How To Uncover Profitable Affiliate Programs By Looking For These 5 Simple Components!

by Hans Klein

It seems like everybody is throwing up affiliate programs. As soon as a new website opens-up shop, a new program immediately follows.

Sometimes this can be good news for affiliates because more opportunity is created. But, more often, it unwittingly leads affiliates to financial disaster!

You see, there’s a common misconception many affiliates hold. Succeeding in affiliate marketing has less to do with understanding marketing techniques than most people think.

Instead, it has a lot more to do with choosing the right affiliate programs to promote.

After all, you can be the best affiliate marketer in the world, but if you’re not promoting a solid program, then your success is severely limited!

Few affiliate marketers realize just how important a good program is. They often get sucked into a program with little demand, unfair pay, and little support.

And although the program looks great from the outset, only after you invest your valuable time in it, you find out it’s a dud.

This is why we’re going to cover 5 main components you should look for in every affiliate program you join to skyrocket your success rates:

1. Fair commission. If the program is only sharing a few percent of the sale, then you’re never going to generate good commissions. You’re going to earn a tiny fraction of what you could with a more generous program. The question you should ask yourself is, “Why earn a few cents or dollars, when I can easily be earning hundreds or thousands with a more generous program?”

2. Support. Many programs don’t have anybody to answer affiliate questions and if they do, then they often know little or nothing about affiliate marketing. For serious success, then you need a program where your questions can be answered fully. You don’t want to be left hanging when you’re trying to make a decision on how to best market the program.

3. High-converting websites. If you’re sending traffic to a “dead” product or a website that’s not designed to convert visitors into buyers, then you’re throwing your money and time away. You should look for proven products to promote that are currently selling well in the marketplace. People should already be looking for the solution the product has to offer.

4. Training. If you’re new to affiliate marketing, then any program that shows you the best way to promote their products is going to jump-start your success. You can buy courses on affiliate marketing, but they are limited to general techniques and not targeted for a specific market.

5. A wide range of products, including high-end products. If you’re currently only promoting a single product, then you’re earning a tiny fraction of what you could. This is because once somebody has bought from your affiliate link, then you don’t have anything else to sell him or her. If you have a high-end product, then you can generate far more commissions than if you can only offer a single product where you get a few bucks commission.

Simply put, you need to look for a program where serious attention and effort is being invested in the affiliate program. This is the only way you’re going to have your income really take off to new and exciting levels!

Instead, of earning a few bucks here and there, you generate large commissions on a more consistent basis. In other words, you’re building a long-term affiliate marketing business.

Believe In Yourself

Some days working on line can prove to be very challenging. In this article I will attempt to express what I think is the most important part of network marketing. That one issue is believing in you.

Todays on line market can really be a tough place to make a living. However it can still be the best way to make a living. You are going to have a lot of bad days before the good ones come. Working on line isn’t a whole lot different than setting up a business in the real world. You will have to put up some money, time and effort before seeing any returns on your investment. You’re going to have lots of what I call “quitting days”. You will check your account a hundred times a day and get discouraged when you continuously see nothing there.

This will discourage you very quickly, but it’s very important to keep working hard and keep believing in yourself. I can guarantee that if you work hard and believe in yourself you will make money on line. You will have many people trying to discourage you from doing this kind of work but you have to forget about those people and keep moving forward. These people will laugh at you and tell you that you are wasting your time but another thing I will promise is that eventually they will be asking you how they can get into what you are doing because all of a sudden they will see the kind of money you are making.

Working hard and believing in yourself will reap huge rewards. One day you will go to check emails and you will see some kind of note telling you that a payment has been processed. There is no better feeling than opening up that email and seeing the money in your account. Oh sure you have probably spent more than that so far but this is the first step in the beginning of your life. It is also a reward for working so hard and believing in yourself.

There are so many advantages to working at home on the internet. You get to set your own hours thus getting to spend more quality time with your family. You have the potential to make endless amounts of money. There will be no more worrying about getting your bills paid. There are so many more reasons but keep watching for more articles from me in the future.

Affiliate Programs - How Do You Know If Their Good?

by Michael Fleischner

How can you tell if an affiliate program is legitimate and if it will generate revenues for you? There are some basic concepts to follow when considering an affiliate program you wish to join or an affiliate product you wish to promote.

1. Stick with the larger affiliate programs. These programs have been around for a while and are used by millions of websites. Some of the top affiliate program sites are: Commission Junction, Paydotcom, and Clickbank. Be sure to visit their websites and learn about their process. Each affiliate aggregator manages their programs differently and you should read their policies thoroughly.

2. Start small. Select one or two affiliate products that you'd like to promote. You can't see success if you're trying to promote dozens of products without a clear marketing strategy. The best advice I can give is to choose products that are closely aligned with your web site content and your passion.

3. Go for a test drive. The best way to learn to market or promote a product is to use it yourself. If you're going to promote a product, use it yourself or contact the product owner and ask for a demo/free access. It never hurts to ask.

4. Look for Affiliate Resources. Will the product owner provide you with online assets you can use to promote the product? Online assets would include banners, buttons, emails, affiliate articles and so on - making it easier for you to generate sales.

5. Promote products from well established Affiliates. Do a little research on the products, sites, and site owners you are looking to promote. This will help alleviate any fears you may have and optimize your chances for success.

Personally, I've had great success promoting just a few products that are closely aligned to my website by sticking with just a few products from well established Internet marketing providers. The products I like to promote are:

1. SEO Elite

2. Article Submitter Pro, and

3. Directory Submitter

There are a number of other affiliate products I could market, but these are most closely aligned to my website, my content, and my passion.

In closing, be sure to do your homework. Visit the websites of the products/companies you're considering promoting, purchase the products and test them out, and finally, seek the recommendations of others. This will save you time in the long run, and more importantly, help you identify the affiliate programs that will generate the greatest revenue for you.

Too Much Information And Too Little Actions - Beginners in Affiliate Marketing

To start your journey in uncharted territory is always one of the hardest things in life. I really felt this when I decided to try out my luck in affiliate marketing. Completely clueless and didn’t know where to start, I jumped from one training product to another, hopeful that I will finally get a hold on a material that will set my path straight and start pulling in that money that I desperately need . But as you might have realised by now, no such product really exists.

For some reasons, those training products are either too advanced for beginners, and yet those products who claim that they are for beginners are not detailed enough. The worse thing was yet to come though; the staggering amount of information that I have gathered did not do me any good. In fact, it paralysed me to the point that I was unable to think clearly and made up my mind on what course of actions I needed to take.

Fortunately, after months of struggle I managed to clear things up and set myself in the right direction. It had been a hard time though I can tell you that. The funny thing is, now that I have much clear understanding of affiliate marketing, I can see that to start your career in affiliate marketing actually requires very simple and straightforward steps.

I am going to outline the steps here to help those of you who have just begun in affiliate marketing.

1. Open an account in ClickBank. If you don’t know what ClickBank is, it is basically one of the largest retailers of digital products on the Internet. It serves as in intermediary between you (affiliate) and the product owner (seller). After signing up to ClickBank, you can search for a product that you want to promote as an affiliate. The signing up process is very straightforward and your account is created instantly without having to wait for approval. There are other retailers out there similar to ClickBank, however for beginners ClickBank is the best choice since as I have mentioned earlier signing up process is very simple and also the amount of products available to choose from is staggering.

2. Choose a niche market. As a rule of thumb, you always want to choose a market with a fair number of competitions. You might have found that some people actually advocate finding a small niche with only few competitors. You don’t want to do this. Small niche means small demands, and small demands means small profits and limited growth potential. You don’t want to a niche that you know you won’t be able to expand your business to its fullest potential.

3. Choose a product to promote. As a beginner, always choose a product that has proven itself to sell well. ClickBank actually makes it easy for you to do it. If you go to ClickBank marketplace, by default the products are sorted on their popularity. It means that the most popular products would be on the top.

4. Create a squeeze page to capture the details of your visitors. The purpose of this is to build a subscriber list. You have to give your visitors some incentives to sign up to your newsletter by giving away free stuff such as free reports. Make sure though that your free report is of considerable value (don’t think that because it’s free you can just put together some articles that you grabbed from here and there). You must aim to build your credibility and trust.

5. Bring some traffic to squeeze page. This is undeniably the hardest task of all. You can do pay-per-click (PPC) which is the fastest way yet the most costly, SEO (search engine optimisation) which takes much longer, or Joint Venture (JV).

6. Sending out newsletters to your subscriber list. Always load pure content to the first and second newsletter. You want to build trust and earn your subscriber’s respect first. Never start selling too early and you will ruin your chance to sell later.

If you are a beginner in affiliate marketing and you are determined and persistent but you don’t know where to start, it would be best to join a group of affiliate marketers so you can learn from each other.

Successful Affiliate Marketing - Or Why You Shouldn't Buy Another e-book

Stop! Don't do it! Don't buy that affiliate marketing e-book.

Why not?

Because you will become more successful at affiliate marketing without it. And I am going to explain how.

Whenever you purchase an e-book, you get that feeling. Don't you? Admit it... You get that "this is going to solve all my money problems" feeling, right? This is bad news, and here's why.

The more you believe you can rely on a single product to turn you into a successful affiliate, the further away from your goal you get. Look at it this way-- If I said that you could buy a million dollar business for ninety-nine bucks you would instantly stop trying to achieve it for yourself, wouldn't you?

If you haven't figured out by now that you can't buy success, real success, then consider yourself informed.

Now, onto bigger and better things.

Rather than drooling over the "next big thing" e-book that launches, consider using my six point plan for affiliate success. The method is called PIC MEE.

Plan-Innovate-Copy Monitor-Eliminate-Extend

Contrary to what the gurus would have you believe, no business works without planning.

Before you start your business, before you start running Adwords campaigns, before you do anything-- make a plan. Make a plan about what you will promote, how you will promote it and what your stop-loss factor will be.

Fail to plan, plan to fail-- you know the drill.

You have read enough e-books, emails and forums. Now you need to take what you know and expand.

Don't follow the crowd and you have a much higher chance of success. Think about this-- if 100,000 people across the globe are doing the same thing with their campaigns, there are bound to be more losers than winners.

Hang around in forums, ask questions and pay special attention to what the successful guys are doing.

Start to make a plan of what seems to be working for others and then add your own twist.

Monitoring is an extremely important step. Unless you can monitor your business and your campaigns effectively you will go nowhere fast.

Start to keep track of things as you do them and monitor them regularly. Be prepared to dump a campaign at a moment's notice. A successful business person must be ruthless to survive.

So, you've been ruthless and eliminated anything that has even the slightest hint of failing, now what? Which campaigns are profitable? Even slightly? Start to extend these-- but do it slowly. Resist the temptation to extend every campaign immediately, or the bells of failure will toll for thee!

In case you haven't realized, Monitor-Eliminate-Extend is the rinse and repeat portion of the PIC MEE method. If you can do this effectively over multiple campaigns then you are bound to win the game.

Successful affiliate marketing is something that everyone can grasp, but the answer does not lie in any single e-book-- the answer lies with you.

Use the PIC MEE method and watch the upward trend in your results.

David started becoming successful when he stopped listening to the "gurus".

Achieve Your Full Affiliate Marketing Potential

A lot of buzz has been around affiliate programs in those past few years. The truth is that the internet has given practically endless possibilities for a lot of entrepreneurs who started an online business. Affiliate marketing is a powerful internet marketing strategy that pays off in the hands of those who know how to benefit from it.

You have to look at affiliate programs from two different perspectives. The first one involves you as a merchant, who wants to increase the online sales. In this case, you would start an affiliate program which would financially reward people who bring you customers.

The second point of view involves, you guessed it, you as an internet marketer who wants to profit from the affiliate rush. It usually works best when you build a website and you refer your visitors to your partners' websites. If a visitor that you targeted toward your affiliate partners buys something from them, you get a commission.

Now it doesn't sound like much at the beginning, but when you realize the potential of the internet market you soon discover the possibilities. I won't sound like a broken record and say there are endless possibilities, you just have to double click and you're on your way. No, starting a successful affiliate marketing business is a task that requires a lot of work and determination, either you are a merchant, a webmaster without a product, or both.

As any business, it requires an initial investment. Even though you don't want to hire programmers (for instance) from the beginning and you decide to design the website yourself, you would still have to pay domain registration and hosting. And believe me when I tell you that a free domain is not an option here.

You will also need to spend money on internet marketing tools. If you don't, you will have to do research yourself, which will be not only time consuming but also difficult. That's because there are a lot of scams out there and it's sometimes hard to distinguish fact from fiction.

Also, you have to constantly do research work. Which niches are most sought for? Which ones are most profitable? What things are you an expert in? All these questions need feasible answers, as you need a combination of all three elements. You need to be an expert in the field you wish to promote. If you find a very good looking niche you know nothing about, learn! Become an expert. Even try to love it along the way.

Finally, a lot of work and patience is bound to pay off. Don't try to get fooled by other over night get rich schemes, and don't stray from the path you've chosen. You could end up like many internet marketers who got lost in the abundance of schemes, scams, and lost their confidence in the internet's power. The truth is, that power is there! You just need to harness it, put it into action, and your affiliate programs will surely pay off.

10 Sizzling Tips For Affiliates

1. Create an infopacked mini site. Build your mini site for a specific niche audience and then choose affiliate programs specifically for that niche audience.

2. Test and track your ads and promotions for your affiliate programs.

Tracking and testing your ads will show you exactly which ads, promotions and affiliate programs pay off the most for you and are excellent choices for you to continue to promote.

3. Publish an ezine.

Your ezine will give you a powerful way to promote your affiliate programs to your subscribers.

Choose affiliate programs that relate to the content of your ezine and that make it worth your while to promote them.

4. Promote your affiliate programs by recommending their products.

You could recommend your affiliate programs to your ezine subscribers in your publisher's note or you could create a recommended resources section where you promote your affiliate programs in every issue.

You could also recommend your affiliate programs to your visitors by creating a recommended affiliate programs section where you list your favorite affiliate programs along with descriptions of their products or services.

In addition, you could create a best affiliate programs section that helps you build up your second tier by listing the affiliate programs that have paid off the most for you.

5. Write product reviews where you detail the benefits you like about your affiliate program's product.

Make your product reviews honest and hype f~ree and post them on your site along with your other articles.

6. Write your own ads for your affiliate program.

A good way to create your ads is to look at the ad copy on the site of the business you want to promote and also ads they provide for their affiliates to use, and use their unique selling proposition or USP to write your ads.

Their unique selling proposition is a unique benefit that they promote in their ad copy that their competitors don't stress or offer to their visitors.

It could be that their product saves lots of time, is easy to understand, that their product is a complete answer to a problem, or it could involve their price.

Some businesses develop more than one USP so you'll be able to choose the one that you think works best in getting more targeted visitors to their site.

7. Try out the support of the companies you want to promote by asking questions.

This will help you to find out how long it takes them to respond to emails (if they respond to emails) and how professional they are.

8. Create freebies that promote your affiliate programs.

You could offer your visitors a f~ree email course, an ebook filled with your tips or articles or an ebook that provides your visitors with places to promote their businesses.

When creating freebies for an affiliate program that is 2 tier, increase your profits by letting your affiliates in your second tier use your freebies as a promotional item.

9. Create a directory.

Your directory could be an article, ezine, ebook or affiliate program directory.

List your own resources within your directory to increase your commissions. For example, you could add your own affiliate programs to your affiliate programs directory or your ebooks to your ebook directory.

Add a what's new section to your directory to garner more repeat traffic from your visitors.

You could also provide a tutorial on the subject of your directory, or add things to your directory that your visitors can use on a regular basis to get more repeat traffic.

10. Run ezine ads for your affiliate programs.

You could purchase sponsor, feature, classified or solo ads for your affiliate program.

Choose ezines with subscribers targeted to be interested in the products of the business you want to promote.

Run your ads for multiple issues in a row when possible to maximize the profit you get from your ads.

You can also run f~ree ads in ezines as many ezines offer
f~ree advertising on a weekly, monthly or per issue basis to
get more new subscriptions.

Running f~ree ads can help you find out which ads work best,
and which ezines are most responsive before you purchase
ezine advertising.

Fast Easy Affilate Marketing Money

There is no doubt, the fastest and easiest way of making money online is via affiliate marketing. An affiliate can make anywhere from 5% up to 80% (of the product cost) per successful sale. Affiliate marketing could be defined as an internet-based pay-for-performance system in which an "affiliate" partner web site is compensated for driving qualified leads or sales to a "merchant" web site.

How Affiliate Marketing Works?

Firstly you need to set up a clickbank account (the one-stop shop for any affiliate) at Next you need to browse the marketplace for a product that you wish to promote, and ideally have some knowledge or experience with. Once you have selected your desired product/s you are given a ‘hop link’ which is essentially a unique link which will connect your customers to the merchant's sales page, and therein credit your clickbank account with the appropriate commission. Finally you set up a product review page on your website promoting and reviewing the products.

Why Use Affiliate Marketing? Two words: Fast, Easy.

If you select the products that sell well (there are various statistics provided for you on clickbank) you are half way there. All you are providing via your website is a ‘portal’ to direct customers to a very well designed sales page. You do not need to put in loads of work- sure its going to help if your website looks professional and you provide honest and enticing information on the products, but product selection is far more important. Well established products will also provide you with an array of tools: images, catch phrases, testimonials etc which you can simply paste into your site.

Mistakes to avoid in Affiliate Marketing!

1) Choosing the wrong affiliate

Having said it is important to take in the statistical data provided by clickbank, one should not solely base their decision of choosing an affiliate on its popularity and percentage commission. If you do not have an interest in the product there is no point. If you exude a certain amount of enthusiasm and belief in your product, this will be brought out on your site and more likely attract buying customers.

2) Not purchasing the affiliate product

I can hear many of you groaning now at the sight of this, but honestly how are you going to be able to promote what you are selling without knowing what it can do. This is the most common pitfall, and customers will be more likely to buy if you can provide an honest, personal testimonial.

3) Rushing in and promoting too many products

When one starts in affiliate marketing, there is definitely a sense of urgency to promote as many products as possible simultaneously. This is not the best approach however. It has been proven statistically that if you concentrate on just a few products to start with, learn which product sells best and focus your attentions on that, you will be more likely to build up momentum with your earnings. There is no rush- you need to develop the correct techniques before applying them across the board.

Improving Your Affiliate Marketing Business by Leaps and Bounds

It is an open secret now that money grows on trees @ Affiliate Marketing. However, there are many precautions and skills to be exercised while cultivating this tree lest it does not blossom. There are various shades and forms to this business of affiliate marketing whose idea and knowledge is a must for affiliates waiting in the wings. Scroll through this page and allow us to take you under our wings before you embark upon it.

Affiliate Marketing is a thriving business in cyberspace today! Essentially a partnership between the merchant and one or more affiliates through an affiliate network platform, it is a revenue sharing relationship in which an affiliate gains for providing sales or leads for the merchant - which an affiliate network such as ePurple Media comprehensively tracks.

It is a boon for both the affiliates and the merchants where the former get to capitalize on their idle web space while the merchants pay only if they get a customer. This is ultimate Optimization of resources without risking life and limb.

Both the affiliates and merchants should keep in mind that it is important to join a very professional Affiliate Marketing Program. The affiliates, in particular, have many considerations both before joining one and also when at it. The following paragraphs will focus on how the affiliates can play their cards right.

A good affiliate may consider putting several merchants in one niche to discover the moods, tastes and preferences of the traffic. This helps in knowing your customer well and above all lets you know the benefits of various merchants for your business.

You may consider joining message boards and chat rooms related to the products you are selling. Do not jump to sell it. Begin the conversation, strike a rapport with your potential customer and strike only when the iron is suitably hot.

E-books are also a viable way to gain more business. You may submit an e-book with advertisements and links to your affiliate site to an e-book directory. Do ensure that it is well-written for there is no dearth of run-of-the-mill content. You may even consider making your own Affiliate Program directory and participate in more than one Affiliate Program.

You will score brownie points if you do not use the same ad being used by all affiliates. You may devote some time and resources in creating your own attractive ads. Novelty pays more than banality; more so in online marketing full of Tom, Dick and Harry. Alternatively, look for an Affiliate Programs which will tailor-make ads for affiliates rather than providing a template/same ad.

Web rings are useful Search Engine Optimisation technique and you may consider joining a relevant one. Use ezines or newsletters. Also, subscribe to newsletters by various Affiliate Marketing Network such as the epurplemedia.

Always remember, being creative and innovative in Online Marketing pays dividends.

The Not So Stealthy Thief

There are few things in this world more terrifying than facing an inexplicable loss of profit. Rectal surgery is one of these things. However, that is not the intended point of discussion for this article. But loss of profit is.

If you’re familiar with the world of affiliate marketing, then you’ll of course know the basis for the industry, and it is you that this article is indeed geared towards. For completeness and to dispel any confusion for the casual reader let me briefly explain the concept of affiliate marketing.

An affiliate network is group of companies, groups, and occasionally individuals who desire greater exposure. An affiliate networking site will post the ads that these companies (groups, individuals, etc) want posted for advertisers to view. These advertisers (known as affiliate marketers) in turn post these advertisements where the public is likely to see and click on them. When a consumer clicks on an affiliate marketer’s link, they are directed to the website advertised and the advertising website is sent the information that they received this traffic from a particular affiliate marketer. The marketer then receives a commission of that consumer’s purchases.

Obviously, most everyone reading this will find that paragraph extremely rudimentary, but I felt it crucial. Now, what many, or even most of you may be unfamiliar with are the concepts of affiliate link hijacking and affiliate link bypassing. Some definitions are in order.

Assume you are an affiliate marketer. Affiliate link hijacking is when another marketer finds a link of yours to a product or service, and replaces your affiliate ID with his own, thus stealing your commission with his own.

Okay, say you advertise for a website that sells shoes. When you advertise it, the actual link that consumers click looks something like, which passes YourID as the referring affiliate. An affiliate link hijacker copies your link and changes it to, which passes HisID as the referring affiliate, thus stealing your commission and putting it in his own pocket as a discount. This is a dirty, rotten, mean trick.

Affiliate link bypassing is just as bad for you, but doesn’t make a lot of sense. This is when a consumer sees your ad, and copies the link, and pastes it back into his address bar, and sees that there is that “?YourID” at the end of it. Either because he is concerned for security reasons, is afraid of CGI scripts, or is just a really mean person who doesn’t want you to get a commission, he deletes your ID, and just types in, robbing you of your commission and putting back into Shoe Junk and Whatnot’s pocket. This isn’t usually malicious, but it is still detrimental to you, and most of the time, it’s born out of unnecessary paranoia.

So, basically, this is an obnoxious set of problems that is probably jacking you of a significant amount in commissions, whether you’re aware of it or not. It’s usually between 5% and 30% of your total commission that is lost to affiliate link hijacking and bypassing.

Okay, so now you’re ticked off and you want your money back. Yeah, so did me when I found out about this whole racket. I did some research and now you guys get to reap the benefits of my labor.

As it turns out, there are several software options that secure your ad links against both greedy hijackers and paranoid bypassers. They do this by cloaking and encrypting your link, so it no longer looks like, but rather like And that’s pretty handy, because you can neither extrapolate from that the original link, nor substitute another ID, as you can’t SEE the ID.

Well, the software works, and well, but… How does buying expensive software rectify my losing money problem? Okay, screw that game. I’ll admit it, I’m cheap, and I like free alternatives.

And there are, indeed, very simple and easy to use alternatives that cost a whole lot of nothing. (Though, there are many more that pretend to be free and add a percentage fee or some nonsense. One of these really got me angry.) They are web-based, and do the same thing as the software, except without installing unnecessary software or paying money.

You simply type in your affiliate link,, and get back, or, depending on the way the site works.

If you’re a tech nerd, you’re probably wondering about how these work, I was. If you’re not, you can skip down to the bottom of the article now, for a link to the best of these free services that I’ve found.

Now, all these things do is create a small, small webpage with a random address that redirects to your affiliate link automatically. It just hides your link inside another page, so people can’t figure out how to change it for their benefit, or your loss. It’s a simple, effective, and clever solution that costs very little to implement, and therefore can be easily presented free of charge.

Now, I assume most of you are bored with this and want to know where to find one of these link-maker-thingies. Well, I’ve gone through pretty much all of them, and the absolute best I have found, or at least the one that I MUCH prefer, is Part of the reason I like it so much is because it’s so easy to remember. Besides that, however, this site gets right to the point and makes it simple to change all your links quickly and effectively. So, you see no hassles!

Okay, that’s pretty much all I have to say. I just felt that it was important to inform those of you that didn’t know of the threat of link bypassing and hijacking, and tell you about the solution. Cheers!

More Affiliate Income With 6 Simple Steps

Have you tried your hand at affiliate marketing, only to be disappointed by the income for your efforts? If so, you may be overlooking simple facts that seem to go unnoticed by many would-be affiliate tycoons.

In helping many affiliates and internet marketers over the years analyze their success, here are some of the common failure reasons we have spotted:

1) Selling ONLY Low Ticket Items

2) Not Separating Themselves From The Crowd of Affiliates Offering the Same or Similar Products

3) No Follow-Up Offers or Recurring Income

4) Not Capturing Leads & Building a List

5) No Personality In Marketing

6) Using ONLY Fr-ee Ad Sources

Let's briefly look at these one by one. First off, Selling ONLY Low ticket items. This one is on the top of the list for a good reason. It is MOST important. You have to realize that normally it will take you just as much time, energy, and effort to promote a low cost product (say a $97 ebook or software product) as it will a higher ticket item (in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars). What that means is that by adding at least one higher priced product, you could earn MUCH more income with about the same amount of time and money invested in your marketing.

You might use a lower ticket item to build your list, and then follow up with the higher priced product. OR, you might lead with the higher priced product. Either way, you NEED to earn more income, and this is the one simple strategy that could make that happen.

To see how powerful this is, let's take an affiliate marketer who is selling a product they earn $59.95 on. Let's say they are doing well with their marketing, building a list and averaging about 3 sales per week. That comes to about $179.85 per week or just over $9352 per year. Now this same affiliate reads this article and finds a product he likes that pays $1250 per sale. At the higher price let's say his sales drop to just 1 a week. That is still over $60,000 a year! His marketing costs are still about the same, his list is still growing, but he can now turn his hobby into a business he could live on.

Now the second strategy, not separating himself (he may have also done that by incorporating the first step). One simple way to do this is to buy a domain name, and point your traffic to it. If the company provides it's affiliates with a lead capture or landing page, this may be all you would have to do. Just redirect your domain name to your affiliate site. It is an inexpensive way to make the product look like your own, or at least look better to your prospects. Instead of the looooooooooong affiliate URL, you can now just use

If the company whose product you are promoting does not offer a website, you may need to set one up. You definitely will if you are going to put to use strategies 2 through 5. You will need a follow-up autoreponder to capture leads and build a list. Then you can follow up with additional products and services to your list. These can be other affiliate products you like, or products that you own (or own resale rights to).

Also, put some personality into your marketing. To do this tell folks about yourself. Your story. Do this in your follow up, and/or in your newsletter. Once people know something about you, they will feel more comfortable doing business with you. If it is an affiliate product you are offering, give them a reason to do biz with you instead of other affiliates offering the same product. This might be a report, or a video of how to use the product, or just some tips you can offer them on how to use the product more successfully.

Basically you need to answer the question - Why Should I Do Business With You? Give this some thought and come up with a legitimate answer. The first step to doing this is to offer ONLY products that you personally use yourself. Then you will have some real ideas and answers.

Strategy number 6. This is a simple one, but many affiliates have not learned it yet. While some no cost advertising methods do work, you are going to have to either use time or money to let the world know you exist. Most of us don't bother reading the online fr-#ee Ads. So that should tell you what results to expect by advertising in them (slim to none).

Pay Per Clicks like Google Adwords are what the top affiliate marketers all use (in connection with other marketing strategies like writing and submitting articles). With a higher ticket item, you can afford to spend a little on your ads, which is another great reason to look for the right product.

One final tip, what if the company whose higher ticket product you want to offer does not offer an affiliate plan? ASK? If you can market, most of them will work with you. However, don't forget the benefits of using the product yourself. Nearly anything you can think of has someone doing it online, and you can earn some NICE profits by keeping these simple strategies in mind!

Affiliate Business or Affiliate Marketing?

For some beginners in internet marketing, it appears a little problem about two terms, affiliate business and affiliate marketing. In my opinion, notwithstanding both of them are the same, I prefer affiliate business than affiliate marketing. Affiliate business has larger sense then affiliate marketing.

Affiliate business is the best option among other internet marketing models for newbie. Even Ewen Chia ever told that affiliate marketing is still the number one way for aspiring internet entrepreneurs to get started. Because there is no inventory expense, no hassles with payment processors, and no extra time spent on processing refunds or returns. In other words, it could bring in a massive amount of cash to your bottom line with very little effort.

There are some profitable Affiliate Business models; Pay per Sale (PPS) and Pay per Lead (PPL). The imperative thing to understand about affiliate business is that it is a “pay per action” model. The meaning of “action”, however, is defined in a couple of different manner. An action can be the sale of a product or the generation of a new lead.

In other words, affiliates get on compensated based on referring either customers or potential customers. The action that visitors take is either to buy something or to fill out a form providing their contact information.

Which type of affiliate business is easiest? The reality is they are about equal, but pay per lead has more significant entity over pay per sale. It is much easier to bring prospects to fill out information—especially if the merchant is offering them some sort of bonus in exchange for the information—then offer them to buy something.

PPS is what most people think of when they think of affiliate business. The affiliate is tasked with sending traffic to the merchant in order to help him/her acquire new customer. Whenever one of the visitors you refer buys a product from that merchant, you are credited with the sale and you receive a commission.

Meanwhile, under PPL model you generate commissions by generating leads. Rather than referring people directly to a product, you refer them to fill out information.

How about Pay per Click (PPC)? Do you also consider this as an affiliate model? I say, yes. And this is why I prefer term affiliate business then affiliate marketing. Because affiliate doesn’t mean as referring people to purchasing only, but also bring people to visit other website. Google AdSense, for example, through presenting Google AdSense in your website and you earn money whenever your visitors click on them.

Whatever you are thinking now, it is exact time to start building your own online business.

The Affiliates Guide To Working With Merchants

In any affiliate sales program, communication is key to making a success of your project. Not only that, but keeping in touch with chosen merchants ensures that they can see you want to make money just as much as they do, and allows you both to advise each other on the best ways to market your product, increase sales, etc.

Although this may seem fairly obvious, since a merchant is going to be one of the best people to ask about what they're selling or promoting, you'd be surprised how many people ignore this one simple thing. Therefore, make sure you're the kind of affiliate who covers the basics, and success will surely follow.

When you take into account that figures show that it's only 5% of all affiliates who are responsible for almost 90% of all sales, then you'll realize how important it is to make sure you're one of those 5%. This is doubly important, as merchants will always look after those that are making money than those who don't take the product's success as seriously. In fact, you will often find that some of the merchant's best tools for further success will be made available to you once you're in their top sellers.

How to best deal with merchants
Like any businessman or woman, merchants will get extremely busy, especially the more successful a product gets. Therefore, if you email your merchant and you don't get an immediate response, there's no initial reason to worry. However, success should not be at the expense of communication with their affiliates.

Therefore, if you email your again and you still have no return contact, you may wish to consider whether you should continue working with them, as lack of contact can often lead to other problems, such as lack of resources, back-up, and even worse, lack of payments.

Also, with the amount of affiliate programs that are available, it's very unlikely that you will make hundreds of thousands in fees, unless you have something that's truly unique. Therefore, don't fall into the trap of working with merchants who promise the world – this is usually the sign of someone out to make a fast buck at your expense.

Communication with merchants
Merchants are just normal people like you and I, and are continuously looking to improve ways of making money. So, if you see something that isn't working, let them know – they'll be grateful, and appreciate your interest at making the product a success.

The key part of any good relationship, whether in your personal life or professional one, is respect. No matter whether you agree or disagree with something or someone, always keep a respectful tone when discussing it. Your merchant will treat you the way you treat them, and vice versa, so ask yourself how you like to be spoken to, and keep that in mind when raising queries.

At the end of the day, a merchant can often only be as good as the affiliates around him or her, so make yourself the best you can possibly be, and you'll soon see the merchant's mutual respect turn into more substantial and tangible rewards.

Affiliate programs is by far one of the easiest ways to make money online. It is a revenue sharing business relationship between the affiliate who agrees to promote the products or services, and the merchant who offers them. The affiliate marketer get paid through sale commission where it could be in term of percentage sale or exact number which has been predetermined earlier.

If you are newbie to internet business and would like to make money with affiliate programs and have some success in it then you need to concentrate on 4 key ingredients.

1.Good Market.
You need to do some research and find out what did most people buy online. This can be done by using keywords research tools. This tool can give you the estimate of monthly or daily search through the search engine such as Google, Yahoo or MSN.

Find out too from among the popular keywords which one related to products people buys in a hurry or can make quick evaluation of product and then buy. When you have found one do research on that company or website whether they have credentials and can be reliable or in other word legit. You can use Alexa ranking or any ranking tools to help you in your evaluation.

When you have found 4 or 5 merchants then select the most popular among them. Don't worry too much about the commission cause as newbies you need to use your merchant popularity as your selling strategies.

3.Good Marketing Strategy.
As newbies one good marketing strategy you can use is pay-per-click(PPC) advertising. It gives you the quickest chances of getting targeted customers and most probably buyers. PPC advertising is bidding on keywords for posting ads on search engines result pages. Keywords are phrased that are searched through search engines by surfer. Normally the minimum bid is 5 cents. And only once click by surfer you are billed the bidding amount.

All bid are ranked. Some popular keywords has higher bid which could reach USD50 or more. The higher the bid the higher the ranking. The higher the ranking the more chance your products of getting exposure to any potential buyers. And that means more chance of you getting sale commission. But the chance of you getting sale commission is determined by the conversion rates. Therefore you need some skill to do good job in having high conversion rates and to make money with affiliate programs a profitable one.

4.Good PPC Advertising Lessons.
The most popular PPC advertising is Google Adwords. So do some research and find out where you can get excellent courses on Google Adwords. And again use ranking tools when evaluate any available courses. You need to understand by now that in internet business world higher popularity means better quality. Don't spend too much on courses cause you need capital in PPC advertising.

Make money with affiliate programs using pay-per-click advertising is indeed a very profitable one when all ingredients are in placed. And when the ingredients are already put in front of you then only required knowledge, will and desire will determine where your journey will end. Therefore put plenty of will in your heart and remember what Arnold H. Glasgow said, “Success is simple. Do what’s right, the right way, at the right time.”

Reasons To Become An Affiliate Marketer

Are you still not quite sure if you should become an affiliate marketer? Let me give you a few reasons about why you should become one and maybe even give you a few tips about how to choose your affiliate program.

Becoming an affiliate marketer give you the possibility to make money from the comfort of your own home. Not everyone likes the long trips to the workplace and back. You can make your own schedule, thus you can work as an affiliate marketer when you want, and no matter what time it is. In fact you can work from anywhere you are as long as you have access to the Internet, which makes this the most flexible job on the market. Not only is it flexible, but it is a creative job too. And you can use this creativity when you start to make your website and start working as an affiliate marketer.

One of the best things about becoming an affiliate marketer is that you don’t need any sales experience. What you need is the willingness to learn the basics of the job, learn how it works and find the best ways of conducting your business. The best way is the way that brings you the most earnings. Don’t let anyone tell you that they have the best way. You have to find the way of building a business that fits you the most. Which also means that you are your own boss, so you take all the decisions concerning your business and the way you want to conduct this business. Furthermore you only join the business you want. So if you do not feel like getting involved in a certain business you do not have to because you are the boss.

The best part about being an affiliate marketer, however, is that you do not even have to develop, create or sell your own products or services. This is because you have the unique opportunity to promote and to sell those products that you either recommend or use yourself, while earning money. But which affiliate programs offer you the greatest opportunity?

The best program you can join is the two-tier affiliate program. Why is it the best program? Simple. In a two-tier affiliate program you are making money twice: once when you make money from your own work and then when you make money from the affiliates you work with in the program. This usually works the following way: as an affiliate marketer, you find new members for the program and receive a percentage of their earnings.

Getting members to join the same program you did is another win-win situation because apart for the income you get from them, you also have the chance to meet new people and decide how close you want to let them get to you. Do not fall for the “tip” that the more sub-affiliates you have the more money you will make. This is not always true. It is better to have a few sub-affiliates that you can work with and trust and get a smaller but more regular income, than having too many sub-affiliates than don’t do their job. The sum of money you can earn is in proportion with the effort you put in the business.

Still not convinced? Then let me finally tell you that even excellent affiliate programs are either free to join or very inexpensive. Where else can you be given the possibility of almost unlimited income streams with minimal start up costs while enjoying all of this from the comfort and privacy of your own home? If you find it, then please, let me know.

Personal Experiences Of Learning Affiliate Marketing

Greetings: This is the second in a series of articles I plan on writing describing my personal experiences in an attempt at becoming proficient in the affiliate marketing arena.

Just a brief up date, I had no experience with affiliate marketing and had no idea where to start, I came across Wealthy Affiliate University and decided I would give them a try. In summarizing my experience with them I am pleased with the help the owners have provided as well as many successful marketers who provide guidance in the forum’s.

Every individual has a different learning style, I definitely have my own and because of that I may have taken a different path than recommended but to this point it is one that am comfortable with. I decided that I would like to learn how to set up adword accounts with Google, Yahoo and MSN adcenter. The actual process of opening each account is easy enough, each one has it’s own system, and managing ads from each one is different. I found that telephone support from Yahoo and MSN to be quite helpful.

After setting up the accounts I then wrote ads promoting Wealthy Affiliate. All of this to get a feeling of how the system works. I did watch the accounts very carefully to avoid excess advertising expense. I found that it does take some time to monitor all accounts, it is not quite the automatic pilot that many would like you to believe.

Next came the need for a web site. I took the advise of several members in Wealthy Affiliate and selected 1 and for domain registration and web hosting. I selected the business package which provides 3 domain names, up to 200 subdomains, 250 GB web space, 2,500 GB monthly transfer, 2,500 e-mail accounts, $200 in advertising vouchers and a host of other features included. More than enough power for the beginning affiliate marketer. The price when I enrolled was $9.99 per month, I believe you can get a 25% discount on that price today.

Now that I had web space I needed a program for web page development. The 1 and package contains site building tools, but once again I took the advise of fellow wealthy affiliate members to use, an open source community product that is free. After downloading the program and spending some time working with it, I found that even with my limited knowledge of HTML, it quite easy to develop simple web pages.

Another open source product that I use in web page design is found at, this is a site where I can select from thousands of web page templates to download and modify to suit my needs.

Two members of wealthy affiliate have developed a web design ebook based on the use of and The ebook is free and if you will contact me I can supply you with a copy.

I have web space, I can download web page templates and modify them now I need a FTP program to transfer my completed web pages from my computer to the hosting server. There are a large number of FTP programs available most are free for a trial period.

I am a Mac computer user so I needed to find a reliable program compatible with my OSx. to the rescue. After the trial period the purchase price is $25. The actual publishing of my web page is easy as long as I remember to keep all files associated with the web page in the same folder and name the file for the page index.html.

At this time the expense of learning the affiliate marketing business is greater than income. Is the process taking longer than I hoped? Yes! Do I believe that I am making progress? Yes! The next steps research, marketing and quality article writing. Do I believe success will come? Yes!

Larry Enos is a 60+ year young retired guy trying to learn the affiliate marketing business. The products that I recommend in this article will help anyone with a limited background in affiliate marketing. Please email to with comments.

What is Pay Per Click Affiliate Program And How To Make Money with It

There are lots of ways to make money online considering the different types of affiliate programs today. It all depends on which type of affiliate program you are comfortable and are willing to market. Some affiliate programs are very easy to market and make money, while others may need marketing tactics in order to make a profit from them.

One type of an affiliate program that can be easy to make money with is pay per click affiliate programs. Pay per click affiliate programs don’t need marketing tactics and strategies. You can join the program and start earning money the same day.

I’m going to give you more information about pay per click affiliate programs and how to go about making with these type of affiliate programs.

What is pay per click?

Pay per click is a form of advertising where by a website owner bids on an amount he is willing to pay per click on that particular search engine or site. The search engine creates listings and the advertisers bid against each other for higher listing ranking for a specific keyword or phase.

The website with the highest bid in that particular keyword will get number one rankings in the pay per click search engine. The second and third highest bidders will then follow below the highest bidder and so on. So your website ads appear prominently on the results based on the amount you have agreed to pay per click.

How to make money from pay per click

Making money with pay per click can be very simply then pay per sale and pay per lead. With pay per sale or pay per lead, you are only get paid when a visitor clicks through and makes the desired action, like buy the product or sign up for maybe a newsletter. While with pay per click you get paid based from the click through your visitors will make on the advertisers sites. The search engine shares a certain percentage of what the advertiser pays them for that click with you.

With pay per click incorporate into your affiliate program, you can earn additional revenue form visitors that will not find what they were looking for. And since pay per click will advertise websites similar and in the same niche as your website, it is good reference to your visitors.

If you specifically want to earn income form pay per click, then you should build websites or blogs with pay per click ads well optimized for your website visitors, so you can get a good click through rate.

Now, make sure to build a website with good content. By good content I mean you should get content with well optimized keywords and lots of it, to give your visitors quality information and search engine spider’s good content.

Pay per click affiliate programs need lots of traffic. You will not make that much money with just a few visitors a day. And to even make it worse, what if those visitors don’t even click on those ads. The best way to drive traffic to pay per click affiliate programs is through search engines. If you optimized your website for good rankings, then you can make a fortune from pay per click affiliate programs. So there is a lot to consider when using pay per click affiliate programs.

Make sure the pay per click ads are well visible to the website visitors, so they can be driven to click on the ads. But keep in mind that you are not allowed to tell the visitors in any way to click on these ads because your account can get suspended and you can lose all your previous earnings. So try to blend the ads with the rest of your site and put the ads at the very top and bottom of your webpage for maximum click through.

Although it can be easy making money with pay per clicks, you definitely need a lot of traffic. Ten or twenty visitors a day will not make you much. Get your traffic tactics right, drive traffic through those pay per click ads, then you will earn revenue the simple way.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Purchasing Your Own Affiliate Tracking Software

by Naoki Shimizu

Millions of business owners rely on affiliate programs to help increase their sales and in turn their profits. If are the owner of an online business, especially one that sells a particular product or service, you may be able to benefit from the use of an affiliate program. If properly implemented, they are a great way to increase your business's revenue without having to do a large amount of extra work The first step in getting started is to find an affiliate tracking software.

An affiliate tracking software? If you have never heard of this product before, you may be wondering exactly what it is. Affiliate tracking software is the actual program behind your own affiliate program. If you start your own affiliate program, you will be relying on your banners and links to help increase your websites traffic and its sales. These banners will be placed on the websites of your affiliates. With affiliate programs, each time that one of those links is used to generate a sale, the website owner, webmaster, or website publisher, whoever you are partnering with, will receive compensation for their part in the sale.

To be able to compensate your affiliates, you will need to have a way to determine if, when, and who helped you generate a sale. This can only be done with affiliate tracking software. Therefore, if you are interested in starting your own affiliate program, you must have affiliate tracking software. When it comes to affiliate tracking software, you will have a number of different options. Two of those options include purchasing your own affiliate tracking software program or using someone else's.

If you use someone else's affiliate tracking software program, you will most likely end up doing business with an affiliate networking company. These companies not only provide you with tracking software, but they also help to track the sales of your affiliates, and even pay them. The payment feature is unique because it is not offered on most software programs that you have to buy on your own. With software programs that you buy on your own, the software should calculate how much you owe each of your affiliates, but you are required to take care of the rest. Depending on what your business is and how busy you are, you may not have time for this.

Having to pay your own affiliates may seem like a disadvantage to buying your own affiliate tracking software; however, it doesn't necessarily have to be. Even though you are still required to send out your own payments, you will generally find that this process is easy to do. That is because most affiliate tracking software programs are designed to automatically calculate the amount of money each of your affiliates make. Whether you choose to pay your affiliates on a weekly or monthly basis, you should be able to find out, right away, how much money you have to pay them. If you are paying them with a check, you can simply write the check and move on to something else.

A potential disadvantage to purchasing your own software can actually turn into an advantage. That disadvantage is customer service support. A large number of affiliate tracking software programs do not come with customer support. Almost all will come with a detailed user guide, but customer service support is not guaranteed. Despite the fact not all software programs offer customer support, there are even more that do. This means that if you want to have access to customer service support, you just need to find affiliate tracking software that has the support included. If free customer service support is included, it should be outlined in the software description or software features section.

The above mentioned advantages and disadvantages are important when determining whether or not you should purchase your own affiliate tracking software or do business with an affiliate networking company. Whichever decision you make, you should be well on your way to seeing an increase in profits. The affiliate tracking software program you choose will not have a direct impact on how much money you make, but it will have an impact on how easily your affiliate program flows.

30 Killer Marketing Strategies to Build Your Online Business

Killer Marketing Schemes

This publication is designed to provide accurate and authoritative information with regard to the subject matter covered. It is available at no cost, with the understanding that the author andpublisher are not engaged in rendering legal, intellectual property, accounting or other professional advice. Fred Farah individually or corporately, does not accept any responsibility for any liabilities resulting from the actions of any parties involved.

Following is a list of 30 Tips, strategies you should be aware of, and use. I could think of a few more, but why overdo it and risk leaving them all behind. Every year sees major new initiatives born, in Online Marketing. Next year, or maybe next month, this list should be revised. But start with this nucleus of helpful advice.

1 Educate yourself with new strategies to increase your sales. You could take classes, subscribe to e-zines and magazines, read books or e-books, etc. Internet business and technology move at lightning speed. You need to keep up or risk being left behind.

2 End your slow sales periods by planning ahead. Plan to add extra bonuses, hold a sale or package your product with other products. For example, you could say, "Buy one, get one free!" Another example would be, "Buy a Resale Rights Package of products and get 5 free bonuses!"

3 Make more commissions from the affiliate programs you join by giving your own endorsements for the products. They usually pull more sales than ads. For example, you could say, "This e-book sent chills up my spine! I highly recommend buying it!" Another example, "All I have to say is, 'Wow! It's that good!'"

4 Speed up your Internet access. You can get your online business tasks done faster, which will help you stay ahead of your competition. It can speed up your research, online marketing tools, Internet utilities, software downloads, etc.

5 Allow people who do not have time to explore your site to download portions of your web site in e-book format. This will allow them time to view it offline. Just compile it like you would a normal e-book. You could also turn it into a viral marketing tool by allowing people to give it away to others for free.

6 Use a lot of headlines and sub-headlines on your web site. This will draw people's attention and keep them at your web site longer. Sometimes people don't have time to read a whole sales letter. This'll allow you to sell to people who are skimmers. Plus it will get the reader's full attention and improve your chance of a sale.

7 Take advantage of popular fads. If something is popular at the current time, put up a web site about it. Just promote your main site on the fad web site. You could also send off a quick article or press release about it to get free publicity. You could also do this with popular search engine keywords and phrases.

8 Allow your prospects to choose between a retail or wholesale price. Of course you need to make a profit on the wholesale price. Just charge people a monthly or yearly membership fee to always get your products at wholesale cost. Your business would be like the offline wholesale shopping clubs.

9 Explore the newest fads of Social Networking, otherwise known as Web 2.0 This is huge in 2007, and moving at lightening speed. Get involved, or get left behind, way way behind.

10 Create your own web ring. You will gain highly targeted traffic to your web site and others will link to your site because they'll want to join the ring. For example, if you were selling products to net marketers, you would want to start an online marketing web ring. You would then draw your target audience.

11 Increase the perceived value of your free things or bonuses by including the retail dollar amount the freebies would normally sell for. For example, you could say, "Bonus 1# Marketing Tips Newsletter (a value of $120)." Another example, "Get 7 Bonuses With A Retail Value Of $345! That more than pays for your purchase!"

12 Tell people the point or focus of your web site. Explain to them what things they can do or which goals they can accomplish while visiting your site. For example, you could say, "Read 250 Free Net Marketing Tips So You Can Increase Your Sales! Plus Check Our Wide Selection Of Online Marketing E-books!"

13 Make your visitors feel comfortable at your web site. Give them your main business address. Your visitors may not trust you if you're using a P.O. Box. If you want to make them feel really comfortable, give them your business, home phone number. Then they will know they can get hold of you if they need help.

14 Include a FAQ on your web site or via e-mail on an autoresponder. This will give your customers extra convenience without having to contact you. Of course there are some questions you can't answer by using Frequently Asked Questions. You will get questions that you never thought of, but you can just keep adding them to your list.

15 Buy advertising space on discussion board web sites. They are usually arranged by subject; that makes them highly targeted. For example, if you are selling gardening tools, you would want to advertise on gardening, farm, tool and lawn-related discussion boards.

16 Start a free e-mail newsletter to create your own opt-in list. Create a title that grabs the reader's attention. Submit it to free e-zine directories on the Internet. Advertise it on your web site. Offer a freebie or other incentive for people to subscribe. Give your readers mostly original and quality content.

17 Record all your new promotional ideas, good or bad, into an 'ideas' journal. Sometimes you can combine ideas to create new ones to increase your sales. You never know when you, or someone you know, needs a new, profitable idea. Plus you could also sell your ideas to other business owners.

18 Convert your web site and free e-mail newsletter into different languages. This will increase your overall target market. You just won't be targeting just one language, you'll be targeting most of the major ones. Plus it wouldn't hurt to learn a few different languages for this new global economy.

19 Make your classified ads stand out in a crowd. Use all capital letters in the headline, divide letters with extra spaces, add in text symbols, etc. For example, you could write, "WIN a VACATION to Las Vegas!" Another example would be, "Win A ($) Trip To Las Vegas!"

20 Remember your customers are always right, even if they are not. They are the lifeblood of your business. Resolve all conflicts quickly and painlessly. There are many businesses which are solely profitable from repeat business. You don't want to always have to rely on converting prospects into customers.

21 Create a bond with your visitors by bringing up likes or dislikes you have in common with them in your ad copy. Just make sure you do your research. For example, you could say, "I hate it when you have to wait in line for a long time at the drive-through." Another example, "I really like it when I have extra money to spend."

22 Team up with your weaker competitors to beat your stronger ones. You can create win/win joint venture and cross-promotion deals with them. You could share marketing and advertising costs, create new products and services, share skills and strategies, trade leads, etc.

23 Design your site so it will be worth bookmarking. Your visitors will bookmark your web site if it's full of free, original content like articles, e-books, etc. You could survey your target audience to see which web sites or what type of sites they visit a lot. Then you could place those links all in one section of your web site. You could advertise it as a start page.

24 Offer your customers back-end products. It is easier to sell to existing customers. If you do not have a back-end product, join an affiliate program. You could offer that product as a back-end offer. Just make sure it's the right product for your target audience.

25 Increase the perceived value of your product. You could offer an affiliate program, give away free bonuses or use famous endorsements on your ad. Another way is to offer a sample or trial of your product or service. If people like it or it works, that will increase the perceived value because it gives them 100% personal proof.

26 Remind your visitors to promote your web site. Use phrases like: "Refer Our Web Site To A Friend" or "Link To Our Web Site". Offer them incentives for referrals. You could give them free e-books, reports, software and other informational products. You could also offer them discounts on other products you sell.

27 Make your testimonials more powerful. You can have people include pictures, handwritten signatures and normal net contact information with each testimonial. Other ideas would be to have people produce an online audio sound bite or video clip of themselves, home or cell phone numbers, proof of their credibility or authority, etc.

28 Upsell to all your customers. You could sell add-on products, deluxe products, extra parts, related products, add-on services, etc. You could offer them add-on products before or after they reach your order page. Just make sure the upsell products are compatible with the main product you're selling.

29 Place your ad in targeted e-zines. Ask the owner if you could place your ad in a higher position in exchange for a percentage of the ad's profits. You could also negotiate a lower ad price in exchange for you giving them affiliate commissions or an ad in your e-zine.

30 Use permission marketing to increase your sales. You simply ask people to sign up to your e-mailing list. They'll already be interested in your messages or ads because they've visited your related web site. You could also offer them incentives for signing up, such as freebies, discounts, content, etc.

31 Bonus Tip: 2007 is the Year of Video on the Web. Just as Social Networking is the latest 'in thing', video is a must as well. Get involved.

The subject of Internet Marketing is vast, loaded with ever-changing strategies towards success. New ideas are born non-stop. It's imperative that you stay alert to these changes.

Meaning to say... keep up, but don't throw away what's already working. Don't make the fatal mistake of trying every new thing that comes along. Perseverence is essential to prove a system good or not. Keep up the good work!
