Viral Marketing Through PLR Products For Your Affiliate Success

by Mark Favin

It's true what they say. Affiliate programs are the fastest and most cost-effective way of earning profit - a lot of profit - online.

Affiliate programs are free to join. You won't have to pay onerous enrollment fees. Simply sign up with their systems and you're good to go.

Affiliate programs also allow you to choose which products you want to promote. You feel that one product is a hard sell? Forget about it and choose another. There are many options available for you.

Furthermore, you're not limited to just one affiliate program. You could join as many affiliate programs you'd want, and each of them can become an income stream for you and your family.

Affiliate programs don't require you to actually sell products. All you have to do is to pre-sell, i.e. advertise, the affiliate merchant's offers. The preparation of the sales page, the payment processing, the digital delivery, the post-sales support... the affiliate merchant will take care of all these. All that you have to do is to lead people to the affiliate merchant's sales page through your affiliate links. And if these people decide to make a purchase, you'd earn 20% to 95% of the selling price as commission!

Yes, affiliate marketing is all about garnering a lot of exposure for your affiliate links. After all, how would people click on them if they don't get to see the same, right?

And one of the most powerful promotional strategies that you could employ to gain the highest level of success in this field is a viral marketing campaign.

Simply put, a viral marketing campaign is the online equivalent of word-of-mouth advertising. It's buzz advertisement at its finest. Create a stir and every person who will receive your viral message would be an advertising vehicle for your online enterprise. They'd spread your message at an exponential rate that would spread so fast to help you achieve a lot of success.

The most common example is an eBook with valuable information which you would distribute for free. Because the content is very important, and because people don't have to pay to receive the same, they'd excitedly share the said eBook to the members of their own network. These recipients would feel the same way. They'd share the eBook to the members of their respective networks as well.

It is a self-replicating process that could possibly go on forever. Soon enough, your initial 5 recipients would become 25. A few more days, and they'd become 125. Then 625, and well into the thousands at such a short period.

How will this help your affiliate marketing campaign?

Imagine this: what if such a viral eBook is populated with your affiliate links? What if you'd recommend products in its pages, with such products hyperlinked with your affiliate links?

Indeed, you'd be able to lead a lot of people to the affiliate merchant's sales page!

And this where PLR products come in.

With PLR products, you could make any alterations and revisions to readymade works. PLR articles can be mixed and matched to form excitingly new eBooks, for example. Two or more PLR eBooks can be broken down into a variety of components and joined together to form a new combination that the market has never seen before. PLR software programs can be re-branded to reflect your affiliate links.

There are so many things you could do with PLR products that would make them great carriers for your viral marketing campaign. Best of all, you'd be able to streamline the creation process of your viral marketing seeds, which can be more expensive and more time-consuming otherwise.

Building a library of PLR products relevant to the subject your affiliate programs are servicing would give you a lot of options for some marketing muscles to push your profits to the next level.

The Different Types Of Affiliate Marketing

by Eugenijus Sakalauskas

Have you ever wondered if what you know about affiliate is accurate? Consider the following paragraphs and compare what you know to the latest info on affiliate.

Affiliate marketing programs has never been as popular before as it is today. Why? There can be a number of reasons. The most probable reason, however, could be the fact that the benefits of affiliate marketing have become clearer to a lot of people now than they were before.

Today, both the merchants and the affiliates can see clearly that affiliate marketing can work for both of them. The merchant sees affiliate marketing today as the chance to advertise their products at a lower cost. The affiliates, on the other hand, sees affiliate marketing as an easy way of earning profits online by doing what they like most, and that is by creating websites.

Just as the popularity of affiliate marketing has shifted into greater heights, so has the people's outlook about it changed. No longer is affiliate marketing considered today as an alternative method for the merchant to advertise his products, or as a source of additional income for the affiliates. For merchants and affiliates alike, affiliate marketing is now considered as a main source of profits and revenues.

So the question now is what type of affiliate marketing will work best for you? Are all affiliate marketing programs the same? Are the benefits the same? Or are there affiliate marketing programs that work better than the others?

There are actually different types or classes of affiliate marketing, and the number of types will depend on how one will classify them. The most basic affiliate marketing programs, however, falls under two categories: pay-per-click (PPC), and pay-per-performance (PPP).

-Pay Per Click (PPC)

PPC is the most popular type of affiliate marketing for affiliates with small websites, and probably the easiest way for them to earn money. In this affiliate marketing type, the merchant pays his affiliate whenever a visitor is referred to his site, that is whenever someone clicks through the merchant's banner or text ads. The affiliate gets paid a certain amount even if the visitor he referred does not purchase anything from the merchant's site. However, typical fees for PPC affiliate programs are small, usually not exceeding a dollar for every click.

-Pay Per Performance (PPP)

PPP affiliate marketing is the most popular among merchant and is also the most lucrative type for the affiliates. In this type of affiliate program, the merchant only pays the affiliate whenever his referral translates into an action--that is whenever the visitor he has referred actually buys something from the merchant's site or when the visitor becomes a lead. This means a lot of savings for the merchant. On the other hand, it becomes the most lucrative type for the dedicated affiliate, for commissions in PPP affiliate marketing usually comes in the range of 15% to 20% of the actual product sales.

Pay-per-performance affiliate marketing can be further classified into two popular types: pay-per-sales (PPS) and pay-per-lead (PPL).

-Pay Per Sale (PPS)

In a pay-per-sale type of affiliate marketing, the merchants pay the affiliate a certain fee whenever the visitor he has referred to the merchant's site actually buys something from the merchant's site. Affiliates are often paid on commission basis, although other merchants would opt to pay a fixed fee. But no matter what the basis of the fee is, it is generally higher than the fee paid to affiliates in a pay-per-click affiliate program.

-Pay Per Lead (PPL)

The pay-per-lead type of affiliate marketing is a slight variation of the PPS type and is often used by insurance and finance companies and other companies who rely on leads for their company to grow. In this type of affiliate marketing, the affiliate is paid whenever the visitor he referred to the merchant's site fills up an application form or any similar form related to the business of the company. Compensation for this type of affiliate marketing is based on a fixed fee whose rates approximate that of the fixed fee in the PPS type.

Aside from these three specific types of affiliate marketing, a lot of other affiliate marketing types exist. If the classification is based on the depth of the affiliate network, it can be classified as single-tier, two-tier, and multi-tier affiliate marketing. There is also another type of affiliate marketing that pays the affiliate each time the customer he has referred purchases something from the merchant's site.

-Single-Tier, Two-Tier, and Multi-Tier Affiliate Marketing

These types of affiliate marketing are based on the different levels or tiers in the affiliate network by which payments are made. In a single-tier affiliate marketing program, the affiliates are only paid based on the direct sales or traffic he has referred to the merchant. All the previously mentioned affiliate marketing types (i.e. PPS< PPL, and PPC) fall under the single-tier classification.

-In two-tier affiliate marketing programs, the affiliate is not only paid for the direct traffic or sales that he refers to the merchant's site, but also on every traffic or sales referred by various other affiliates who joined the affiliate program through his recommendation. Multi-tier affiliate marketing works the same way, although the affiliate gets additional commission for a wider number of affiliates in different tiers in the affiliate network.

-Residual Income Affiliate Marketing

In residual income affiliate marketing, the affiliate gets paid not only once for every customer he has referred to the merchant's site. Rather, the affiliate is also paid whenever the customer he has referred returns to the site and purchase another product. Compensation for such type of affiliate marketing is based on either sales percentage commission or fixed fee basis.

The different affiliate marketing types would virtually work differently for merchants and affiliates alike, and each would generally have their own list of benefits. Which type of affiliate marketing will work best for you? It is not really for me to tell. Rather, it is for you to choose which type of affiliate marketing program will suit your needs and characteristics best.

The day will come when you can use something you read about here to have a beneficial impact. Then you'll be glad you took the time to learn more about affiliate.

Why You Should Promote Residual Affiliate Programs

By Pascal D'Sanchez

Are you a webmaster in need of additional income? Or are you planning to set up an online business but you still don't have any product to sell? If so, affiliate marketing may be the best solution for your problems.

With affiliate marketing, you won't need to worry about the products you have to sell. All you need to have is a website with sufficient contents that are related to the products of a certain online company offering affiliate programs.

By becoming a member of the program, or by becoming an affiliate, you can start earning a certain amount of money right away!

Affiliate marketing is some sort of business relationship established between a merchant and his affiliates. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to direct some traffic to a merchant's website. If that traffic is converted into some kind of action, like a visitor purchasing a product on the merchant's website or a visitor becoming a lead for the company, the affiliate who directed the traffic will be compensated.

Compensation may take the form of either a percentage sales commission for the sales generated or a fixed fee predetermined upon the application of the affiliate on the merchant's affiliate program. Promising a lot of benefits both for the merchants and the affiliates, affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular online marketing methods today.

In fact, almost every merchant or retailer site today offers an affiliate program that any one can join into.

Most retailers would entice people to become affiliates or members of their program by promising great benefits like large commissions, lifetime commissions, click through incomes and a lot of other benefits.

But would all these affiliate programs bring off the same benefits? Most affiliate programs would pay you, as an affiliate, a one-time commission for every sale or lead you brought to the merchant's website. Commissions for this kind of affiliate programs are usually large, ranging from 15% to a high of about 60%.

Other affiliate programs would pay you a fixed fee for every click through or traffic you send to the merchant's site. Programs like this often pay a smaller fee for every click through, usually not getting any larger than half a dollar. The good thing about this kind of program, however, is that the visitor won't have to purchase anything in order for the affiliate to get compensated.

Another type of affiliate program is the residual income affiliate program.

Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of sales commission for every sale directed by the affiliate to the merchant's site. This commission often comes only in the range of 10% to 20% sales commission. Because of this, many people ignore residual affiliate program and would rather opt for the high paying one-time commission affiliate program.

Are these people making a mistake, or are they making the right decision? We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a mistake by choosing a high paying one-time commission affiliate program. But we can definitely say that they are making a large mistake if they ignore residual affiliate programs.

Residual affiliate programs would indeed pay at a lower rate, but merchants offering such kind of programs would generally pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale!

That means, for the same effort you made in promoting a particular affiliate program, you get paid only once in a one-time commission program, and a regular and ongoing commission for a residual program!

So, are the benefits of promoting residual affiliate programs clearer to you now? Or are they still vague? If they are still vague, then let's make them a bit clearer with this example. Suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services on their sites. The first merchant offers a one-time commission type of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale.

The second merchant also offers an affiliate program, but this time a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 for every single affiliate initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get attracted at once at what the first merchant is offering, as $80 is definitely a lot larger than $10.

But by thinking things over before actually getting into them, one may be able to see that the second merchant is offering us more opportunity to earn a larger amount of money.

Supposed you have directed traffic to the merchant and it converted into a sale, you'll get paid once by the first merchant for the sale you have initiated. But with the second merchant, you'll get paid monthly for as long as the customer you have referred to the merchant continues to avail of the web hosting service.

That means that for the same effort of getting one customer to avail of the merchant's service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate programs. So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting?

Definitely yes, because you virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run! And would residual affiliate programs work best for you? Probably not, probably yes. It is not really for me to tell. But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs. So why not investigate a program today you really have nothing to lose particularly as so many of them are free to join

Getting Started with Google AdSense

Google AdSense is either the greatest thing since peanut butter, or evil incarnate, depending on who you listen to! Personally, I like AdSense. It allows me to earn money from sites that just sat there waiting for me to put in some kind of method for charging people previously.

I can write whatever I feel inspired to write, slap it onto a website, and make money from it! Of course, if I write popular things, I make more money. And if I write using terms people LOOK for, I make even more!

A website with a fair amount of traffic can make a little. Purportedly, the average site makes $20 per month. When you consider how little work you have to do to get that $20 per month, ongoing, it is not too hard to build another site that makes $20 per month. Better yet, it is not too hard to tweak the wording of the pages a tad so that they use keywords that people will use to search for them, and increase the income on each site.

I am in no way suggesting anything unethical, just stating that search engine optimization techniques become doubly important when the site uses Google AdSense to earn, because not only will it get you more targeted traffic, it will get ads delivered to your site that are more closely targeted to your content. Remember not to include words that you do not want Google to display ads about.

Your site must be built, and should be registered with search engines before you post ads. And you have to have content - not just a notice saying "in development", on every page that you put ads on.

The first thing you need to do is to go to the Google AdSense site and check out their terms of use. They are pretty strict about your content, and you must follow the rules or they'll boot you out with no warning. Get your account, and then select some code that coordinates with your site design.

Place the code in a logical place - Top of the page, sidebars, and bottom of the page are standard places for ads, to keep your site from looking tacky. Google has a limit of how many you can put on a page, so make sure you know what it is for the type of ad you are using.

Get the code in, and upload your pages. You can look at the ads on your pages, but do not click on one. Don't even think about it. Clickfraud is dealt with very sternly - your account is suspended, and any earnings you had to that point are forfeit if you are suspected of clickfraud, and Google does not change their mind. Once you are out, you are out for good. If you want to make money with Google, clickfraud is not the way to do it, and they consider any clicks you generate to be clickfraud.

Don't have your friends go clicking on the ads either. Clicks are analyzed for normal patterns, and any anomalies will raise a red flag.

You can create "channels" in Google, to track the performance of various site sections, pages, or separate sites. This will help you to see what is working and what is not. Your goal is to make money... but fairly. You don't want to cheat anyone else by using unethical tactics to do so. Just follow the rules and use the tools Google provides to see which of your areas does best.

Once you get one site going well, you can build another. And with the next one, you don't have to apply for an account with Google, you are already in. Just load the site, register it, and add the Google code.

Google AdSense can be a great way to either supplement your existing website, or to build a separate income based on information sites. It takes a lot of work to make a full time income from it, but then, everything does!

Affiliate Marketing: 7 Steps to Automated Profits!

Do you remember when there was no remote controls, or microwaves?

Well, many of those things really automate our lives now, in fact many things in our lives are automated, we can say that in general we really like things to be automated because it makes our lives easier.

And the same applies to affiliate marketing, we would love it to be more automated, to make money the easy and smart way...,right?...

Well it is possible, but just like the many automated things we have today took time in the beginning to create, the same thing applies to automate your profits.

It is going to take some time in the beginning to get started and set up everything you need, but once the system is in place, you can begin to reap the benefits of having your own automated money making machine.

There is some basic things you are going to need to set up your automated affiliate machine, but once you have learned how to do it, you can do it over and over again for repeated profits.

Let us find out how:

1)==> The first thing you need to do is to find a good affiliate product that supplies the needs of a certain niche.

Use the following tool to find a profitable niche: (under keywords)

After you have found a nice niche, you can go and find an appropriate affiliate program or product that supplies the need of that specific niche, (try google, search for: "affiliate program")

tip: Always take a look at the affiliate products sales copy and ask your self, does it makes you want to buy?.....

You can also try to contact the owner and ask how much their conversion is, this way you know how many visitors you need to send to that specific site to make a profit.

And one more thing, don´t settle for a commission of less then 50%.

2)==> Set up domain and hosting.

In this step you must go and find a good domain name and a place to host your site, you can find a good one at

The prices are not very expensive, and if you are just starting out, it is a good place to start with.

They are very reliable and have been around for several years now, you can pay via paypal or credit card.

3)==> A Reliable Autoresponder.

In the process of making your affiliate campaigns more automated you are going to definitely need an autoresponder.

It works the same way as an automated answering machine but instead it delivers prewritten messages (written by you) under several days, you can configure it to send out messages with intervals of just a couple of days or more.

I do not recommend you to get a free autoresponder since in every message you send out to your costumers, there is and ad included.

Does not look very professional, right?...

The best thing to do is to get a "real" and reliable autoresponder system. You can find several ones out there, just go to google and type "autoresponders".

I personally recommend: Emailaces, Getresponse or Aweber.

4)==> A Landing Page.

If you don´t know what a landing page is, it is simply a page with a short message that stimulates the person to subscribe to your list in change of a very compelling benefit, like for example a free report.

This is very important, because if you don´t do it these people may never come back and you will have lost that client forever...

So don´t take this step lightly, it will literally jump start your sales.

5)==> The Automated System...

Now the time to combine things has come:

Inside your autoresponder account you can generate a form that you can setup on your site, so when people land on you site they can subscribe to your list and then once they are on your list you can follow up with several prewritten messages.

You can for example create a mini course delivered through several days or presell for a specific product and then in every message slip in your affiliate recommendation.

Another beautiful thing is that when they fill out the form you can redirect them to your affiliate product site and make a sale, this works very well.

6)==> How to set everything up?

Do you have dreamweaver or some kind of html editor?

If not you can use a free one, it is a very nice and handy little tool, it is called nvu, and you can find at

Take the form you generated inside your autoresponder account and paste into your site with your html editor.

7)==> Time to Promote.

One of the most important things of this whole system is that you must promote.

Yes! If you fail to promote or advertise your product the other steps won´t work...,

Some recommendations about where to start, I am putting them in the order I feel they will work best:

A) Google Adwords

Open an Google Adwords account and start advertising in 15 minutes, If you are unsure about how to use this resource, I recommend you checking out Brad Callen´s Free Google Adwords guidebook, it is a very good one, it´s free and you can find it on Google.

B) Solo Ads.

Use Ezine Solo Ads to get your message out quick, make a search on google for "Solo ads", If you don´t have much money to start with go for the ezines that have few subscribers, like for example I have found offers to mail an ezine ad to 10000 people for 25 bucks, but you can even find cheaper ads.

In most cases the other type of ezine ads does not perform as well as solo ads, so I would stick to solo ads.

C) Write Articles.

This is one of the best Free methods you can find to advertise you products!

I like it very much, I personally use it every time and always get results.

I recommend you make an article somehow useful that delivers good content that can help others, "How to" articles are always popular for example.

If you just feel you don´t like to write, hire one cheap at .

D) Link Exchange.

Many people exchange links to rank high in the search engines, and yes it does work, but also remember that it takes time to rank high.

I would consider that a secondary effect of linking, as I would focus on exchange links with other for the simple purpose of receiving traffic from your links on other sites.

Think about those steps and go to action!

Don´t lose more time, act now and automate your profits today, your bank account will appreciate it!

Lead Capture + Autoresponder + Affiliate Products = Awesome Autopilot Profits

The most appealing factor of online Affiliate Marketing is its potential to self-manage or autopilot itself, generating profits and building customer relationships irregardless of your involvement. A well set-up system will continue to work and bring in sales for you while you focus on build additional streams of income. Compared to traditional brick and mortar businesses, the opportunities that the Internet can offer are incredible, allowing you to market to a worldwide audience in hours and selling products you don't even have to keep an inventory of! You could be working out of your home, at a coffee place, at the beach, anywhere as long as there's an Internet connection.

So, what are they tools you'll need to get started? Here's a quick rundown on the 3 essential components of Affiliate Marketing.

1. A Lead Capture Page
2. Email Autoresponder
3. An Affiliate Product

Lead Capture Page.

This is basically a one-page 'website' with a short (but effective) sales copy. The purpose of this page is to grab your visitor's attention and collect their email before you send them to the actual website with the product you'll want to sell. This step is vital for your marketing efforts as you'll lose them for good if they decide not to buy.

Email Autoresponder

A good Autoresponder service is the lifeblood of you business. Its a service which you subscribe to monthly that manages all your emails that you've collected. A good system will send a sequence of timed messages each designed for a specific task (e.g. Product information, short courses, sales pitch, etc)

Affiliate Product

What good is your Lead Capture and Autoresponder if you don't have something to sell? There are many places that you can get products to sell, but a very popular place to start would be You can easily be a member and choose something you want to promote. When a visitor buys from your unique link (which Clickbank will supply you), you can get up to 75% commission!

So, there you go - the 3 components for affiliate success, but how do we string them all together? First, find your product, then make sure you read up about it. Next setup a quick one-page website with a sales copy for the product (could also be a positive review of it) and add your Autoresponder subscribe form (which your Autoresponder service will generate for you). You can set the "thank you" page in your Autoresponder after your visitor has subscribed to the actual product page with your affiliate link.

But wait - don't forget to preload your Autoresponder with more products timed to auto-send itself for the next 60 days or so. That way, you're constantly connecting with your customers and if your web copy is effective and your product selection is good, sit back and enjoy your new income stream!

I've made it sound very simple, but in actual fact, you'll need to read up a little more before you start. Learn about building a webpage, buying a domain and finding a good webhost. There are many excellent Autoresponder services online, just try posting at some forums and you'll sure to get some good advice. There's tons of resources online so I won't get into it here.

My objective is to give you an overview on how you can setup an effective automated sales cycle which can bring you an awesome return on investment. There's no business like it, the startup capital is very small but the returns can be really big!

I hope you've found this useful and will get you thinking about Affiliate Marketing - To Your Success!

Affiliate Marketing: Building Good Relationships

I spend a lot of time reading cleverly written articles by Affiliate marketing experts covering topics like “what is an affiliate program”, “how to go about marketing your business through affiliates”, “how to go about choosing an affiliate network”, “getting more out of your affiliate program” and many many more along these lines.

I have, however read very few articles on developing good affiliate relationships and really knowing who your affiliates are. Is this an important aspect of a successful affiliate program? YES! Without good affiliates, no affiliate program can be truly great!

Developing Your Existing Affiliates First

So, how to develop those relationships, I hear you ask? Simple. Let’s start with the affiliates you already have, even if they generate measly amounts of traffic or sales. These are people who have already expressed an interest in wanting to sell your product on your behalf, but their plans to promote you have not necessarily worked, or they have placed a banner or a link in a position that is not optimal on their sites or worse yet, they have implemented the tracking codes incorrectly. Your task is to get these affiliates generating big(ger) sales!

Draw up a list of who they are, excluding the top 20% of registered affiliates you have. This top 20% are your Super Affiliates. Incentivise them, get their feedback, and have your Affiliate Relationship Manager visit their sites every month. Most importantly, speak to them!

With the rest of the list, get into contact with every one of them, get to know them. Often all that is required is a human voice to guide them through the basics of the program. Host an Affiliate Conference to train your affiliates on your system and how it works. Treat them to a day of lunch, fun interactive workshops and allow them to give you suggestions, ask questions and really get involved. The best feedback you could ever hope for is the feedback you will get from your affiliates. Chances are they are affiliates with other companies too, and they will know a lot about how it works.

The Value of Tracking

Pay special attention to affiliate sites that generate a lot of clicks but no sales. Start by offering specific tips on which links are performing best. Propose new placements on the site for your links. Check the tracking. Do some research into the demographic of the affiliate site, and see if it matches the type of user you know is successful on your site. For example, chances are that a 30 year old, mid-income group woman may be interested in (so she clicks) but unable to purchase a Ferrari, for example (high clicks, low sales). The success of your program and the relationship you have with your affiliates is dependent on finding the right match!

The Benefits of Relationship Building

What you hope to achieve by doing all this, combined with regular contact with your affiliates, are good solid affiliate relationships. Affiliate marketing is all about these relationships and they can only develop if you take the time to understand who your affiliates are. You'll find that this time spent will pay off in the way of happy relationships and, therefore, business success.

Remember, size doesn't necessarily matter when it comes to affiliate marketing. You don't have to have a huge database of mediocre affiliates. Rather, concentrate on getting to know the affiliates you have by keeping the numbers down and on building those relationships first! Less is sometimes More!

Affiliate Marketing - Take A Chance

To my mind affiliate marketing would have to be the easiest way for anyone to gain independence that I know of. Imagine that you are in charge of your life, doing something you really want to do,when you want to do it.What freedom! You reap the rewards of your efforts and not some employer who takes the gravy from all your hard work. Affiliate marketing can make this possible.

Anyone who stumbles across affiliate marketing must wonder why it's so popular with so many people. It's because affiliate marketing tempts you with the possibility of riches within a system that is so simple; with an outcome all of us independence at the very least. To achieve all this you agree to sell someones' product for a predetermined commission. In a nutshell that's all there is to it.

It's a simple market to enter because of three basic features affiliate marketing possesses:

Accessibility -Start up cost is negligible. Anyone can

take on affiliate marketing. Flexibility -If one product or tactic isn't

working, move on to another. Portability -Your office is your computer, you can work

wherever you like, probably even

Say for instance you wanted to start a health supplies shop. How much would that cost? I estimate tens of thousands of dollars, but thru affiliate marketing and your computer, your set up costs would be almost zero by comparason.

Many of us go through life without ever taking a chance to gain independance. We may be comfortable where we're at,commitments such as family, mortgage, work, even social life, mean that any thought of actually attempting some life changing venture remains comfortably on the backburner. There is too much at stake to risk all we've worked for.If I look at my own situation, I work in a factory in the evenings, the people are great, the work is easy and well paid but the only satisfying thing I do there is the daily crossword when the boss isn't around.Very cosy but here's where affiliate marketing comes to the rescue.

Affiliate marketing has given me the opportunity to adopt something that gives me the potential to gain my real freedom. I may not get all the way there but at least I'm travelling in the right directon, gaining momentum, and achieving something for myself. All this while I still do the crossword in the evenings and bring home the bacon! It creates a feeling of satisfaction, achievement and independence. And all this without the threat of financial disaster.

Having said all of the above many people fail with affiliate marketing. In all honesty I could not recommend this course of action without stressing that although affiliate marketing is so simple to commence, to be at all successful you have to commit to your new business; for that's exactly what it is, a business just like any other business and must be treated as such to be at all successful.

Please be aware the number one thing that every affiliate marketer must do is communicate! There's absolutely no use having the best website with the best product at the best price if no body knows about it.You have to get your message out there.

I wish you success if you take on affiliate marketing. As it was for me affiliate marketing may be your golden opportunity to strive for independence without the need for capital and the threat of financial armageddon

Affiliate Programs for the Loose Tea Business

Affiliate Programs are an ideal way for a small or home business to enter the expanding world of loose tea. There are many elements to consider when becoming an affiliate relationship however.

Affiliate programs offer a high return on capital but many affiliate programs are over hyped and a waste of time and money.

One need only make a quick Google search to note the abundance of affiliate marketing programs on the internet. Most are worthless and, unless certain standards and criteria are met, represent a waste of affiliate energy and resources:

1.) A viable product with clear demand in the marketplace. Product pricing must allow for substantial commissions for the affiliate.

2.) A commission and feature rich e-commerce site that encourages easy and accurate ordering.

3.) Marketing support in the form of quality articles and banner advertising.

4.) Accurate and real time reporting of activity and accrual of commissions.

5.) Payment of commissions on time and as agreed.

Loose tea meets all of the product criteria:

• Loose Tea is a growing business with substantial and growing demand.

• Loose Tea is priced right in the market in order to generate substantial commissions.

• Repeat orders are the norm and repeat orders establish a steady flow of commissions.

• There are very few Tea companies with robust affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs are more than an agreement.

There are numerous examples of affiliate programs that fail because of lack of support, training and integrity in payment of commissions.

Align yourself with a tea company that is truly dedicated to an affiliate program as part of their core business. A successful core business affiliate program offers:

Leveraging of website traffic into real dollars.

Earning and receipt of monthly commissions with volume advantages.

Review sales reports 24 hours, 7 days a week.

Advanced reporting.

Monitoring of referred traffic versus actual sales.

Quick and easy enrollment.

If a small or home business wants to leverage its website traffic into revenue and commission dollars, it should align with a tea supplier that offers only quality, good margin products and treats affiliates as true partners.

Make Fast Cash Online: Two Speedy Methods

So you want to hop aboard the internet marketing bandwagon and make fast cash online, eh? Well there is good news and bad news. The good news is that you CAN make fast cash online; the bad news is that you have to learn HOW to make fast cash online. In this article, I’ll tell you the two speediest methods to get money into your bank account.

The first method is affiliate marketing in conjunction with pay-per-click (PPC) advertising. Go to Clickbank ( and find an ebook which pays a healthy commission of 50 - 60% or more. Ensure that it’s a good product worth promotion by checking out the sales page and enquiring about the product’s conversion rate.

Next, set up a small one-page website promoting this product. If you’re not particularly techno-savvy, you can use a blog for free. Attempt to pre-sell the product by giving a balanced review, pointing out the product’s benefits.

Then set up an account at Google Adwords ( Do some research on how Adwords works; for this purpose, it is worth purchasing a well-regarded ebook on the subject. Set up a campaign directed at your mini-site.

The simple idea here is to ensure you get make more in commissions than you do from Adwords expenses. Make sure your campaign contains a few variations of your advert, and track the results of each one. Dump the ones that are costing you cash and increase your bid values on the ones that are working. If you nail this method correctly after some trial and error, you can make major cash every day on autopilot.

The second method to make fast cash online is to launch your own product.

Don’t be too intimidated at this prospect. If you take the time to research how it is done properly, you can make a huge sum of money within a 24 hour period.

Let’s say you want to write an ebook. Identify a niche market where desperate buyers are in need of a solution (e.g. hair loss, acne). Write a 40 page ebook packed full of good information. You can compile this information yourself by doing some online research, or you can send off some emails to experts in the field asking them politely if they would answer some questions. Either way, it shouldn’t take you to long. If you’re not a particularly good writer, it’s definitely worth asking somebody to proofread your work.

After you have your ebook, convert it to PDF. Now build a one page website which will act as the sales letter. Do all the research you can on writing effective copy for sales letters. Add a payment processing link from Clickbank and add your ebook to their vault.

The next step is to promote the ebook. Go on related forums with a link to your ebook in your signature. Try starting a blog which points to your website. Go to internet marketing forums and ask individuals with lists of email addresses relevant to your ebook whether they’d be prepared to join you in a joint venture deal (they would email their list promoting your product and you would split all sales costs. You should offer the majority of the earnings to the marketer with the list).

That’s it, in a very hollow nutshell. Each of these methods incorporate many sub-skills which you must be prepared to learn through persistent research. The great news is that when you have acquired this knowledge, it will stay with you for life and in that you will have an ATM card with limitless credit. Take the time to learn, because the pay-off can be absolutely tremendous, enabling you to make fast cash online whenever you feel like it.

10 Sizzling Tips For Affiliates

1. Create an infopacked mini site. Build your mini site for a specific niche audience and then choose affiliate programs specifically for that niche audience.

2. Test and track your ads and promotions for your affiliate programs.

Tracking and testing your ads will show you exactly which ads, promotions and affiliate programs pay off the most for you and are excellent choices for you to continue to promote.

3. Publish an ezine.

Your ezine will give you a powerful way to promote your affiliate programs to your subscribers.

Choose affiliate programs that relate to the content of your ezine and that make it worth your while to promote them.

4. Promote your affiliate programs by recommending their products.

You could recommend your affiliate programs to your ezine subscribers in your publisher's note or you could create a recommended resources section where you promote your affiliate programs in every issue.

You could also recommend your affiliate programs to your visitors by creating a recommended affiliate programs section where you list your favorite affiliate programs along with descriptions of their products or services.

In addition, you could create a best affiliate programs section that helps you build up your second tier by listing the affiliate programs that have paid off the most for you.

5. Write product reviews where you detail the benefits you like about your affiliate program's product.

Make your product reviews honest and hype f~ree and post them on your site along with your other articles.

6. Write your own ads for your affiliate program.

A good way to create your ads is to look at the ad copy on the site of the business you want to promote and also ads they provide for their affiliates to use, and use their unique selling proposition or USP to write your ads.

Their unique selling proposition is a unique benefit that they promote in their ad copy that their competitors don't stress or offer to their visitors.

It could be that their product saves lots of time, is easy to understand, that their product is a complete answer to a problem, or it could involve their price.

Some businesses develop more than one USP so you'll be able to choose the one that you think works best in getting more targeted visitors to their site.

7. Try out the support of the companies you want to promote by asking questions.

This will help you to find out how long it takes them to respond to emails (if they respond to emails) and how professional they are.

8. Create freebies that promote your affiliate programs.

You could offer your visitors a f~ree email course, an ebook filled with your tips or articles or an ebook that provides your visitors with places to promote their businesses.

When creating freebies for an affiliate program that is 2 tier, increase your profits by letting your affiliates in your second tier use your freebies as a promotional item.

9. Create a directory.

Your directory could be an article, ezine, ebook or affiliate program directory.

List your own resources within your directory to increase your commissions. For example, you could add your own affiliate programs to your affiliate programs directory or your ebooks to your ebook directory.

Add a what's new section to your directory to garner more repeat traffic from your visitors.

You could also provide a tutorial on the subject of your directory, or add things to your directory that your visitors can use on a regular basis to get more repeat traffic.

10. Run ezine ads for your affiliate programs.

You could purchase sponsor, feature, classified or solo ads for your affiliate program.

Choose ezines with subscribers targeted to be interested in the products of the business you want to promote.

Run your ads for multiple issues in a row when possible to maximize the profit you get from your ads.

You can also run f~ree ads in ezines as many ezines offer
f~ree advertising on a weekly, monthly or per issue basis to
get more new subscriptions.

Running f~ree ads can help you find out which ads work best,
and which ezines are most responsive before you purchase
ezine advertising.

A Surefire Way To Start a Joint Venture

This is the most important part of a Joint Venture (JV) Process, "What have you got to offer?".

In fact, in any business, if you've got nothing of value, you'll get nothing.

You have to create an offer that is unique and attractive to your prospect that they would be crazy to refuse.

Because competition for affiliate's attention, especially with the 'Super Affiliates', are not easy. You just have to make it very favourable and worthwhile for them to review your product and promote it.

Ask yourself, 'Why should they work with you, when they can work with someone else?'

If you want attention from a potential JV partner, stand out from the crowd.

Offer a quality product wrapped with an incentive that can't be turned down, sa over 60% commission.

'Dangle that Carrot!' and really drive the benefits of offering your product to your Joint Venture partner's list!

Here's an example of a possible JV process.

Say, you have a quality eBook packed full of quality information and tips on building your list quickly for a succesful online business.

Here's a pitch to a JV prospect:

1) Offer *FREE* rebranding rights to the eBook and affiliate links;

2) Offer to advertise their product or service at a prominent position in the eBook;

3) Offer 70% Commission for any sales generated from their list. And if you have the facility to offer 2-tier commission, offer a further 10% commission;

Don't know about you, but that should get someone knocking down your door!

And in return, you want them to send a solo mailing to their list promoting the eBook.

Is It Even Worth A Dollar?

#1 What is the value of the product? To find out the value of the product you will have to “use” the product. There are 3 ways you could do that. You could buy the product and use it OR you could request for a review copy OR you could ask existing customers. After you decided that it is a good product, you will need to find out if it SELLS.

#2 Does the webpage convert? This is a little trick to find out because you do not have access to the vendors’ sale statistics but there are some methods you could use. Firstly, visit the sales page and gauge for yourself how persuasive is it. Secondly, visit its listing in Clickbank via the marketplace and check out the stats there. Is it selling? How many affiliates promoting it?

#3 What bonuses does it give?Bonuses are an important part of the buying and selling process, for some it could be the pivotal point in the buyer’s decision process. Ask yourself; are the bonuses some crap thrown together? Are they of certain value themselves? Would you be happy with the bonuses if you bought?

#4 How much can you make? What is the commission like? Do not just blindly select the one which pays the highest commission! You have to take into account the price, whether people will actually buy from the site. You would be better off earning a 50% commission on a $30 book selling 2 units a day rather then earning a 75% commission on a $100 dollar software that sells 2 units per month.

#5 What kind of affiliate resources do they give?Email solos, banners, classified ads templates and articles are just some of the things you could utilize. What kind of resources do they provide? Do they offer any help? Are these resources easy to use and impltement?

These methods are just a few ways you can determine if a product is worth your time and money promoting. Experimenting and testing is also a very important part of the whole affiliate marketing procedure. And most importantly, never give up!

These 3 tips are only touching the tip of the iceberg. For more information on how to really select, promote and finally profit from products in Clickbank, head on to

Easy Way To Make Money Online: 8 Steps To Affiliate Cash

In this article, I am going to show you an easy way to make money online. But first, let’s take a general overview of where a newcomer fits in. We all know that there is a wealth of possibility out there on the internet, and it seems that every week we are hearing stories of individuals having “a $20,000 day” within internet marketing circles. Of course, most of these individuals are veteran marketers and have a comprehensive repertoire of skills. So what about the newcomers to internet marketing? Is there an easy way to make money online? The answer to that would be no. However, there is a SIMPLE way to make money online, but do not confuse that with easiness. “Easiness” would suggest money is made without any effort, which is not the case. You will have to invest a fair amount of focus, discipline and hard work, but the formula to follow is fairly simple in execution, and the pay-off can be immediate.

There are a few popular ways to make fast money online, but I shall be concentrating on providing you with one workable method which you can put to use straight away. This is to use internet forums in conjunction with affiliate marketing. Let’s go through it step-by-step.

1. Go to Clickbank and register for an affiliate account (it’s free).

2. Browse the Clickbank products (anything BUT internet marketing products) and select a product which offers you a healthy commission of 50% or above.

3. Get your affiliate text link for that product by clicking on the “Earn X%” button.

4. Run a Google search for forums and message boards related to the topic of your affiliate product.

5. Open a new bookmark folder and name it “Niche forums”. Register for every forum you can and then bookmark the forums in your new folder.

6. Ensure that each one of your forum profiles is edited to include your affiliate link within the signature option.

7. Spend a few hours browsing the forums, making a list of commonly asked questions by users, and then find the answers to these questions through a bit of Google research.

8. Post in each forum a few times a day. Be helpful and informative and build your status. The more people trust you, the more likely they are to click on your affiliate link.

And that’s all there is to it! It doesn’t sound glamorous, but it works if implemented in good faith and with great industry. Imagine that you pick an affiliate product that will pay you a $20 commission on each purchase made through your affiliate link. If 10 people a week click on your link through your forum exposure, then you’re making an additional $800 a month.

The sky is the limit. The more forums you post to, and the more posts you make, the greater your exposure is. However, don’t use this as an excuse to spam forums. Respect the guidelines and, most importantly, give value to the users by providing the answers they seek. The more gravitas you establish, the more times your link will get clicked. It really is as simple as that - the easy way to make money online.

Techniques To Sell In Affiliate Marketing

This article is mainly for the newer affiliate marketer and will focus on some promotional techniques, free and otherwise, to sell affiliate products. In case you're completely new to this, affiliate marketing is selling someone else's products for which you get a commission on every sale you make. It is most often done in percentages than dollar amounts which can vary all the way up to 75% per sale. Some examples of companies than offer affiliate programs are Clickbank, Commission Junction, and Amazon. You can sign up to be an affiliate at any one of those sites to get started, but most I expect, already have an account at those or different affiliate sites.

The techniques to sell in affiliate marketing are very similar to running you own online business as a whole, with some noteworthy differences. The first major difference is the price difference of starting up compared to running a website yourself. It helps to have your own website to promote multiple products at once, but that can be even side stepped. An affiliate marketer has no inventory. You just sell. The business you're selling for has to handle that aspect. In turn, you have no shipping because the main company also handles that part. You just sell the product without worry of taking any orders as that as well is taken care of a step over your head. Overall, it's much cheaper and the headaches are less when you're just generating the lead for the sale and not dealing with all the paperwork and cost of running the entire operation. Get good enough and it's entirely possible to do it full time.

Now, onto what this article is aimed for.

One effective means of selling a product is creating a landing page for the product on your own site. At the end of it is your referral link, sending the prospective customer to the main site to seal the deal. The site itself should have proper SEO(Search Engine Optimization) on it so it can also be indexed in search engines. Taking care of this at the start will lower advertising costs because it will direct more organic hits to your site. This may be slow going depending on how often the search engine spiders come by and look at your page. This next way helps this out, as well as be a technique all it's own.

Join any Pay-Per-Click program and create ads for your affiliate landing page. Google and Yahoo are probably the most popular and well known though many others exist. This can be very expensive if you do not know how to make such programs work for you. By creating an ad directed to the needs of your buyers you can sell very profitably. The idea is to created targetted traffic. Volumes of books are available on how to beat the Pay Per Click systems to earn more than you spend so I'm only going to touch on it.The idea is simple though. If you pay 20 cents for a click, and manage a sale every 100 clicks, selling a product with a commission of $25, you've made $5. The more you test your ads the better your clicks will convert into sales. To do this without a site simply put your affiliate link in as the landing page. Some PPC companies don't allow this, so be sure to check their Terms of Service first. Success using Pay Per Click with your landing page depends on many factors from the effectiveness of the ad to the effectiveness of the landing page.

In another direction you can use Web Blogs to sell affiliate products. By posting reviews and articles related to what you're selling you'll help your blog get listed in search egines as well as help visitors decide to buy or not. Blogs are about as close to your own site you can get without buying a domain and because they're easy to update are used quite often in affiliate marketing. After posting something new to your blog you should ping it using a website like Ping-O-Matic.

If you're using a website or blog you want to have some combination of words for what you're selling in your domain name. To use the "bike riding" example from an earlier article you would want something like or This is for SEO to give your site more relevance and placement in search engines. It's recommended you put your site in a separate folder if your own domain isn't well set for your product:

The aim is to always bring targetted traffic to your affiliate site or ad. The more targetted it is the more likely they are to buy so the higher chance you have of getting a commission. It is possible to sell just about anything in affiliate marketing so find a product you like and know something about to start up with. I personally use and recommend Clickbank for affiliate sales and suggest signing up with more than one affiliate program to give you the most options on things to sell.

Do You Prefer To Earn $2425 Or $29100 With The Same Marketing Campaign That You Are Currently Doing Now?

All marketing campaigns use the same effect. But why is it that one can earn $2425 and another receives $29,100 using the same marketing costs? Don't ignore the full earning power of recurring affiliate program? This is the reason why

Affiliate marketing is a means of earning income either through recurring income or a commission. Affiliate marketing is a business relationship that exists between a merchant and its affiliates where as much traffic has to be created to the merchant's website. Once that traffic produces some action from visitors in the form of a purchase or creating a lead for the company, this affiliate is provided some compensation. This commission is either a percentage sales commission of the sales generated or in the form of a recurring income. This depends on the option of payment the affiliate chooses in the beginning of the merchant's affiliate program.

Most of the affiliate programs offer the affiliate a one-time commission for all leads or sales brought to the merchant's website. This commission can be anywhere from 5% to about 75%. There are some affiliate programs that offer fixed fees for each click through the affiliate sends to the merchant's site. This program offers a low commission, but it is not necessary for the visitor to buy anything for the affiliate to get a commission.

The residual income affiliate program is another affiliate program offering recurring income to the affiliate. Here the recurring income can range from about 5% to 50% of the sales earned for all sales generated by the affiliate. As we can see, this look attractive but for certain reason, not many people consider this option.

Sometimes the one-time high paying commission affiliate program may pay you more than the recurring income program. However, this payment is only a single payment paid when the sale is done. In the case of a residual income affiliate program, you are paid regular commissions for that single sale. So this basically means that for the same amount of effort, you are paid multiple times while earning recurring income in a residual program.

So supposing there are two online merchants offering a choice between both these affiliate programs. One merchant offers a one-time commission program paying $100 for each sale. The second merchant pays $20 for every sale. The affiliate usually jumps at the offer the first merchant offers as $100 is much more than $20. However, if you think deeply, you will find that it is the second merchant that offers a more stable income for you every single month.

Every marketing campaign that you do is the same, whether it is for a one-time commission payment or a monthly recurring commission. The marketing effects are all equal. The beautiful part about recurring commission is that it will turn into passive income once you have secured your customers and as long as your customer pay for your merchant services every month, you can continue to get paid for months or years.

So this shows that residual affiliate programs are indeed worth promoting as you get more money from this program in the long run. Though it cannot be vehemently said that a recurring income affiliate program is better for you, you should never ignore such programs.

6 Easy Ways to Cloak and Redirect Affiliate Links

You may have heard all the hype over affiliate links getting stolen and losing up to 40% of affiliate commission. All these attempts prey on people to instill in their minds that they may not be getting what they deserve. I know that commission stealing is a problem, and affiliate networks like Clickbank have taken steps to plug the leaks in their systems. I use cloaked affiliate links or redirect pages a lot not because I'm afraid of having commission deliberately stolen from right under my nose, but because I'm annoyed at the length and ugliness of affiliate URL's.

The whole idea of cloaking or redirecting has much to do with people's nature. To be more specific, it's all about psychology. It's interesting that people are hesitant to click affiliate links and tend to cut off the ugly looking part in an affiliate link before pasting it to the browser. Now
Let's compare the following two links: And Which one looks more clickable? The answer is pretty clear.

You can replace long URL's with cloaked links or short, server-side redirects so that people won't feel pitched and won't be turned off by links that are obviously affiliate links. There are several ways to create clean links that you can use to direct buyers to your sales pages. Read through the description below and see which one meets your needs and fall within your skill level.

1. Directory Redirect Connect to your web server and create a properly named directory. Then create an index.html and put a redirect code in it.

2. Sub-domain Redirect Most web hosting providers allow you to have several sub-domains.

Simply log on to the control panel, set up your sub-domain and then set up the redirection.

3. Redirect Script Several scripts are available out there that you can install on your web page to protect and redirect your links. You may need to put the code between the head section.

4. .htaccess This is only recommended for advanced users because it involves modifying the .htaccess file on your server. Here's how to do it. Create a properly named directory. Put a file called .htaccess by creating it using a text editor. This file should contain the Redirect command, the location of the directory you want redirected relative to the root of your site and the full URL of the location you want that request sent to.

You can find all the above mentioned codes for free. Do your research and then implement it to see how it works. I have put a link for downloading a free e-book containing these codes on my blog.

Besides creating redirect pages, you can cloak your affiliate links using commercial software programs or services. Listed below are popular ones on the market.

Software Programs: Affiliate Link Cloaker and LinkGuardII. These two programs take your long, ugly link and mask it with a redirect link.

Services: NameStick turns long, ugly affiliate or website links and turn them into a short, clean links (cloaked or not cloaked). It allows you to set up domain forwarding and unlimited sub-mains. NameStick forwarding domains and sub-domains are bookmarkable, and you can customize the title visitors see in their bookmark listings. I use NameStick service to create many neat and clean affiliate links to make my business look bigger.

If you're serious about your business, you need to take action right away. Redirect or cloak your links to make them more clickable. You may be surprised by how a little effort on your part can make a big difference to your online business.

A Basic Analysis of the Free to Join Program

So you've just found that perfect program and you're all fired up to join!

The greatest part (you say to yourself) is it's not going to cost me a penny!

You just know in two-weeks time your total investment of zero dollars is going to net you $1000, $2000, $5000 or more.

That's what the website said.

So great, so wonderful, so... insane.

I don't care what your level of education is, I can almost guarantee that as early as kindergarten you learned:

Anything x zero = ZERO

Here it is again:

Anything multiplied by 0 equals 0

- zip, zilch, nada.

You cannot possibly hope to make money in return for never putting any money up front.

Think about how many downlines you have filled to overflowing with free-to-join memberships. And every one of those free loaders (oh, I mean members) causes your own (and their own) downline to sit dead in the water. You've all missed the point.

The simple law of business says to make money you must also be willing to spend money.

If you could make money on the net without ever parting with a dime, don't you think - by now - we would all be millionaires?

Stands to reason, doesn't it?

So take a good look around you. How many people do you personally know - not some lame individual on a website you've never met (or are likely to meet) - but how many flesh and blood individuals do you know that actually have become wealthy online BY NOT SPENDING ANY MONEY?

Think you know someone? Think I'm wrong? Then ask that person... "Okay, so you're wealthy and it didn't 'cost you a dime' to get that wealth... what did you do to advertise? How did you find a perfectly free (no setup fees, etc.) affiliate program? Where do you get your domain names, web hosting, email accounts, internet connection... etc., etc., for absolutely free?"

[If you get a miracle answer... email me!]

Let's face it, we are all guilty. We've joined something for nothing and that's what we've made... a big fat nothing.

Repeat after me... "You cannot NOT spend money online and expect to make money."

It is not possible.

So... the next time you're tempted to "join something for nothing" (unless it's a free and okay-but-not-great way to advertise) ask yourself if YOU are ever really going to upgrade?

If you're not... step aside. Downlines are filled to overflowing with those that join for the sake of joining and do nothing. Sure the numbers look good. You've got 220 people under you in some program, and, in over a year, not a single one of them has - or ever will - upgrade.

ALL programs designed with a join-for-free business foundation can only exist (and stick around) if their members get the point of upgrading.

That gets the ball rolling.

Money makes money.

Empty wallets stay empty.

0 x 0 = 0

It's Basic Arithmetic.

How To Win The Affiliate Marketing War

You put on your helmet each morning and trudge out on to the affiliate battlefield, hopeful that this brand new day will bring you the rewards you seek.

What you need to know is, hope is not necessary to succeed with affiliate marketing.

There are a great many affiliate programs out there to choose from.

Unfortunately, most will lose you time and money.

Did you know that ninety six percent of affiliates make less than one hundred dollars a month?

A large percentage of the ninety six percent make no money at all or actually lose money.

The main reason is, most people are lazy in nature. They are usually drawn towards the shortest, easiest path.

This happens to be good news for you. Since, they are your competition, you only need better their efforts to achieve more.

Sadly, most also leave the affiliate battlefield prematurely.

In affiliate marketing, knowing the product or service you are promoting and testing, is the key. Testing advertisements, dropping the losers and running with the winners. is the most important single thing you can do to ensure you win the affiliate battles.

This applies whether it is your approach of potential buyers, and the places you find them, or paid advertisements.

Let me give you an example. You are promoting a product and have twenty keywords you use with Adwords. You have not been tracking the sales from each keyword, and simply let them all run. Without you knowing, seven of these keywords are very profitable, seven are mediocre, but still provide a small profit, and the other six are losers, with two in particular not making you any sales at all.

Little do you realise perhaps, that if you only cast aside these six keywords, your profits would double!

However, the affiliate program you are involved with has been so successful, you have not bothered to track and test the profits you are getting from each individual keyword.

Such is the power of testing and tracking, that you could turn a seemingly poor performing and ultimately costly affiliate program, into a winner. Yet, without the testing you would not have known this.

The big secret of winning the affiliate marketing war is doing more than your competition is prepared to do. Which actually is the secret to achieving more of anything in life. Going the extra mile further than other people are prepared to go.

If you are willing to do this, being successful is almost guaranteed.

The question now is, are you ready to win the affiliate marketing war?

How do I find the best affiliate programs?

To start off with, if you are going to run affiliate programs on a website, you should look for programs that are similar to your website content. Your visitors are at your website looking for something specific, so you should make sure that any program you are promoting is going to be of interest to your visitors.

Example: If you run a pet related website, you want to seek pet related affiliate programs to maximize your marketing efforts. Selecting programs that offer pet products or pet services that your visitors would be interested in. Adding affiliate programs such as long distance calling cards or credit cards will not perform as well as a pet training book or pet clothing would. Why? Because your site traffic is looking for pet info in particular, therefore you need to run affiliates that offer something those visitors would be interested in.

What do I look for when selecting an affiliate program?

The first and most important thing to look for is the products or services. There is no need to join a program that you will never run or a program that offers bad services. A great starting point is to look for affiliate networks. These are great especially if you plan on running more than one website. Affiliate networks typically offer several different programs a webmaster may join. Most let you see a directory of the merchants in the network before you join. Commission Junctions, Link Share, and Click Bank are 3 large affiliate networks that offer several merchants.

Second, you need to look at the commission rate to determine if it is even worth your time. In addition to the commission rate, pay close attention to the dollar amount that you’ll get per sale or action. For example, 20% commission on a $100 product is $20, while 50% commission on a $5 product is only $2.50. So, knowing what you will be given in exchange will make selecting much easier!

Does the company offer tracking?

Being able to check your stats are very important. Most legit affiliate programs will allow a webmaster to view stats at any given time. being able to view your stats will allow you to see what ad's are performing the best and what ad's are not performing. You will also be able to view your click thru's and sales with affiliate tracking.

Being able to track your stats will allow you to work the programs that are doing the best and help you decide what programs to stop running, so you can focus on the ones that are making the most!

Where do I place affiliate links on my website for the best results?

For the last 7 years of affiliate marketing I have found that placing ads above the fold of my websites perform very well and also in my content. Google AdSense is a great program to run in content, as google will deliver related ads. I always place Google ads to the left of any article or content and also 1-2 paragraphs down. This technique has worked very well for me.

These several questions will help you a great deal when searching for affiliates to deal with. Once you have mastered seeking the right affiliates you can begin working them into your website!
