a myriad of affiliate program options. To have all of these added features in a stand-alone software package would cost many more thousands of dollars. By leasing the software, it becomes much more affordable and easily accessible, even for a small business owner. A popular remotely hosted affiliate tracking software host is AssocTrac, assoctrac.com, which was developed by Corey Rudl, the late internet marketing expert who brought affiliate marketing into the limelight.

3. Locally hosted affiliate tracking software.

Possibly the best thing about running your own software from your own computer is that you don't have to worry about monthly fees, but there are other positives to this affiliate tracking software as well. For example, you can usually easily alter the code to suit your purposes. Additionally, you won't have to worry about the fact that any affiliate links generated will point directly to your site instead of a third party. This is especially of benefit in relation to link popularity, a factor that many search engines use when calculating rankings. Locally hosted affiliate tracking software can also be an inexpensive option because packages start at under $100. An example of a good locally hosted affiliate tracking software package is iDev Affiliate, idevdirect.com.

These three types of software can range in price from less than $100 to more than $10,000.

Additionally, in the instance where you would choose third party and remotely hosted affiliate tracking software solutions, there may be a maintenance fee or commission fee as well. For these reasons, examine several different software packages carefully before deciding which affiliate tracking software package is best for your particular business needs. There are hundreds of options in affiliate tracking software, and a search using your favorite search engine will generate enough leads and options for you to make an educated decision on which affiliate tracking software package would best fit your business and your business' needs.

Mortgage Affiliate Program Profits

There are a number of affiliate programs available through many different types of merchants. One of the most common affiliate offers, though, is a mortgage affiliate program.

A mortgage affiliate program operates the same as most any other affiliate program with other merchants. The mortgage broker or mortgage lender offers to pay you an agreed dollar amount for either a click through from a link on your web site, a fixed dollar amount for a lead you've generated through your link, or a percentage of the amount financed through a lender by a new customer that visited their site as a result of your link.

While a mortgage affiliate program can be a beneficial way to earn added dollars, it's still much the same as other affiliate programs out there. The similarity is due to the fact that a mortgage affiliate program is not a way to earn money fast, despite promises made by the mortgage affiliate program to simply place their banner on your web site and watch the money start rolling into your bank account.

If you're serious about becoming involved in a mortgage affiliate program, there are literally hundreds out there from which to choose. Make your decision carefully, though, and consider the following items as you look at different mortgage affiliate programs.

1. Choose a mortgage affiliate program that offers excellent affiliate support and communication.A good way to test the waters as to how good the mortgage broker or lender's communication and support is with their affiliates is to simply email an inquiry. If they don't respond within a day, send one more email. If you haven't heard from the mortgage broker or lender you've chosen within two to three days, chances are it's best to search elsewhere for a mortgage affiliate program. A mortgage affiliate program that doesn't even bother to respond to a serious inquiry probably will not offer the support needed once you've put their program into action on your site.

2. Don't pay money to enter into a mortgage affiliate program. If a mortgage affiliate program asks for money in order for you to post their link on your web site, it could possibly be a Multi Level Marketing, or MLM, program, which are normally not successful in mortgage affiliate programs. Additionally, chances are good that such an offer could, plain and simply put, be a scam just out to take your money. A true mortgage affiliate program will be available to you at no charge.

3. Consider a mortgage affiliate program only with a broker or lender that is honest. When you make your initial email contact with the company offering a mortgage affiliate program, don't be afraid to ask for references of others currently involved in their mortgage affiliate program. If they won't offer references to you, be wary. If they do offer a name or two for you to contact, ask the affiliates how successful the program has been for them, what level of support they receive from the broker or lender, and ask them to describe their experience working as an affiliate. If all of these questions are answered with a positive response, chances are you're making a good decision with signing onto the mortgage affiliate program.

4. Choose a mortgage affiliate program that offers a variety of ways of reaching potential customers. Some mortgage affiliate programs require a banner link on your web site. While this is the option of choice for many affiliates, consider a company that also offers text links for your site, or allows you to purchase mailing lists in order to promote the mortgage affiliate program through email. Even if these options are not immediately of interest to you, if the program takes off in your favor, it could be another way to generate additional funds. Text links can be an excellent choice, especially if you already have a couple of affiliate programs posted that you're working with, or are considering working with others in the near or distant future. With too many affiliate banners, your site can start to appear littered, distracting from the content of your web site, loading slower, and frustrating visitors that might otherwise click on your affiliate links. Flexibility with the mortgage affiliate program on how you connect with individuals interested in the mortgage program can give you some great options on how to develop and increase your affiliate earnings.

There are numerous mortgage affiliate programs available. A simple search through your favorite search engine will verify this to be true. While we endorse none of these mortgage affiliate programs, a few that are readily available and are continuously looking for affiliates to sign on are as follows. Watch for two-tiered programs, where you're paid for individuals that go to the company's web site through your link and fill out a form, and then are also paid a commission if that customer also finances or refinances because of your link.

All The Way to The Bank With Clickbank

Okay, so you've got your clickbank ID and it's time to start making that mega money you've been reading about that's out there hanging on the internet money tree waiting to be pruned by you, right? I'm sure you certainly hope so.

Clickbank is one of the hottest affiliate programs on the web. The saturation of the clickbank market alone makes earning the mega bucks these money making "gurus" are promising you virtually impossible. Just check any of the search engines and see for yourself how many advertised websites include the word 'hop', 'clickbank' and so on.

This is pretty much unavoidable since you have to have your clickbank ID included in your link to receive credit for any of the purchases. Nevertheless, these sites scream, "Someone's trying to get rich off my hard earned money!". Now some consumers aren't offended by knowing a portion of their purchase is going into an affiliate's pocket but some are.

Here are a few tips that may boost your clickbank profits:

Use A Unique Clickbank ID Don't use your name or nicknames as these draw attention quickly to the fact that it's an affiliate link. Try ID names like: "xyz123", "webfacts567", "netsearch2".

ID names similar to these don't sound as personal as: "trina1979", "djones05", etc.

Incorporate Your Clickbank Links Into Your Website If you're fortunate enough to have your own website, this is an ideal arena to promote your products. For example, if you have a page on your site dedicated to webhosting, this would be a great place to list some of your clickbank links related to webhosting packages. There are a number of different categories for clickbank products that can be placed throughout your website. Be creative.

Check the Page Rank of The Websites/Products You're Promoting Before choosing a product to promote determine how popular that site has been with internet traffic. Example: If your affiliate link is www.ilovemusic.com/?hop=clickbankID, simply type in www.ilovemusic.com.

This is a great indicator of the demand for this particular product or products the site is offering.

Downloading the Google Toolbar which includes page rank for all sites is an awesome way to obtain this information.

Shorten Your Clickbank links Shorter links are more appealing to some. Here are some sites that can help you shorten your affiliate links:

http://Snipurl.com
http://www.makeashorterlink.com
http://metamark.net
http://compacturl.com

Everyone is tapping into the enormous potential the internet offers for making money online.

Good planning, creativity, and patience will certainly improve the odds on you being one of the many that capitalize on this opportunity!

Are Affiliates Not Social?

This question could be extended by "and internet marketers in general". The answer to that question was widely believed to be "Yes".

The MisconceptionPeople tend to think of an Affiliate as a tech savvy geek that spends day and night to find ways to promote a big merchant and make big bucks via the commission earned for the sales made by the referred customers; a person that is very protective about everything he does, that generates at least a few sales or leads. You probably also thought of the people that run the Affiliate Program for a Merchant, who are called Affiliate Managers or short AM's, are snobby suits that try to use the legions of their affiliates to generate easy money for their employers.Socializing would almost be unthinkable if this is true. Who is going to socialize with his maid? Right?

This picture of affiliates and their counterpart on the merchant side seems to be a misconception that might be true only in some rare cases.

It did not took very long after affiliate programs became more and more popular that Affiliate Forums emerged, especially when Amazon.com launched their Affiliate Program (Amazon called it Associate Program) in 1996 which allowed instant signup and approval for anybody and his uncle in combination with the growing trend of creating personal home pages on free hosters like Geo Cities.

Early Communities, ForumsForums like the AssociatePrograms.com Forum , RevBoard, ABestWeb, Affiliate Boards and Affiliate Marketing Forum at WebProWorld were frequented by affiliates using nick names or just the first name to exchange general information about programs, commissions and that sort of things.

Posting of Affiliate Site URL's was a "don't do it" rule although most forums did not specifically prohibited the posting of links, if related to the discussed topic. Some had the rule not to post somebody else's Affiliate URL. The fear for copy cats and the potential loss of hard earned commissions was wide spread and sometimes also well founded. Anything that was giving hints to the identity of the affiliate and it's website was avoided by most members in the public forum areas.

That affiliates are social could already be seen in the "off topic" or "midnight chat" sections of the Affiliate Marketing Forums, if such a category was available. Towards the end of last year sites started to emerge that supported and even encouraged social mingling between affiliates and also affiliate managers and networks.

The New Trend, Social NetwoksAt the end of December 2005 launched the social site ReturnOnAffiliate.com (short RoA). RoA is a social community site following the trend of general social sites like MySpace.com, but was created solely for People in the Affiliate Marketing Industry. If it would be correct, that the people in that industry, especially the affiliates, are not social, sites like RoA would vanish quickly because of lack of users to support it.

This is not the case, quite the opposite. RoA grew it's member base within 3 month to over 2,000. Of course is a lot of the communication related to internet marketing, but the communication goes far beyond that.Personal Information and thoughts are shared in public message boards, special interest groups, blogs and mail. Every member has also his own blog, message board, book mark collection and can create freely new groups for others to join. Members that disguise their origin and blog their personal pages are the exception.

Another example for an Affiliate Marketing Community site is the Affiliate Summit 2006 East Social Network created for the attendees of the Affiliate Summit Conference which will be held in Florida on July 9-11 later this year.

FazitI am convinced, that this trend will continue in the years to come and have a major impact on the affiliate marketing industry. Connecting through social networks allows marketers to get to know each other much better and help with the creation of new professional and personal relationships.

Problems between merchants and affiliates will probably solved much quicker and easier without escalating as much as they used to in the past, because instead of Affiliate xxx having a problem with yyy, John has a problem with the Merchant Jane is working for.

If you ask yourself the question, who would you rather do business with, the one you don't know or the one you can associate a face with and know personally through interactions on community sites? If the business reasons are not overwhelmingly leaning towards one of them, I would go with the one I know personally. Business is much easier and enjoyable if you do it with a "him" or "her" and not an "it". See you soon at an Internet Marketing Community Site.

Pre-Selling in Affiliate Marketing

There are many entrepreneurs today who are earning thousands of dollars each month. They have found financial freedom. And when asked what they exactly do with their online business, their answer is affiliate marketing. But what makes many entrepreneurs successful in affiliate marketing? Entrepreneurs are successful in affiliate marketing because they were able to convert the visits of Internet users into sales.

How is it possible for affiliates to easily convince visitors to purchase the products? The answer lies in pre-selling. The big secret in affiliate marketing success is an effective pre-selling. Pre-selling happens when the visitor is already willing to purchase the product even before he clicks the banner that will link him to the merchant’s website.

In pre-selling, the target customer is already convinced of the importance of a certain product.

And by the time the target customer arrives in the merchant’s website, he will immediately proceed to the order form page. Thus, the affiliate gets a high conversion of visits into sales. But how will an affiliate conduct an effective pre-selling?

First, the affiliate must realize that having banners alone are not reliable. Some visitors may click on such banners and the affiliate may be paid by the merchant in a pay-per-click compensation scheme. But the earnings from such a set-up will be meager. With banners only, the affiliate will be struggling just to earn a few dollars. Therefore, the affiliate must have more in his website other than banners.

This leads to the second thing that an affiliate must realize and do something about. The affiliate must realize that he must have good content in his website. Such good content must be two things. First, it should make the affiliate’s website land high on the list of search engines. This is putting the website in the path of target clients. And second, the good content should entice the client of the importance of a certain product or range of products.

The content, however, should not do hard selling. That is, the content should not be obvious about the selling of the products. If the visitor realizes the selling, he will have second thoughts and may not click on the merchant’s banner at all. This is why the content should be informative and should expound on the benefits of the product. The affiliate’s website should become a fountain of information for the visitors so that he will return again and again to the website.

It is also a good idea to have several products being promoted in the affiliate’s website. This way, the visitor will have choices and he will not think that the affiliate is simply selling the product.

Peter Garant's affiliate marketing site sells affordable unique website content to webmasters that understand the need for unplagerised and high quality content on their websites.

Make Money Online with a Web Hosting Affiliate Program

Webmasters, have you considered partnering with a web hosting provider via an affiliate program to bring quick and easy profits to your website?

If you currently host a website, joining a web hosting affiliate program can not just recoup the costs of bandwidth and server space, but it can make you significant money when used intelligently. Web hosting affiliate programs are also easy and free to join - all it takes is a couple of customer referrals from you in order to bring in a new form of online income.

If you’re happy with your current domain and hosting provider, ask them about their web hosting affiliate program. Often times, customer referrals can bring $50, $60, or even up to $100 account credit for each person that signs up to your provider’s services.

Your host may even offer a web hosting affiliate program that gives you a percentage cut of the sales made when customers you refer sign up for hosting services.

In these cases you may be eligible for cash payments in exchange for promoting their services. This might be a recurring monthly or annual payment. Most web hosting affiliate programs will provide regular payments via check, and often directly to your bank account or even your Paypal account.

You Have to Spend Money to Earn Money

It surprises me that many people fail to grasp this concept as they first set out to start their own businesses. Thanks to the power of the Internet, anyone who has a computer and an Internet connection can now START their own online businesses with little investment. However, generally speaking, it is a given that you have to invest money into your business to if you seriously want it to grow.

Affiliate marketing is a great way for ordinary people to start making money on the Internet. After finding an affiliate program that offers products you are interested in promoting, you can start an online business with just a website. So your total investment up to this point may simply be registering for a domain name and paying for a web hosting account.

But then what? You have to start marketing the products and getting people to your website! A lot of people are turned off when they discover that this is a demanding process that requires a substantial amount of hard work, time, AND money!

Let me give you a specific example. As all experienced Internet marketers know, "the money is in the list." Simply put, you want to build a mailing list of people who may be interested in what you have to offer.

One of the most effective ways to grow your mailing list is to use a pay-per-lead service where you PAY a company to bring targeted subscribers to you. The company will run an advertising campaign for you and deliver motivated, opt-in subscribers to your list. The cost can vary greatly depending on the information you require. The e-mail lead packages I have been using recently range from $.10 to $.35 per lead.

The best lead provider I have used is TrafficOasis. It provides targeted leads that are fresh, NON-SHARED, responsive, and affordable. If you who like to know more, check out its website: http://www.trafficoasis.com/index.php?118787

Other areas where you MAY want to invest money in include: logo design, web design, web promotion, and useful tools such as a graphics editor and a powerful autoresponder. However, there are plenty of free resources on the Internet and I encourage you to seek them out.

The saying, "You have to spend money to earn money," generally holds true for ANY business!

An Internet-based business is no exception, whether your are promoting your own products or someone else's.

It is also important that you re-invest a portion of your profits into your business! That way, not only will your business continue to grow, but its GROWTH RATE will also increase! This in turn brings in MORE profits, which allows you to invest MORE into your business... Do you see a pattern!?

The key is to invest money into your business wisely while staying within your budget. If you believe in your business, you are bound to be successful!

To Your Success! Byron Wong

Casino Affiliate Programs: Backing the House

If you prefer to back percentages rather than risking everything on the turn of the card, the spin of a wheel or the roll of a dice you may want to start backing the house. Without having to invest vast fortunes in stocks, shares or your own casino site, you can take a percentage of the hugely lucrative online casino industry. It may seem like an unlikely fantasy, but there is an effective and highly successful method of tapping into the multi-billion dollar online gaming revolution, by enrolling in the casino affiliate program.

The casino affiliate program offers Internet users of all levels to profit from the gaming industry.

Most of the casino affiliate marketing programs offer their affiliates the chance to earn a percentage of a players money generated. This percentage which can rise up to as much 35%, is a way of rewarding affiliates with a share of the profits, rather than simply giving a small single pay out. Because the payments continue for the duration of a player's lifetime on the casino, the range of value for individual players is vast. Each new customer can earn an affiliate anywhere from a few dollars right up to hundreds if not thousands.

This unlimited earning opportunity allows any Internet user the opportunity to tap into the casino market without having to risk a penny. With the affiliate program being fully automated there is no need for the affiliates to have to contact customers, keep a track of your earnings and find who and when people are joining through your site. Utilising unique URL's as a tracking tool the affiliate program is able to accurately show just where a player has emanated from and then reward them appropriately.

The casino affiliate program also makes sure that it looks after its customers. People who are more attuned to the workings of an online casino will be fully aware that whilst the house wins the percentage of games, it is also liable to suffer losses to. Therefore some may question whether the affiliates will be subject to the same risks as that of the actual casino. Fortunately there is no way in which an affiliate can lose money or gain a negative account.

The payments are ordinarily processed in a bi-weekly or monthly process, therefore the affiliate program can accurately calculate the overall balance over a prolonged time rather than a paying out and taking back on a daily basis. If over this period a negative balance is accrued then it will be tabulated and considered to be zero.

So it is a no lose situation for a new affiliate. They can earn money as a casino makes its revenue, without ever having to risk a penny. Whilst there is no guarantee of success for the affiliates, it is a hugely competitive market but it is also equally popular with a vast percentage of the online populous. The affiliate program provides the most successful and popular way of earning money through the online casino revolution. It costs nothing, takes only a small amount of time to set up and is available to everybody, making it one of the most exciting and profitable online earning opportunities.

Affiliate Marketing and Promotional Materials

In preparing the affiliate marketing program, the online businessman must first find professional affiliates. One affiliate is not enough. Therefore, there should be a sizable number of affiliates that will create a significant impact on the sales of the online business. But once the affiliates have been recruited, the next important step for the online business is to provide his affiliates with promotional materials.

A promotional material is a feature in the website or Internet system that can be utilized by the affiliate to advertise and pre-sell the products of the online company. Without such promotional materials, the affiliate marketing will be slow or will come to a stand still. But one affiliate is different from another. Thus, the online businessman should be able to identify the type of promotional material that will meet the unique needs of the affiliates.

Here are some promotional materials that an online businessman should consider preparing for his affiliates. These promotional materials are quite basic and the online businessman may try other methods that are less conventional and more revolutionary. In the meantime, these are great for any affiliate marketing program on its first steps.

1. Effective email ads – This type of promotional material is ideal for affiliates who have e-zines or newsletters that they send their consumer/visitor base. In fact, most professional affiliates have their own newsletters.

Therefore, a shrewd online businessman must place email advertisements that will be included in the newsletters. He should create several email ads with varying lengths. Some affiliates like these ads to be short, while others prefer longer email ads.

In writing email ads, the online businessman should remember to use animated words that trigger emotional responses from the readers. The reason for this is that buying is mostly an emotional action.

2. Signature Files – This type of promotional material is sought by some affiliates who have signature lines. Thus, the online businessman must submit several clever lines to his affiliates. When the affiliate finds a signature file that he likes, he will include in his own signature line.

3. Articles – This type of promotional material is needed by affiliates who wants good content in their websites, and even in their newsletters. The online businessman should have good articles that can be posted in the affiliates’ websites. Such good articles can also help the website’s ranking in search engines

4. Banners – This type of promotional material may not be the most effective that it can still attract visitors. The online businessman must be ready with his banners that will fit various parts of the website, such as the toolbar, the sidebar, the top, and the bottom.

5. Product Images – This type of promotional material is attractive to affiliates who wanted to display the images of the products that they are promoting.

Do You Want to Fire Your Boss

Yes! You can fire your Boss and make yourself your own Boss!

Promoting or selling other people's stuff on the net can make you earn a comfortable living that will give you confidence to quit from your job! You can do that by joining an affiliate programs.

What is an affiliate program

Affiliate programs refers also to associate programs, referral program or bounty program. It is the most famous and the best sales and marketing strategy ever used by most of the companies or sellers on the web from small to large-scale companies. This allows "other people or companies" to promote or sell their products or stuff for a commission or other consideration. That "other people or companies" are called "Affiliates" or "Associates" and the owners of the products or services and of the affiliate program are called "Sponsors".

Many affiliates are earning considerable amount of commissions up to more than $10, 000 a month and even hundreds of thousand dollars, through this affiliate scheme. Because of this, most of them stopped working as an employee and focus on affiliate marketing at their own time, own pace, own strategy and most importantly, at home with their families without seeing a face of the annoying BOSS!

How will you earn and receive commission?

As an affiliate, you do not need to maintain a stock of products or services of your own or of your sponsors. You will be only required to promote their stuff, by putting your sponsors' banners or text links on your site pages or by posting ads on other sites or by sending emails to your relatives, friends and acquaintances. Your sponsors will give you an affiliate or tracking code or link. When an interested visitors click the banners or text links with your affiliate code or link from your site or promotion page, they will be directed to your sponsor's website.

The affiliate code or link will be the reference of your sponsor to identify that those visitors came through your referral or from your promotional page. Once those visitors completed transactions that are subject to commissions, your sponsor will credit your account for the equivalent commissions from those transactions. Your commissions will be accumulated and be sent to you by check, wire transfer, direct deposit and by other means based on your affiliate agreement.

There are different ways to earn a commission from affiliate program. You may earn on the basis of pay-per-click, pay-per-lead, pay per sale or through referring another affiliate. In pay-per-click, the affiliate earns commission when a visitor clicks the sponsor's link. In pay-per-lead, the affiliate earns commission when a visitor click the sponsor's links and completed a transaction without buying a product, like completing a inquiry form or survey or quotation form. While on a pay per sale, you will earn a flat rate or a percentage of sales prices. Some of the programs are offering up to 80% commission.

How can you join an affiliate?

Generally, affiliate programs require the applicants to have a working website where you can promote their products. However, some of them will allow you to promote or sell their products through posting ads with ad sites or by emailing people but absolutely no spamming or you will be kicked out.

When joining an affiliate program, you have to check the reliability of its owner. Reliability? Yes, because there are websites that are being managed by opportunists who are offering an affiliate programs but will not report all your earned commissions or worst, they will not pay you. So, beware of them.

What are the affiliate programs that you should join

To start your journey of firing your Boss or quitting your job, you have to start joining affiliate programs NOW before others do and begin earning THOUSANDS of DOLLARS. I recommend that you start with Google Adsense for content-based and search-based program. Then, join Affiliate Networks to give you a wide variety of choices of products or services to sell or promote.

Each affiliate network offers several affiliate programs of various companies including the makers of the world's famous brands and products. The Network site will record and monitor the commissions that you will earn from various programs and pays you in only one check on a scheduled payment date. That's very convenient as you will be virtually dealing with only one site in promoting programs of various companies.

With hardwork, patience and continuous learning, I am confident that you will be a successful affiliate marketer in the near future. You will be working at home with your family at your own time, at your own pace and with your own strategies…That will be the time that you've fired your BOSS and made yourself your own BOSS!

Sports Betting Affiliate: Benefiting from the Success of Online Sports Betting Webites

Gambling has always been a popular pursuit, from the introduction of money as a method of measuring wealth, greed and the sense of thrill has driven millions of people to risk ruin. Today gambling has become a way of life for millions of people worldwide. A large contributing factor in the modern explosion of gambling can be attributed to the introduction of the interactive realm of the Internet. The new online generation was able to access gambling sites and games for the first time ever at any time and from almost any place.

Every aspect of the gaming industry has grown many folds since the inception of online gambling. Casinos have become commonplace and are in themselves a hugely lucrative industry.

The world of poker playing has been given a major face-lift, with online games rejuvenating and popularising the game to a whole new audience. But one of the largest success stories of the Internet gaming boom has come in the form of sports betting.

Betting on popular sports such as soccer, football, baseball, hockey and horse racing have always been popular with people in countries where the sports are most popular. But with the introduction of the Internet sports betting people from all corners of the world were finally given the ability to bet on almost every major sporting event, no matter how seemingly obscure the location or sport. Everything that can be assigned odds can be gambled on, therefore the popularity and diversity of the gamblers has become so widespread that inevitably there was an explosion.

Like all large businesses small outlets of possibility have emerged from the online sports betting boom. The range of opportunity and relative value is staggering especially by traditional standards. One of the most creative subsidiary industries to have been born out of the Internet boom, is that of affiliate marketing. It is a simple advertising plan that allows the distribution of wealth to be spread from the large sports betting companies all the way down to standard Internet users. It is also an industry that maintains competition within the sector and helps companies grow into larger businesses. It works as a sort of reward scheme for websites that host the sports betting sites advertisements.

When a player joins via an affiliate site, identified by a unique URL, the affiliate then shares a percentage of said players lifetime money generated for the site. Therefore with the affiliate amply rewarded for their part in generating new customs, it becomes their duty to continue bringing in more and more new customers. It is through this success and reward strategy that the affiliate program has become such a successfully and profitable marketing strategy for so many industries, including that of online sports betting.

A Beginner's Guide to Becoming an Online Casino Gambling Affiliate

Affiliate programs can be found wherever there is an online industry hungry for extra advertising. It is a simple enough transaction, you create a site and offer to host advertisements and when somebody comes to your site click on the links, signs up and then the affiliate receives a payment as reward. It may sound like an unlikely way to generate money, but in fact the truth is very different. Millions of dollars are generated by affiliates each and every year, just for the pleasure of hosting adverts. But perhaps the best thing about the online affiliate program is that there are no sign up fees involved. This means that Internet users with all budget capabilities and with any range of skills can access this intriguing industry.

The online Casino industry owes much of its success to the network of affiliates that keep attracting new players every day. The casinos actively encourage Internet users to join their affiliate programs, because it is useful to increase the range and breadth of sites. Because no money is exchanged until the affiliate actually encourages a visitor to join the site, it is hugely beneficial to both parties. The Casino benefits from having free advertising, whilst the affiliate gets all the banners and advertising options they need to generate cash. Because no money exchanges hands in the initial exchange, there is no implied risk for either side, making it one of the greatest foolproof online ventures.

All that a sports betting affiliate needs to create a site is a web address and a little know how. Obviously the better the site and the more popular it becomes, the greater the chance you can have of making some money. Therefore an affiliate can create a large amount of cash just from one player. However in the affiliate program there is no limit to how much a person can make. Just by increasing a site visibility an affiliate can make sure that they attract more people to their site.

With more traffic passing through an affiliate site there is a greater chance of capturing the all-important new customers for the site that they are promoting. With every new customer generated so the revenue increases, as an affiliate is earning a percentage of a players money generated for their entire lifetime, there is no real limit to how much or how long that can be.

But once a new affiliate has worked out the system and understands the promotional tools at their disposal, there is no limit to the success that they can enjoy. With dozens of players funding your account on a regular basis, the money will soon be rolling in.

Affiliate Marketing: How To Smash The Glass Ceiling

Most affiliate marketers unconsciously create an invisible “glass ceiling” that curtails the growth of their own affiliate business. They do this by failing to create a substantial, positive profile on the Internet.

Are you reluctant to “stand out from the crowd”? Do you feel more comfortable being invisible on the Internet?

Most people experience a natural reticence to be “out there”, to “stand up and be counted”. How often are the front rows of a course or meeting left vacant because most people would rather be invisible up the back!

The same is true on the Internet, particularly with affiliate marketers. The noun “affiliate” means “connected as a part or an associate of…”, and the verb “affiliate” means “to connect to” or “join oneself to”. It does not, however, mean “lose oneself in…”

When you join an affiliate program, there is a tendency to lose your own personality in the “personality” of the program and its owner. Yet the really successful affiliate marketers are those who are able to place their own unique identity on what they do. They stand out by being themselves, showing who they are and what they have to offer.

Think about your last visit to an affiliate program forum. The people who most likely left an impression on you were those who showed a strong sense of humour, an uncanny insight or a way of viewing the world positively and energetically. These people leave their mark and their impression. Their forum postings are like “footprints in the sand” – they are not afraid to be different, to let their personalities shine through.

If you are going to develop a distinctive profile, you need to understand your own strengths and capacities. Your distinctiveness as an affiliate marketer derives from your unique life history and skill set. You need to find an affiliate program that will build on these strengths and enable you to realize your potential.

The real challenge for you as an affiliate marketer is to find an affiliate offering that draws on your unique knowledge, skills and competencies. You need an affiliate program that enables YOU to “shine”!

What “image” or “Internet profile” are you trying to create? Are you able to be yourself through your affiliate program? Or are you being an extension of someone else?

You need to find an affiliate offering that aligns with your desired profile and your unique competencies. This is the way to create an affiliate business, not just affiliate cheques.

To achieve this, you have to develop yourself. You will need to progressively develop self-awareness, the capacity to overcome fear of visibility and a willingness to continuously review what you are doing. A real synergy will emerge as you learn to integrate your affiliate offering, your profile and your competencies.

You will find that you will break through the glass ceiling as you make a real statement about who you are, what you value and what you have to offer. You will make a real difference because you can “add value” to your affiliate offering in a unique way. This is the only sustainable source of competitive advantage in affiliate marketing.

Internet & Affiliate Marketing: Celebrate The Small Victories

Most internet marketing ventures start as one-man operations. When mistakes are made, you know who to blame. But don't just beat yourself up, remember that when progress is made, that was all you too. Celebrate the small victories.

When you are just starting in internet marketing, keeping a positive mindset can be a crucial ingredient of long term survival. On or off the web, most new businesses do not become profitable immediately. Sales can be mediocre as your marketing campaign gets going, and if you didn't plan ahead for this fallow period you may begrudge the out-of-pocket expenses that arise. It is easy to get discouraged.

Worse, many marketers lack basic support and encouragement. In a normal workplace there are other employees to share the load and help solve problems. Not so for most start-ups, and your personal support network may lack enthusiasm. Your friends may think you're a sucker involved with some newfangled scam. Your family may worry that your seemingly unprofitable internet career is interfering with your day job.

You must remember that you are your own manager, and good managers care about their employees' morale and motivation. Notice and enjoy the small milestones in your business as they pass by, whether it is finally getting your web design just right or suddenly nailing the top search position on a good keyword. Reward yourself with a day off or a good meal. Tell your friends about it even if their eyes glaze over; you listen to their dull stories about their crappy jobs, right?

Verbalizing your success is for your own benefit, and it can help you assess your accomplishments and know when you've made real progress along your business plan. Don't commit the common mistake of neglecting the hardest working, most under-appreciated person in your employ - yourself.

Getting started with this kind of marketing strategy is actually really easy. All you need to do is to set up an agreement with an online retailer or merchant, after that, you can immediately start making money selling the products.

The most popular method of selling other people’s products online is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a relationship between an online merchant or retailer, who has products to sell, and his affiliates, who are willing to promote the merchant’s product on their website for a portion of the sales.

The merchant provides their affiliates with banners and text ads that links to their site. The affiliates will then post these on their website and they get paid whenever sales or traffic is sent to the merchant’s site. Affiliates are usually paid on commission basis, although some online merchants pay a fixed fee for the affiliate’s compensation.

Getting starting making money online with affiliate marketing is quick and easy. All that you have to do is sign up as an affiliate for a product or an online company that offers an affiliate program. Another option, and usually an easier one, is to sign up as a member of an affiliate network, although other companies and networks may ask you to pay a fee. Such fees are made as payment for additional services that the company has to offer, like providing you with tools and support to kickstart your online business.

When you sign up with an affiliate program and become an affiliate, you are now ready to start making truckloads of cash selling other people’s product online. How do you make money?

There are a number of ways for you to make money as an affiliate, and most depends on the type of affiliate marketing program you signed up for.

Most affiliate programs compensate their affiliates in one of three ways: pay-per-click (PPC), pay-per-sale (PPS), or pay-per-lead (PPL). With pay-per-click affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever they direct traffic to the merchant’s site. PPS and PPL affiliate marketing programs work different. In PPS, the affiliate gets paid when their referral converts into a sale.

In typical PPS affiliate programs, the affiliate usually gets 15% to 20% commission for each sale. PPL affiliate programs work is a simalar way, although the affiliate is paid a fixed fee whenever their referral converts into a lead.

There are also two-tier affiliate marketing programs, where the affiliate can also recommend other affiliates to the merchant. In such programs, the affiliate would not only be paid for the traffic or sales that they would send to the merchant’s site but also for the traffic or sales directed by the affiliates who signed up through his recommendation.

One of the best ways to earn more profits with affiliate marketing is through residual income programs. Residual programs are affiliate programs where the affiliate gets paid a number of times for as long as the merchant keeps the customer the affiliate referred. One form of residual income is the affiliate gets paid a commission every time the referred customer makes a purchase on the merchant’s site. Another form of residual income gets the affiliate paid a percentage every month for as long as the customer remains with the company.

There are a lot of options out there and a lot of ways to make money, affiliate marketing is without a doubt the most popular and the easiest way to make money selling other people’s products online. As to how much money you can earn from affiliate marketing actually depends on how much work you put into it. A hardworking and dedicated affiliate will definately get more from the program as compared to those affiliates who sign up and don't take action.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

In affiliate marketing you don't have to be the producer of the product. You can just sell the product to anyone, which is manufactured by a third party. This sort of marketing can be on broadcasting media, through Internet and any other possible medium. Generally the commission in affiliate marketing is around 25%-50%.

Any website can be linked back to an e-commerce website, if there is an agreement between an e-commerce website and an affiliate website. If someone clicks on the link given on the affiliate website, a cookie is saved in the person's computer. The cookie is tracked by the e-tailer and if the person buys something then the commission amount is given to the affiliate marketer.

A network of affiliate marketing is formed by a group of merchants and a group of affiliates. To advertise products merchants join in this network. To earn commission many new affiliates also join in this network. Merchants get a wide range of affiliates all over the world. Affiliates are also not bound to any certain merchant. They can achieve the target amount by selling the products of the entire merchant range and get their commissions.

Affiliate marketing is picking up and already it is a multi-billion dollar industry. It is challenging the traditional way of marketing.

3 Baby Steps to Affiliate Marketing Success

Are you thinking about getting involved with affiliate marketing

This article will give you three simple strategies to start your affiliate marketing career off on the right foot

The key to success in this business is focus and dedication

1)Stop signing up for every new affiliate program that comes your way - stay focused on one to start with.

If you really want to succeed as an affiliate marketer, then sign up with one reputable affiliate program to start and focus on that one program until it is running smoothly. Refrain from joining every program that comes your way... it's just too overwhelming.

Most do it because they think they will make more money but soon discover that they are in fact losing money.

That's the wrong way to play the affiliate marketing game, so just start with one program and stay focused.

2)Select and register a domain name

Owning your own domain name is the first step towards building trust with your potential customers, refrain from using free Website & hosting services as they tend to be associated with scams, schemes or amateurs, in the eyes of the average consumer.

Try to choose a domain name that is closely related to the product or service that you are promoting, for example if you are promoting cellular phones you might want to register a domain name such as www.cell-phone-site.com or something similar.

Although it is not a proven fact,it is believed that the search engines will give more weight to a website that has the major keywords in the domain name, plus it looks much more impressive and legitimate to a potential customer

The Internet has tons of places where you can register domains for about $7 or $8 per year, simply do a search for "cheap Domain names" and go from there.

3)Time to build a Web Site

If you don't know html, you can use free site building software that helps you build a website even if you no nothing about Website creation . You can build a WebSite using any of the sitebuilders you will find online, but remember to transfer your domain name so that you are not using there free domain name & hosting. They will usually charge about $5 a month for hosting.

Owning your own web site is a crucial part to building trust with your visitors and it will also enable you to add unique content which the search engines love.

The more often you update your content the more often the search engines will come back to spider your site which will let them know that your website is fresh and not stagnant, this will help to move your site up the pages of results.

Remember, these three steps are the first steps you will need to follow when starting out in affiliate marketing, all too often an individual will join multiple programs and start submitting the affiliate pages to the search engines (those are the page that have their affiliate ID# on them). The problem with doing that, is that the search engines DO NOT rank affiliate pages well in their search results, so therefore your page will NEVER be seen by anyone.

Search engines are able to tell the difference between affiliate pages and originals simply because the URL will have a ? in it or some other tell tale sign.

So, when starting out in affiliate marketing be sure to take your baby steps first.

Poker Affiliate Programs: Affiliates Cashing in on Online Poker Boom

Poker has been a card played amongst friends and professionals for centuries. It has long since been one of the most popular card games as well as gambling pursuits. Players get to pit their wits against friends, colleagues or even enemies in the game. Inevitably with the rise in popularity in the Internet during the mid 1990's, the opportunities available to all industries allowed many to move into the online sector.

The gaming industry was quick to capitalise, creating sites dedicated to gambling and games. Poker was possibly not the most obvious choice to become one of the largest businesses.

However through the online forums and interactivity of the once very linear game, the online poker industry thrived. So much so that it is now one of the most lucrative and competitive markets on the Internet.

The online version of the game of poker is fundamentally the same in terms of rules and etiquette, but a number of the things familiar to many players of the traditional games have either gone or been replaced. The Internet offers people the opportunity to create and expand industries and develop new ideas. This is essentially what happened to poker as it has become rejuvenated and popularised beyond all possible comprehension. As a result of the radical changes in interactivity and game play the game of poker has become one of the most popular online games.

The thriving industry has been growing many folds each year, keeping old customers and generating new ones with exciting game play and extra bonuses. But in such a competitive environment staying ahead is essential, therefore advertising and becoming an important industry name are important factors. Like most industries the poker business has been quick to take advantage of the thriving affiliate market. The affiliate program allows poker companies the free range of advertising without having to shell out huge volumes of their capital.

The affiliate market works by large Internet sites rewarding smaller subsidiary sites with money on receiving new customers. The system is an intricate web of advertising that offers small sites the opportunity to capitalise from the success of larger sites. The larger the industry the greater the opportunity of earning serious money. Therefore a thriving industry just based on affiliates has boomed out of the online gaming industries. Affiliates can earn substantial amounts of cash, based on a percentage of the money generated by the customers they attract, it doesn't take long for an affiliate marketer to generate serious business for themselves.

The bonuses and opportunity that come with working with such a large industry has opened the doors to affiliates to make money. The potential profits for both parties make the affiliate program means that it is in the interest of each of them to promote and reward each other. The affiliates incentive is to provide customers in exchange for money, whilst the poker rooms enjoy the extra income bought in by new customers. With both parties benefiting hugely, it is no wonder that the market has become so competitive and even more successful.

How To Make Money Online With Google

The general public probably best recognizes Google as the web's premier search engine. Google's dominance on the Internet can't be denied or argued. But perhaps what many people don't realize, Google has become a premium revenue source for many webmasters and online marketers.

It has became a virtual cash-cow for those who have mastered Google with their marketing techniques. They know a number one spot for a competitive keyword or keyword phrase in Google will usually prove very lucrative, bringing in a steady automatic income.

Regardless of what the other search engines will attest, seasoned webmasters also know getting a top placement in Google will usually bring more traffic than a top placement in MSN or Yahoo combined! Getting a number one spot in Google for a popular keyword can prove very lucrative, earning a webmaster revenue 24/7/365.

Therefore, webmasters have to optimize their sites and keywords for Google if they want to turn a healthy profit. Optimizing your webpages for Google is a complete industry in itself, what you really have to keep in mind, besides on-page optimization like keyword density, mega tags, etc. is that Google places a great amount of weight on off-page links and anchor text.

Google ranks all webpages on the Internet by a scale of PR0 to PR10, higher is better. One-way links from high PR sites related to your keyword or website theme is highly valued and will usually move your site up on the SERPs (Search Engine Return Pages). This is the major factor why 'article marketing' is all the rage and why articles are great building blocks for getting top keywords and consequently extremely important for earning you revenue, directly or indirectly from Google.

There are countless strategies for getting those top keyword listings in Google. But in my opinion, one of the best experts on the net for website SEO is Brad Callen. His 'SEO Elite' is top quality SEO software and his soon to be released 'Keyword Elite' will greatly impact how keywords are used by webmasters and marketers.

Once you have gained significant traffic, you can use Google AdSense to earn revenue from your site or blog. Google AdSense lets webmasters and bloggers earn advertising revenue by placing the AdSense code on their sites. These can be text links, images, or banners. These AdSense ads will be directly related to your page's keywords. Top or highest paying keywords will naturally return more revenue. AdSense ads are extremely targeted and is an effective way of earning money from your site. Learn more: https://www.google.com/adsense

One of the undisputed top experts on using Google AdSense is Joel Comm. A seasoned marketer who has created some well informed products on Adsense -- mainly his Google AdSense Secrets ebook and courses.

Of course, Google gives marketers another option, you can buy your way onto Google's first page results by using Google AdWords. This is the popular Pay-Per-Click advertising system offered by Google. Perfecting the AdWord system is an art form in itself; do it right and you can create very lucrative cash streams. Do it wrong, and you can create your very own personal money pits! https://adwords.google.com/select

Therefore, it is strongly advised that you learn more about AdWords before you risk your hard earned cash. One of the best sources for Google AdWords is still Perry Marshall's excellent ebook 'Google Cash'. It will give you all the basics on Google AdWords.

Just about everyone knows about Google's two popular programs AdWords and AdSense, but there are other ways marketers can earn money promoting Google products or services. Google has started to list products that an affiliate can promote through the AdSense program.

You can earn money by promoting the Firefox browser with the Google search box and you can also promote Google's AdSense program to other webmasters and earn money by referring new users.

The next logical step for Google is to offer more products through its AdSense affiliate program. Many seasoned marketers are promoting Google's AdSense, it would be counterproductive for Google not to take advantage and offer other products/services through this marketing system. Its own products or other closely related third party products.

Many marketers would gladly promote products under the Google banner mainly because any Google branded product would be an easy sale for most affiliate marketers.

Google pays monthly but you do have to earn $100 before they send you a check. Getting a check from Google is somewhat special, no matter what the amount, show your family and friends a check from Google and their eyes will pop open! If you're an online marketer you may get quite a few larger checks from different online companies but nothing will get you the respect a Google check does. Just goes to show how much Google has permeated into our everyday lives.

Not that you need it, but it's just another reason to start earning money for Google. Try some of the programs listed above and you will be smiling all the way to... now, where the heck is that Google Bank?
