How to Create Multiple Streams of Income - A 6-Step Guide

What if you suffered a serious injury, leaving you strapped to your chair for the rest of your life, unable to provide for your family, incapable of leaving the house to go to work every day? Luckily, Internet income provides a solution both for those dealing with this predicament and for those who simply want to earn money without leaving the comfort of their armchair.

Affiliate income is the single best way to create multiple streams of income online without ever leaving the house. Better still, once you have put in the initial work and got the website up and running, your business will require absolutely no effort from your side to maintain, meaning that you can move on to bigger and better things even as money continued to trickle in, slowly but surely. How does one create multiple streams of income on the Internet? This easy 6-step guide will teach you how to become a professional affiliate marketer and amaze your friends with extravagant paychecks that you will receive every month without seemingly ever leaving the house!

1. Select a Market This is the single most important step you will make as an affiliate marketer, as this is where you choose what product - or range of products - you are going to specialize in. There's nothing stopping you from working with just about everything, but it's always best to work in a market that you already know something about and where you can differentiate between good and bad products.

2. Select a Product

Now that you've chosen your market, your next step should be to pick the right product to promote. In general, there's always more than one products catering to the needs of the specific category of buyers; however, some of them are better than others, meaning that they will generate more sales (and therefore more income). Look for products with a good sales page and lots of verifiable testimonials - Clickbank is a great place to find some excellent affiliate programs.

3. Choose the Keywords

Now that you know what product you're selling, it's time to get serious! You now need to figure out what people are looking for in relation to this product or market. After all, you don't want untargeted visitors who don't care about this miraculous product you're promoting and only ended up on your site by accident, right? One of the best ways of finding keywords is to use http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com, which is free and gives you a good idea of what people are searching for and how often.

4. Build the Site

The next step in the process to create multiple streams of income is to actually set up your site! Don't worry, it's not nearly as difficult as it sounds - start by registering a domain name that contains your keywords (e.g, if the phrase you're targeting in Step 3 is "hair loss product", then try to register www.hair-loss-product.com - search engines will love you for it!).

5. Create Content

The next crucial step is to create content for your site which should be optimized around the selected keyphrase. Remember, in addition to targeted visitors, optimized content also means that your site will appear at the top of search engine results, beating even some of the more established websites in the field! Include affiliate links in your content to seamlessly integrate promotion and genuine information for optimal sales.

6. Promote Your Site

The final step in the process to create multiple streams of income is to promote your site! If you can afford it, set up a PPC campaign with Google Adwords - if you can't, not to worry, because you can still generate lots of visitors for free by submitting related articles to EzineArticles and GoArticles and including a link to your site in your biography box. So long as your articles are compelling and useful, you can expect a steady flow of visitors - and if you get really lucky, your articles will also be reprinted and published throughout the Net together with your biography box, providing you with tons of backlinks and plenty of visitors!

As you can see, you do not need much skill or experience to create multiple streams of income on the Internet. Keep in mind that, individually, a site is unlikely to earn you more than $10-$20 a day - however, 10 or 20 such sites could make you very rich, very fast (and that's not at all difficult to achieve - it's perfectly feasible to set up 2-3 such sites a day). Once you've practiced this winning formula, feel free to keep applying it to create even more multiple streams of income by adding more and more sites to your growing affiliate empire!

Audiobooks Provide Quality Relevant Content For Affiliate Programs

Affiliate programs have long been very popular for online businesses. But with all of the many programs out there, it can be difficult to narrow your focus and find the right program for your website.

One new affiliate program is gaining in numbers every day and that is selling audio book downloads through niche websites. Audiobook downloads are a great way to monetize your website with relevant content that will be a prefect match to the theme of nearly any website out there.

Recent trends show why audiobooks are such a hot commodity. In 2004, the audiobook industry which was then in the form of cassettes and CD’s was $800 million. By the end of 2005, it is estimated that audio books had become a $2 billion industry. Not many other industries can grow by 150% in one year!

To demonstrate what kind of money can be made in the audiobook industry, consider this: Audible.com, the leading audiobook download company, generated sales of $65 million in 2005 solely from audiobook downloads. Now consider that that is just a scratch in the industry as it is only 3.25% of the total $2 billion dollar audiobook industry.

That means that an astonishing share of 96.75% of the audiobook industry is up for grabs. After understanding those figures, don’t you think that it would be wise if you were one with the foresight to jump on this opportunity?

Now consider this, sales are not going to stop at $2 billion dollars a year. Time management is a skill that more people are trying to master. Because of this, people are looking for ways to make the most of their dead time (driving in car, commuting, jogging, cleaning the house, working out or running errands).

People are discovering that they can listen to audio books, teleseminars, lectures and podcasts while doing other tasks through out the day. Since the selection of audiobooks is not limited to literature, people are happy to listen to self help info, how-to manuals and business books. Audiobooks and spoken word recordings have become the new brain food for the busy on the go multi-taskers around the world.

There are more reasons why audiobook sales are going to continue to soar. Almost all new cars are capable of playing digital audio files. And since nearly 100 million Americans drive to work by themselves each day, and with the amount of time these commuters are stuck in traffic, one can easily see the need for the brain food of audiobooks in this context.

Time is of the essence here. Don’t you think that you want to be one of the first to offer audiobooks that can be downloaded to your websites visitors? You want to be an authority on selling audio book downloads before the trend really takes off.

Another great reason for wanting to sell audio book downloads on your website is that you do not have to do any work. It is a totally hands free system. After signing up as an affiliate, you will be mailed zipped files with your audiobooks ready to be loaded to your site. After loading the files to your website, you will not have to do a thing. All of the back end work and payments will be handled behind the scene so you will not have to dedicate any of your valuable time on such details.

These are high quality audiobooks from the world’s top publishers. The titles are from every genre imaginable. Once you load the files, you will be ready to start making sales from day one.

You will earn a high commission from your audiobook store. You will earn nearly 4 times what the other major online bookstore affiliate programs offer which means that you can generate a much higher stream of income compared to other book or audiobook affiliate programs.

Affiliate Marketing Programs - What's A Newbie To Do?

It began with a few people earning commissions by selling books from their own home based online business websites. For those who might not know, it was mega-bookseller Amazon.com who is credited with developing the very first internet affiliate marketing program. Following the unquestionable success of that new online marketing concept, literally thousands of companies have since offered partnership commissions to virtually anyone willing to sell their affiliate products.

But, finding the right online marketing company, with the best affiliate programs is indeed a difficult task for the internet newcomer. It is a mind-blowing maze of choices, created by relentless marketing hype and online scams. There is simply no shortage of affiliate program promoters, promising immediate riches, by using their 'little work' or 'no work' techniques to acquire wealth and a new address on 'Easy Street'.

One common newbie mistake is best described as trying to 'Run With The Big Dogs'. As tempting as it may seem, focusing your affiliate programs and internet ad campaigns on the most profitable online niches is likely to consume a disproportionate chunk of your business start-up cash. So, you may find that positioning yourself in the more competitive affiliate markets may be beyond the limits of your entry-level cash budget. And just as importantly, your affiliate target niche may also be well beyond your knowledge based comfort zone.

An internet marketing newcomer should instead focus on what they already have the most extensive knowledge of. The advantages of utilizing what you already know, regarding hobbies or small non-competitive niches, will provide the most affordable and practical entry market for the online novice. The experience gained will put you in a much better position to survive later on, at the more competitive, riskier and profitable levels.

The reasons for deciding on a career in affiliate marketing are generally as varied as the individuals themselves:

  • Escape The Rat Race
  • Earn More Money
  • Have More Free Time
  • Be Your Own Boss
  • More Spending Cash
However, if you expect to succeed in affiliate marketing, education will certainly be a key ingredient. Affiliate marketing training courses are numerous and may prove to be the difference between success and failure, as you learn to use the latest software, techniques and technologies.

There is an awful lot to learn and it certainly won't happen overnight. To be sure, more than a few months may be required before you get a secure grip on the necessary fundamentals. You will need to know the basics of affiliate marketing, internet search engine optimization and cost efficient methods of driving traffic to your websites.

Your training should include the latest affiliate marketing manuals, online marketing tutorials, and internet affiliate conferences. Learn from the successes and mistakes of others through various articles, books, ebooks and other publications. These are the training tools that will not only enhance your understanding of how the various affiliate programs work, but will help you in developing the expertise to intelligently select the best affiliate companies to work with.

Affiliate marketing is no different than any other type of business, which operates in a highly competitive environment. But, that does not mean there is no room for additional competition. New ideas for making money emerge almost daily, as do marketing techniques to improve efficiency and lower your costs. So, if you have the patience and are willing to invest the time and energy required, you may certainly succeed in becoming the internet's newest affiliate marketing guru.

Everyone Should Be Ready To Be A Leader On Affiliate Program

by Erny Setyawati

The purpose to join Affiliate program sells products or program others company on line. Selling products and program not only do by on line, but also be done by direct marketing. New comers can promote to families, friends, and coworker that are so near with them, before getting benefits from their business on line. Why do we suggest doing by off line? Because new comers should learn about marketing online before taking steps too far. It needs, not enough one-month, two months, but we must learn when we decide to join affiliate program. We have conclusion that being affiliate never stops to learn. We should prepare our mental to face many obstacles, struggle to achieve success. There are a few mental psychologies that we should have:

1. We should be ready to spend money to invest. New affiliates are astonished after signing up. They think that joining Affiliate program, just only signing up and stopped. Money will come automatically. As matter of fact, we spend much money for promotion, buying products and others need. Joining affiliate program without money is impossible. Companies that have affiliate program always offer residual income. Please consider! You should be careful to select! Few companies are not professional to do, but the others do best

2. We should be ready to face many obstacles. New comers usually get frustration to face obstacles. How difficult to get new leads. The frustrations get more when leads on their down line never do action. So learning the strategy how to market on line is suggested.

3. We should be patient, passion and has endurance. Affiliate program is not as easy as imagine. Achieved successful on Affiliate program takes long time. Need patient, passion, and endurance. New comers fail and give up continuing, because of desperate. Motivation from up line or from consultant that much know about Internet marketing solution is needed.

4. We should be ready to be leader. Leader! Yes! You should be ready to be Leader. You should know much about the company that you join as affiliate. The company usually publishes newsletters to affiliates. The newsletter always inform about everything, articles, marketing strategy, marketing tool, free website, technology information support and others. You can use all of your company facilities before you take from others. You should give information as much as possible to your down line about company potential. Therefore, your down line duplicates your action and successful is belonged to you.

Affiliate Marketing Strategies For A Successful Affiliate Marketer

by Connie McKenzie

You can make serious money from promoting the products of others. For the most part though, so many people spend so much of their time and effort trying to be a successful and yet see little or even no reward. However there is some good news, very little separates the novice from the more successful affiliate. In this article I am going to discuss some affiliate marketing strategies that could improve your success of promoting any affiliate product.

1. Choose the Right Product

One of the first affiliate marketing strategies that you may want to consider is choosing the right affiliate product. Usually what you will want to do is choose a product that is more pricey and will give you a better affiliate commission. However, the ROI or Return on Investment is what is more important here.

Allow me to explain, if you were to spend $5 in advertising so that you can make $10 you will then have a 100% ROI. You will eventually want to begin increasing your spending on advertising when sales improve so that you will begin to make more money.

Now on the other side of the coin, if you were to market a product that is more expensive it will give you a larger return, but you spend more on advertising than what you can make in commissions, you will then likely lose money.

Not only will you want to examine the price and commission but also the conversion rate. Any product that has a excellent sales letter and great benefits will likely be much simpler to promote.

Timing is another important factor. You are going to do well if you can find a hot product before most of the market does. If the same product has previously been promoted all over the Internet, you may find that you will have difficulty making any sales at all with it.

2. The Money Is In The List

I am sure that you have heard of this one before, but the question is - Have you bothered to take any action? It is easier to promote your affiliate products to an existing customer .

For example, the majority of people do not buy the first time they go to your affiliate sales page. They need time to think about and decide whether the product will work for them or should they even spend the money? By having the ability to send them follow-up emails allows them ample time to make a decision. You can also promote a number of other products that may be of interest to them.

You must remember though to provide quality content to your customers or add value in some other way, otherwise your unsubscribe rate may be high.

3. Spend Money To Make Money

There are ways of getting advertising for free that will work, but if you are trying to earn a larger income you will be required to spend some money in order to make some money. You can always run an Adwords campaign in order to get people to go to your website or sign-up page and don't forget the auto-responder which will contain your free e-course. Each subscriber may cost you a lttle, but over-all, as long as your ROI is on the positive side you are bound to make good money.

4. Test, Test, Test

Something that you will need to do on a continual basis is to test your traffic statistics, ad copy, and sign-up rates etc. Most importantly, you should test your advertising campaign at a low cost to you, just to see if it will be successful before you go ahead and put a great deal of money into advertising.

Read articles and participate in forums in order to find out what other successful marketers are doing and if possible, get yourself a mentor. You never know, by using these affiliate marketing strategies you might turn from a novice affiliate marketer to the next super affiliate.

Affiliate Marketing Techniques

by Corinne Mech

Affiliate marketing, if done correctly, is a very lucrative business. This is why affiliate marketers are always searching for that “prize-winning product”… you know, the one that will earn h/him the biggest paycheck.

Well, I’m here to tell you that as an affiliate marketer, you do not need a product. In fact, you don’t even need a website. There are, however, strategies that need to be implemented in order to succeed as an affiliate marketer.

Affiliate marketing is a business and will require some investment of time and money, like in any other business. You will need to invest in the tools of the trade and keep up with new developments and trends of the internet marketing business.

Here are a few techniques you could use to help you succeed with your affiliate marketing business:

First, create a unique landing page for the promotion of each and every product you are marketing for an affiliate. Do not combine all of the products onto one landing page just to save some money on web hosting. It is best to have one landing page focusing on one individual product. I know how much it frustrates me to visit a site only to find out that it is a web page advertising other websites.

Your landing page should have black type on a white background and there should be a lot of white space in your copy. This gives your page a clean and easy-to-read appearance. Make the pages attractive, compelling, and prompt customers to act on the product being offered. Your headlines should attract the readers and compel them to want to read more. Highlight text, add bullets, and use bold type for the special points. This will help your visitors to clearly understand what you are marketing and make them want to find out more about the product.

You might want to add a picture of yourself and a signature for a personal touch. This will gain trust from your visitors as you are now no longer some faceless, fly-by-night scammer.

Second, build a subscriber list by offering free articles, reports, or an e-Book to your visitors. Use an opt-in box to gather personal information from them, such as their name and e-mail address. If possible, position your opt-in box at the very top of your page so it simply cannot be missed. Create auto responder messages that will be automatically e-mailed to those who input their personal information.

According to research, it takes at least seven contacts before a sale is made. That is why it is imperative that you build a list with your opt-in box and keep in contact with those who have signed up to receive whatever it is that you’re offering (article, report, or an e-Book). This is how you will be able to generate income from backend sales. Remember . . . in the internet marketing world, your "list" is your "goldmine"!

One of two things will happen at your landing page: the visitor will move on to your affiliate’s site (which means a possible sale) or the prospect will leave the site never to return again. However, if they opted in for the freebie, you will be able to place useful information into their inbox at certain specified periods of time, inviting them back to your site. You can also remind them of the offer they missed and give them another opportunity to purchase the product. Be sure that the content and the product you are offering is for the same purpose that they visited your site to begin with. Do not make it sound like a sales pitch.

Include compelling subject lines in the e-mail, and for content, focus on how the product will benefit the customer (your landing page should reflect this point as well). Convince those who signed up for your free product that they will be missing out on something huge if they do not act now, today, this instant! (You get the point.)

Finally, drive only targeted traffic to your product. If the person who visited your website has no interest whatsoever in what you are offering, they will be among those who move on and never come back. Another way of getting free targeted traffic is to write articles for publication in e-zines and e-reports. This way you can submit your articles to publications that are targeting customers who would already be interested in your product.

Submit articles with at least 300-600 words in length. Do not submit articles that have been taken from the public domain or purchased as a private label rights package. In other words, the article should be an original copy written by you. The more articles you submit, the more free traffic you will be able to generate. If you consistently write articles, you can generate as much as 100 targeted visitors to your site in a day . . . free!

According to statistics, only 1 out of 100 people are likely to buy your product or service. Therefore, if you can generate as much as 1,000 targeted hits for your website in a day, you can make 10 sales per day.

The strategies above are not really difficult to follow, if you think about it. It just requires a little time, effort, and an action plan on your part. You can do this. . .

7 Top Tips for Affiliate Business Success

by Jinger Jarrett

Whether you sell your own products, or you work strictly as an affiliate, you can benefit from selling affiliate products.

Selling affiliate products allows you to create upsells, as well as extend your product line.

If you want to only sell affiliate products though, it's crucial that you create a Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Like any business, you need to make yourself different.

Below are seven things you can do to help you quickly build your affiliate business.

1. Carefully choose your niche.

There are actually two things you should do here: Write down everything you're interested in. I know some people can start a business about anything and have no trouble selling it. Not me. I want to write about things I am actually interested in. Otherwise, I'm easily bored.

Then do your keyword research. Use a keyword research tool from Yahoo Search Marketing or Google Adwords.

Choose your keyword phrases. The lower the number of sites, and the higher the number of searches for your keyword phrases, the better the choice it is for a niche for you to build your business around.

2. Build a website.

Since you're building an affiliate website, you will want to choose several programs that match your topic. Write reviews, add articles to your site, and you can even have a blog.

In fact, you may want to use a blog instead of a website.

You can build your website using an HTML editor that's WYSIWYG (this means you can see your changes as you make them, and you don't need to know HTML). You'll also find plenty of scripts you can use to build your site. Many affiliate programs, like Amazon and Ebay, even have scripts available you can either use for free, or buy.

3. Add constantly updating content.

For the new website owner, this probably the toughest part. How do you keep your website fresh?

Many sites now make available RSS feeds, and many affiliate programs offer RSS feeds you can add to your website.

An RSS feed is simply a piece of search engine friendly code that is updated. You can integrate these feeds into your website and provide constantly updated content for your visitors.

Not only will this help you with your search engine rankings, but it will give your visitors a reason to come back. Although search engines are important, your visitors are more important because they are the ones who will buy from you.

4. Build a list.

Much has been said about how important it is to build a list. If you build a list of people who are interested in what you have to sell, then if you market to them regularly, eventually you will make the sale.

Although this is important, there's another aspect here that's seldom discussed.

When you build a list, you are recycling your traffic. You are making the traffic you get work harder for you. This is very important. You can get a lot more from your traffic with your list. By reminding others you are there, you are more likely to make the sale.

5. Write your own sales materials.

Although many affiliate program owners will provide you with sales materials, it's better if you write your own.

Most new affiliate make the mistake of using what the affiliate program offers. The problem here is that the ad or other materials may have been seen hundreds of times already. Most will just click away.

You don't have to have a degree to write good sales materials. You just need to understand what others want and then give it to them. This means emphasizing the most important benefit a product or service offers.

6. Avoid marketing techniques that don't work.

Although many internet marketing newbies are guilty of this one, some seasoned marketers also make the same mistake.

FFA pages, safelists, and other marketing techniques simply put a ton of junk mail in your inbox. Even worse are those who fall for these sites that say, "Email 100 Million People with the Click of a Button".

The problem here is most likely you are spamming people, me included, with your offers. Other than being guilty of spam, you've just sent out an offer that isn't targeted.

Let me be clear. I'm a woman. I don't care about penis enlargement, and I'm straight so I could care less about making some other woman feel good in the bedroom. If you're sending out this kind of untargeted offer, you've succeeded in being marked a spammer, and you're in my trash.

Why waste your time? I might be Southern, but it doesn't mean I'm a sucker for your offer.

7. Add bonuses to your offers.

Whether you should add bonuses to your offer really depends on how expensive the product is. If you're selling a $10 product, then writing a review about the product, or an article, should be enough.

If you're selling products around the $97 range and up, you really need to give visitors a reason to want to buy from you.

Running an affiliate business is really like any other business. You need to make yourself different. Although there are plenty of ways to make money from affiliate programs without building a list, or a website, you can squeeze more profits from your affiliate business with a little extra effort.

Let's get this straight right from the outset, this article is not a guide to a phony get-rich-quick scheme. No, this is something much better than that. If you are interested in starting your own business from home, wherever home may be in the world, then you could not choose a more lucrative sector than the lottery business.

Did you know that the word "lottery" is the 8th most-searched-for term on Google? That alone should tell you the enormous scope of this market.

In the UK the average weekly household spend on the National Lottery is £5.37. The business outlined in this article is to sell entries in the National Lottery to people who are playing already. How wonderful is that? You're not trying to sell them a new product they've never heard of, you're not even trying to sell them a new brand of a familiar product. No, you are simply offering people a new and improved way of buying the very same product on which they already spend £5.37 per week.

But you will only be charging them £5! So by buying from you they will not only save £0.37 but will also boost their winning odds by 702%. Does this sound like the kind of product you would feel happy about selling? Then let me tell you more.

The e-Lottery from Syndicateworld has been established since 2002 and is a member of the Lotteries Council. Checking on google won't uncover any skeletons in the closet, its business practices are clean as a whistle - another important consideration for anyone thinking of becoming an affiliate. Mud sticks and you don't want it to stick to you by assocation, so it's always important to check out a company before committing yourself to represent it with your good name.

The e-Lottery is a syndicate for the UK Lottery with players paying £5 per week for 44 entries each in both the Wednesday and Saturday draws, i.e. 88 entries in total. The key selling feature of the syndicate is the huge boost in winning odds compared to spending £5 as a solo player and £5 as a syndicate player. Despite having to share winnings with other syndicate members, it is statistically proven that players win substantially more with the syndicate than they could ever possibly hope to win alone.

With no hidden costs and no deductions from winnings, the product certainly stacks up, making your job in selling it so much easier.

To become an affiliate costs just £4.99 per annum and for this you receive a start-up kit of promotional tips and tools and your own website address - you don't even have the usual hosting fees associated with having your own domain. So for just £4.99 you can begin recruiting your new players and earning commission. To become an affiliate you must also play the game yourself, costing £5 per week but this is fair enough as why sell a product if you don't believe in it yourself?!! You earn 20% commission on each player you recruit, i.e. £1 per week per player, meaning that once you recruit 5 players you have earned your own ticket stake and are playing for free.

The beauty of the commission system is that once recruited, you continue to earn your 20% commission on your players for as long as they stay in the game, week in, week out, for infinity. And better yet, if your players then go on to recruit their own players, you also earn 5% commission from them, too. And if the players' players go on to recruit their own players, you earn 5% commission once again. This continues down a dizzying 7 levels, very much like a family tree with you at the head. Of course it never works out like this in practice but in theory, if you recruit 5 players and they go on to recruit 5 players each and those 5 do the same and so on down the line, you would end up with a millionaire annual income! From just 5 players! Needless to say, no business ever grows as such neat and tidy rates as that, but it gives you an idea of the potential.

Many affiliates looking to expand their fledgling business find that the best way is to approach their family, friends and colleagues. Normally this can be an embarrassing business if you're selling something you're not sure they want or need - but by only asking those people who you know play anyway, no such problems exist with this business.

For some people that is as far as they want to go as an affiliate and are quite happy to play the lottery for free once they've attracted their 5 new players and take no further action. This is fine and there is no pressure brought to bear. This is another important factor in the e-Lottery in that you can do as much or as little as you like - the only targets you have to meet are those you set yourself. There's always help and support there if you want it, but no boss breathing down your neck!

If you fancy expanding further than just your immediate circle, there are lots of ways you can do this. You can obtain flyers, website banners, business cards and posters, plus lots more promotional tools, including e-mails and mailshots, all customised for you, to help you build your business. Apart from the US, where players are not permitted by law to take part in foreign lotteries, you can recruit your players from anywhere in the world, creating for yourself a truly global business.

So the possibilities as an affiliate for the e-Lottery with Syndicateworld are endless - the only one setting the boundaries is you!

Affiliate Program Sales - What Keeps YOU From Making Your Fair Share?

by Rawslyn Ruffin

There you sit. You've read your 100th ebook on making money online. You've got at least a gigabyte's worth of reports and "how to" teleseminars cluttering your hard drive. You've learned so much your head is about to explode. Your printer is still smoking!

But here it is, months (or even years) after you first started this avocation and you're still struggling to get people to sign up to be on your opt-in list. You haven't made that $3000 in 30 days like the report said you could. In fact, you're $500 in the hole.

Is it because you - the average JoAnne or Joe Internet Marketer just can't get a break? Why is it so hard to make any money online? How do the pros and gurus really do it? What's the secret they're not letting you in on? You've got all the information, but you still come up short. Why? Here are two obvious possibilities:

Number 1: You found that you had a ton of information, none of which came with a step-by-step method of application, or...

Number 2: You discovered that your information included clear step-by-step instructions but you chose, for whatever reason, not to apply any of it.

If you're not getting results because of reason #1, cheer up. There is help. In fact, it doesn't even come in an ebook. It has appeared on the affiliate marketing scene as the latest breed of affiliate marketing methodologies. In my "day job" (and yes, I do still have one as of this writing), the folks I work for are always coming up with catchy acronyms for absolutely everything. So, naturally I've begun to refer to this new type of website model as Online Application Super Entrepreneurial Sites - O.A.S.E.S. for short.

The one thing that these sites have in common is the apparent genuine desire of the site owners to help you cut to the chase and start making a living online. How do they do it? Obviously by selling you either more information or offering free or paid levels of membership. That's nothing new. What sets them apart from the typical affiliate sales site is their method of content delivery and the vast amount of material they offer you to use in your own promotion.

Some of these O.A.S.E.S. merely sport a helpful affiliate manager (yes, a live person!) and a responsive (albeit automated) Help Desk. Other O.A.S.E.S. come complete with forums full of active affiliates who produce auxiliary videos and articles to get you in profit in a hurry. After all, every step they take to help you helps the program itself. There are even sites that let you create affiliate squeeze pages and host them on their servers. You won't need a website, but you will need a dependable autoresponder service.

Are you ready to join forces with an O.A.S.E.S.? Chances are you've already seen them advertised. You may already be a member of one right now and just don't realize it. Here's a hint: can you get help at a forum specifically associated with the program? Does the site offer relevant articles that help you build your business? Do you enjoy promoting that site?

Here's the deal breaker, though: have you been contacted personally by the person who referred you to the site? You see, every time a marketer recruits someone by way of advertising, they get a notice. If you haven't yet been welcomed by your "sponsor" then get busy. Silence on his or her part leaves the door wide open for you to assume a leadership role with the people you will soon be recruiting.

A Beginner's Guide to Learn Internet Affiliate Marketing

by Lieven Van de Vel

Affiliate marketing is a technique of promoting businesses via the Internet, in which an affiliate or associate is paid/rewarded for every visitor, subscriber, customer, as well as sales provided with this effort. Free Internet affiliate marketing courses help by giving you the fundamental knowledge about how affiliate marketing functions. Certain free Internet affiliate marketing courses also offer superior strategies for affiliate marketers.

The buzz is that Internet marketing can be very lucrative, with millions of people benefiting from it. Say, you want to be a part of the action, but you are overloaded with information about the various affiliate programs. You have no clue where to start. What you need is to an Internet affiliate step-by-step course.

The steps required to learn Internet affiliate step-by-step course are:

1) Assess your needs. What is it that you want in life and how will your Internet business fit in to your vision? Be determined that you will succeed in whatever you wish to do.

2) Choose the product/service you want. Make sure that it has a conceivable market. Other things that you need to compare are commission structure, cookie retention time, conversion rate, discounts and promotions, and data feed.

3) Discover your niche and work on it. For a quick guide on lucrative niche markets, do a search on Google. If you find many sponsored ads for your search term, then rest assured that the segment is profitable. Why else would so many people advertise?

4) Get a proper domain. There are many alternatives: .net, .com, .biz, and. info. You must avoid trademark names. There is no point in getting into an unnecessary lawsuit. Make the name easier to spell and pronounce. Do not make it unnecessarily long or complicated.

5) Build a website. You can build it yourself if you are tech savvy. Or you can hire the services of professionals. But whatever it is, you need to have a website. You cannot carry out business using someone else's website. You can create a 'squeeze page' on your web site to register visitors in an e-mail campaign. It is crucial for you to keep in touch with the people you meet online via e-mail. You can also create a reference page that will link visitors to your affiliate products.

6) Devise strategies to drive traffic to your site. The more people visit your site, the higher your chances for converting them into sales. So you must get more and more people to your websites. You must regularly refresh your content. This will keep the interest factor alive.

7) You must examine your error and access logs, usage reports, and sales reports to ensure you are aiming the correct products to the appropriate visitors.

Make Money As An Affiliate - What You Need To Be Aware Of

by Ashwin Foogooa

In e-commerce, the term affiliate refers to a what we traditionally refer to as a "broker", i.e. someone who puts buyers in touch with sellers and vice-versa.

So does this mean that you can earn money as an affiliate? Yes, without any doubt. Insurance brokers, mortgage brokers, car dealers, real estate agents all earn their living out of brokering. There is absolutely no reason why you cannot make money as an affiliate.

Even better, registering as an affiliate normally does not require any investments.

However, be careful not to expect to make a living out of affiliate revenue. It is a home business that is developed rather slowly.

If you have already read the other sections of my website that contain money-making opportunities using other tools, there is not much more I can tell you here. The advice I have given elsewhere is applicable for affiliate businesses too.

Just consider the following tips too:

Always, always start your affiliate business in something you are passionate about. For example, if one of your hobbies is digital photography, consider becoming an affiliate of businesses that make money selling photography. Chances are that you will be a lot more motivated in building the business and will learn about it much more quickly. Likewise, if one of your hobbies is online poker, you might want to consider driving traffic to poker ebooks or to internet casinos;

Leverage the power of your peer group. Chances are that they are as interested as you are in the affiliate product you are selling. There is no harm in asking them whether they are interested. Also, your friends and family will be a lot more accomodating for mistakes that you make at the start; Leverage the power of your mailing list. For example, every time I transact with someone on eBay, I keep a record of their email address. In doing so, I've accumulated a mailing list of over 3,000 people around the world. And guess what? They all have some vague interest in eBay. An occasional email to all 3,000 of them with a hoplink to a "Make Money on eBay" ebook generates about 20 sales and US$500 in affiliate revenue. Not bad for an hour's work a month, is it?

Be patient. Affiliate businesses, like most businesses, are not built overnight. Persevere and you will see the rewards in about a year. The mailing list I describe in (3) above has taken me a year to compile, and there is still much more to be done;

Do not limit yourself to only one affiliate business. Subscribe to a few, but do not subscribe to all of them at once. Build one business at a time. At some point, you will be able to offer your contacts a choice of what products to buy from you. You may have a product to sell on how to make money on eBay, but there is nothing you can do if your contact is only interested in finding out how to make money using paid surveys.

Offer a service in return of buying the product you are selling. For example, I come across many people who will offer a free online poker tool if, and only if, you subscribe to a specific casino using the link they provide. This means that they are providing you an incentive to do something for free (i.e. subscribe to the casino), and they get commission in return from the casino for driving you to sign up to it;

You can even offer free, honest advice on a product before suggesting some affiliate links. For example, most of the products I refer you to on this site use my affiliate link. So if you appreciate the advice I've written, chances are that you will be a lot more amenable to buying the product. If you decide not to buy any, it doesn't matter. I've still provided a service for free on a theme that I am passionate about. So I don't feel guilty that I'm putting all my hours in the evenings and weekends developing my sites and not getting any income in return;

If you want to consider driving traffic to your affiliate product using Google Adwords, remember that it is expensive and many people may click on your link hence causing you to pay Google but not actually buying anything. This is how I lost money in the past using Google Adwords to drive traffic to an affiliate business. Remember that the best traffic is free quality traffic;

Use passive, or secondary marketing techniques. For example, every time I sent an email to a correspondent from eBay, I left my hyperlink to an internet casino in my signature. I don't care whether this generates money for me but in one year, it has provided me about US$1,500 of income!

And finally, remember that the best position to be in is not the affiliate but the business that recruits affiliates in driving traffic to them. Essentially, this often means that you have other people working to make money for you and expect you to give them a cut in return. Altogether, this means that it is almost free money to you. But it is very hard to set up such a business so I would advise you to start as an affiliate first.

Online casinos are a great source of affiliate businesses and they pay amongst the highest as well. But remember that Google Adwords does not like people driving traffic using gambling keywords;

Affiliate Business Knowledge

by Lobskiy Stanislav

What are the affiliate programs?

Affiliate program - is an Internet resource (definite web-sate or group of web-sites),which deals with selling of any product. And now, the simple explanation is as follows: If you bring a client to the web-site of a seller and a client – which you have brought – buys something there, then you get your commission which has being determined in advance. That is all. Is it simple? No, everything is simple and complex at one and the same time. On this blog you will find step-by-step guide to action.

Affiliate program search within searching system.

- Type key words in the search engine field: “Anything you like”

- Get search result to the topic.

- To find affiliate program in the Internet is not hard ;)

As soon as you have read a summary about affiliate program on the web-page of the “seller’s web-site” you go to the page of registration and fill in the standard form. You are offered to type in your details (first name and last name, URL where advertisement of seller’s web-site will appear). Choose the password for the future management of your business with the resource.

Affiliate program search on clickbank.com

You can spend a lot of time to look through page after page. But both in reality and virtual reality there are “supermarkets”, where are lots of goods within one place. All goods – for which affiliate programs are offered in clickbank.com marketplace - are divided into several groups in order to make search easy. Register your own affiliate. Your (ad) link contains your personal information inside (your login, at registration within affiliate program), thus there is opportunity to follow where a buyer comes from and who is going to receive his percent of sale.

Product promotion on the e-market.

Working within Pay per Click system.

The essence of operating within Pay per Click system is in showing your advertisements in the form of text or banners advertising on the web-sites pages or on the pages of search engines. CPC is pay per one click. What does that mean? For example, you have registered in PPC system, filled in all forms and comprised advertising text. You have started your business. Somewhere at this moment on the web-pages with similar topic thousands of people can see your advertisement about selling ‘SOMETHING’ in search system. People click on it, follow URL No. 1, hidden in the text of advertisement, to the seller’s web-site, and buy ‘SOMETHING’. In this case your partner pays you agreed in advance percentage of sale of ‘SOMETHING’. After all, sale has been performed through your affiliate. And you pay to PPC for clicks which were made for advertisement placed within this system. CPC is the payment for one such click.

Search and choose key words.

Choosing of key-words is very important stage, as well as choosing of affiliate program. Efficacy of your goods selling will depend on choosing of the key words, as well as efficacy of turnover of your investments in advertising. With the development of e-commerce and PPC systems, words became the same goods like services and real estate. Together with you there are lots of sellers on the market, which offers the same or alike goods. Because of this competition (and demonstration of advertisements is realized under those key-words, which a buyer types in search lines of searching engines) the cost of key-words varies, like stock price in New York stock exchange.

Conversion Calculation.

Saying in simple words, CONVERSION is a proportion of quantity of people which have visited your e-shop, to quantity of people which made required action, viz, buy of goods, registration on the web-site, click and advertising review.

Leading of your first advertising campaign.

To begin with, let’s take the definite goods and set different budget every day. Let’s regard parameters of advertising campaign on my blog. This information includes all main indices, which we are to take into account every day. This is not hard and takes approximately 20 minutes. How much time you have spent for advertising campaign will result in your profit.

Determination of value of every your client.

As soon as you calculate the value of your users, you’ll be able to determine your maximum rate per key-words. For example, you can decide, that the value of every user of your web-site is 48 cent within net profit. It means that you can offer 38 cent per click maximum in order to guarantee the you generate great value if profit. Importance of your users can also help you to determine which pay per click engines PPC you will use, as minimum cost per key words in different engines may vary greatly.

Best regards,

Affiliate Web Site Marketing – A Beginners Guide To Success

Throughout history, one of the most lucrative occupations has been that of a salesman. Buying and selling is what keeps any market anywhere in the world alive. Without it we won’t have an economy, we won’t have jobs and we probably won’t have any food, clothing or any of life’s little pleasures like iPod and DVD players. Exchanging anything of value always comes down to selling and even when you go for your next job interview you will be making a sales presentation to ‘sell’ yourself.

Even though selling is one of the best paid professions in the world, I absolutely hate it. I hate selling people and I despise the idea of sucking up to people’s ‘needs’ just to be able to sell them something. Fortunately there is a great opportunity for those who hate selling but who to still want to tap into the world’s oldest and most lucrative profession. The answer is affiliate web site marketing. As an affiliate you basically earn commission for directing visitors from your website to a merchant’s site and when a purchase is made the merchant rewards you with a commission. The critical distinction to make with affiliate web site marketing is that you am not actually selling anything. You are only passing potential customers on to a merchant who is actually making the sale.

The great thing about affiliate web site marketing is that I get to promote only products that I really believe in and products that I really know. Although I hate selling I love helping people and with affiliate web site marketing I can get the best of both worlds: I get to earn money in a similar way as selling would earn me, but without selling a single thing. This simple fact is where most affiliate marketers fail online. They try to make sales. I believe that people are fed up with being sold. Everyday and everywhere we are being bombarded with people wanting us to buy stuff from them – it seems like everybody is trying to sell you something. Remember that when you are on the internet, people aren’t looking to buy stuff as much as they are looking for answers to their question.

Online, people are looking for information on products and services, and when bombarded with ‘sales pitches’ most people tend to just block out and move on. This is where affiliate web site marketing comes in. If you are an expert with the know-how on something, you can provide this information that people are actually looking for. As a convenience and service to your readers you can also direct them to the best possible resources for finding what they are looking for. This is when you get rewarded for your efforts. By nature people are ‘lazy’ and they don’t want to search 200 websites before they buy a new laptop. They want an honest, no fuss opinion on what’s best for their specific needs.

As the expert you can provide this information to internet users and as a final courtesy you can direct them to the merchant who will eventually reward you when a sale is made. Affiliate web site marketing is all a numbers game and although commissions tend to be only a couple of dollars on a sale, when you multiply it by thousands it becomes more significant and with the amount of internet users reaching an estimated 3 billion, you can just imagine the future potential.

With affiliate web site marketing it is absolutely critical that you get the fundamentals right. Everybody who is successful at affiliate marketing, whether it be online or off line are practicing these three fundamentals.
1. Help Them, Don’t Sell Them:
The purpose of being an affiliate is to provide information and to help people who are looking for information and experience that you have. People are fed up with being sold. Selling is based on your own interests in making more money. By helping people you have their interests at heart and as selfish as this might sound (although it isn’t really) people only act on their own self interests.

2. Credibility Is Your Lifeline:
Building trust is your number one tool in affiliate web site marketing. When people start to trust your opinion to the point where they would ‘beg’ to have your opinion…this is when your income as an affiliate becomes unlimited. If you ‘promote’ a bunch of rubbish programs just to make a quick buck those who do heed to your advice will soon find out the truth and NEVER trust your opinion again.

3. Making Money Is A Result And Not A Goal
When someone is out to make money, it’s so quite obvious in all their words and actions. Just walk into a car dealership and you will see what I mean. Most of selling these days are like that – people trying to make money. The paradox is that when you try to make money you rarely do. When you instead focus on the task at hand and doing it properly, then making money becomes ‘automatic’ and it is merely the result of your efforts. When you do affiliate web site marketing, focus on your efforts of helping and sincere advising your readers and the money will follow.

7 Amazing Affiliate Internet Marketing Tips Revealed

by Dan Theta

Why is that most affiliate marketers make the slightest amount of profits, while a few of them make the most profits? The answer is quite elementary: they know the affiliate internet marketing tips, tricks, and secrets that put them ahead of the of the competition.

Everyone wants to make the most profits, right? Well if you intend to be on top, you're going to have to learn the strategies that the "gurus" do not want you to know. Here are seven affiliate internet marketing tips to help you get started on your journey to success:

1. The smartest affiliate marketers use article marketing to their advantage. If you write articles about your niche, you will gain the reputation and appearance as an authority. Thus people will be more likely to trust you and hopefully order from you. Your articles might also get republished by e-zines and other websites, so you will develop links to your site, as well as the reputation as an authority.

2. Focus on a particular market niche. Research what is in demand and what is not, and center on that niche so you can work on gaining traffic from your target market.

3. A good affiliate internet marketing tip is to cloak your affiliate links. People tend to seem a bit iffy about clicking on a link when they realize that somebody is making a commission from that link. People might just go to the site directly instead of through your affiliate link, so you miss out on a commission. Cloaking your affiliate links will minimize this problem.

4. The most intelligent affiliate marketer has a site to pre-sell the product being promoted, instead of promoting the affiliate product directly. Reviews, informative articles, and testimonials are a must for pre-selling.

5. Marketing and advertising in every place you can possibly find is extremely important. Whether you use pay-per-click advertising, article marketing, e-mail marketing, or something else, you must promote and keep promoting so as many people as possible see what you're promoting.

6. Another affiliate internet marketing tip is to learn and use search engine optimization. The search engines are the best place to get free, targeted traffic. Optimize your site for keywords that potential customers may use, depending on what you are trying to promote.

7. Having your own mailing list is extremely important to make profits from affiliate marketing. Put an opt-in form on your site so people who are interested in receiving more information can sign up for your mailing list. Set up an autoresponder with a series of e-mails to follow up on those sign-ups regarding what you are promoting. Ever hear the saying that the money is in the list? The people you establish a personal contact and relationship with will be more likely to buy from you, and this is a good way to keep in contact with the people who decide they are not interested in buying from you at the moment.

With these affiliate internet marketing tips, you have the information to start working toward those profits that everyone desires and so few truly reach.

Why You Should Promote Residual Affiliate Programs

by Li Ming Wong

Are you a webmaster in need of additional income? Or are you planning to set up an online business but you still don't have any product to sell? If so, affiliate marketing may be the best solution for your problems. With affiliate marketing, you won't need to worry about the products you have to sell. All you need to have is a website with sufficient contents that are related to the products of a certain online company offering affiliate programs. By becoming a member of the program, or by becoming an affiliate, you can start earning a certain amount of money right away!

Affiliate marketing is some sort of business relationship established between a merchant and his affiliates. In affiliate marketing, an affiliate agrees to direct some traffic to a merchant's website. If that traffic is converted into some kind of action, like a visitor purchasing a product on the merchant's website or a visitor becoming a lead for the company, the affiliate who directed the traffic will be compensated. Compensation may take the form of either a percentage sales commission for the sales generated or a fixed fee predetermined upon the application of the affiliate on the merchant's affiliate program.

Promising a lot of benefits both for the merchants and the affiliates, affiliate marketing has become one of the most popular online marketing methods today. In fact, almost every merchant or retailer site today offers an affiliate program that any one can join into. Most retailers would entice people to become affiliates or members of their program by promising great benefits like large commissions, lifetime commissions, click through incomes and a lot of other benefits. But would all these affiliate programs bring off the same benefits?

Most affiliate programs would pay you, as an affiliate, a one-time commission for every sale or lead you brought to the merchant's website. Commissions for this kind of affiliate programs are usually large, ranging from 15% to a high of about 60%. Other affiliate programs would pay you a fixed fee for every click through or traffic you send to the merchant's site. Programs like this often pay a smaller fee for every click through, usually not getting any larger than half a dollar. The good thing about this kind of program, however, is that the visitor won't have to purchase anything in order for the affiliate to get compensated.

Another type of affiliate program is the residual income affiliate program. Residual affiliate programs usually pay only a small percentage of sales commission for every sale directed by the affiliate to the merchant's site. This commission often comes only in the range of 10% to 20% sales commission. Because of this, many people ignore residual affiliate program and would rather opt for the high paying one-time commission affiliate program. Are these people making a mistake, or are they making the right decision?

We can't tell, for sure, if people are making a mistake by choosing a high paying one-time commission affiliate program. But we can definitely say that they are making a large mistake if they ignore residual affiliate programs. Residual affiliate programs would indeed pay at a lower rate, but merchants offering such kind of programs would generally pay you regular and ongoing commissions for a single affiliate initiated sale! That means, for the same effort you made in promoting a particular affiliate program, you get paid only once in a one-time commission program, and a regular and ongoing commission for a residual program!

So, are the benefits of promoting residual affiliate programs clearer to you now? Or are they still vague? If they are still vague, then let's make them a bit clearer with this example.

Suppose there are two online merchants both offering web hosting services on their sites. The first merchant offers a one-time commission type of affiliate program that pays $80 for every single affiliate initiated sale. The second merchant also offers an affiliate program, but this time a residual affiliate program that pays only $10 for every single affiliate initiated sale. As an affiliate, we may get attracted at once at what the first merchant is offering, as $80 is definitely a lot larger than $10. But by thinking things over before actually getting into them, one may be able to see that the second merchant is offering us more opportunity to earn a larger amount of money.

Supposed you have directed traffic to the merchant and it converted into a sale, you'll get paid once by the first merchant for the sale you have initiated. But with the second merchant, you'll get paid monthly for as long as the customer you have referred to the merchant continues to avail of the web hosting service. That means that for the same effort of getting one customer to avail of the merchant's service, you get paid monthly in residual affiliate programs while you only get paid once in a one-time commission type of affiliate programs.

So, are residual affiliate programs worth promoting? Definitely yes, because you virtually get more money from these types of affiliate programs in the long run! And would residual affiliate programs work best for you? Probably not, probably yes. It is not really for me to tell. But with the benefits that residual affiliate marketing can provide, it would really be unwise to ignore such programs.

5 Secrets to Explode Your Affiliate Marketing Income

by Mandy Buchanan

Do you want to explode your affiliate marketing income? Are you sick and tired of struggling to make money from other people’s products? If this sounds like you then you need to know 5 little secrets that can truly explode your affiliate marketing income.

Successful Affiliate Marketers market things they love
Successful affiliate marketing is going to take lots of work. You can make plenty of money from affiliate marketing but you do need to work at it and this means that you should be doing what you enjoy. Many affiliate marketers choose to market internet marketing products just because everyone else appears to be doing it. This is a sure way to fail. Instead think about those things you enjoy and believe in and would find easy to convince others about. Make a list of these things and then do some keyword research into the subjects.

Successful Affiliate Marketers do Extensive Keyword Research
Like all successful internet marketing, successful affiliate marketing is based largely on choosing the correct keywords for your marketing efforts. Once you have made a list of things you love use a keyword research tool such as Wordtracker to study these topics in more depth and find out which of these topics other people are also interested in. You also want to choose keywords where there is not a lot of competition so that your website or articles will rise to the top of the search engine results pages and people find them. Good keywords are those with lots of people searching and relatively little competition.

Successful Affiliate Marketers have their own website
Don’t be deceived into thinking that because you are doing affiliate marketing that you don’t need a website of your own. The most successful affiliate marketers do have their own website and in particular they have their own opt-in page to create a mailing list so that they can advertise their affiliate products to their own list.

Successful Affiliate Marketers know their niche
Once you have decided on what affiliate products you are going to advertise it is important to take some time to really get to know your target market – hang out in the same forums as they do, join the email groups they belong to and spend as much time as you can learning what they like and what they want. Successful affiliate marketers are experts on their target market and their affiliate marketing success shows the results of this.

Successful Affiliate Marketers treat their Affiliate Marketing as a Business
This may sound obvious to some but unfortunately too often people involved in internet marketing are opportunistic and jump around from opportunity to opportunity or affiliate program to affiliate program and never really work at any of them and hence never really make much money. The successful affiliate marketer knows that affiliate marketing is a business and so will seriously consider the affiliate products they sell and their affiliate marketing efforts and work hard at making a success of their affiliate business.

In conclusion, in order to be successful at affiliate marketing you need to do what you love, do extensive keyword research to find out which products people are looking for and how to approach them. Super affiliate marketers also have their own website and opt-in page to create a list of contact for future affiliate marketing efforts, they know their market and treat their affiliate marketing as a business.

Affiliates - Do You Know A Good Affiliate Program When You See It?

by Andrew Gowans

The following article is one of a series of articles which focus on Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing. All of the articles are based on real experiences and research done over twenty years as a personal and business coach. They are also written in response to questions which I have been asked as well as address common challenges that people have with affiliate marketing, article marketing, internet marketing or running an online business in general. I sincerely hope that you find the following information of value. One idea, one tip, one clue can make all the difference.

Affiliates, Do You Know A Good Affiliate Program When You See It?

One of the most important things about affiliate marketing is choosing good programs to join. There are certain criteria to look for in order to differentiate the good from the bad. Here are some points to help you choose.

* Firstly check the product. The best performing affiliates actually use their sponsor's products and know them well. Know the market that will need these products and how to create a need for them.

* Check out the company carefully.

* Not everyone can afford high end products so unless you are familiar with special markets who can afford high priced goods stick to the average market of $10-$500. It will be easier for you to promote products in this range.

* Commissions: Be sure the company is offering a decent percentage. If the commission is below 20% ask yourself - will it be worth it.

* The company should also be offering good training and tools, their success lies in your success. The better companies will provide graphics, sample emails, signature ads, forum ads, even websites.

* Since the affiliate's role is to presell to their customers and visitors, check that the company has an effective salespage that leads on from all your hard work to get the visitor to click that link, and then make the sale. If the product is good but the sales letter is not that effective, I have found that the better companies are all to willing to listen to their affiliates and follow up on constructive inputs. After all it is to their benefit to do so.

* Be sure they offer good, quick customer support.

* There should be no obligation for you to buy the product

* There should be a good tracking system, showing your earnings in real time

* The company should have a system in place to prevent theft of your ID

* You should be paid at least once a month and the minimum payout should not be more than $100. Also be sure that the company has a convenient method of paying your commission.

Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing in general isn't as easy as many would have us believe. I fully understand (through my own experiences) that it is a lot easier said than done. However, you are here, right now, because you have a desire to improve your business, grow your business, and be more successful. These articles are here with the sole intention of helping you to make the whole process a lot easier.

When is a good affiliate program not a good affiliate program? Even when it just seems out of place or not in context with your theme or niche. Just because it's a great product, and paying huge commissions, doe not necessarily mean it's right for your customers.

Think big picture. If you have spent a long time building a loyal customer base who have come to trust your judgement, just make sure that whatever products or services you offer them continues to add value and are totally in keeping with the reasons they have subscribed and / or bought from you before.

With these points you will be able to have a good idea on what to base your decision to join a program on. Carefully check out the affiliate program before joining with these criteria in mind and they will help you make the right decision. Joining the right programs will put you on the road to success.

Things to Do Before You Join an Affiliate Program

by Mario Churchill

Although online business can help a company add more gold to its coffers, success stories of companies making it big online are few and far between. This can be attributed to the surge of online business in the past few years: more and more gravel and concrete businesses are taking their goods and services to the World Wide Web, making the Internet a crowded marketplace that is noisy and daunting to businesses that have little or no financial and marketing clout.

With such an entanglement of businesses and advertisements, can there still be a place for small to medium sized businesses online? Affiliate programs seem to offer the answer to this need for businesses to prosper on the Internet. Such programs bring like-minded businesses together, allow each business to promote a main site, and give each business the chance to earn money through different methods, all of them involving referrals.

Although such a scheme may appear like multi-level marketing, an affiliate program is actually a two-tiered business model, where affiliates promote a main site and get paid by the organizers of that site. In multi-level marketing, three or more tiers exist, with businesses on the latest, lowest tiers allow those businesses on the tiers above to earn money. Compared with multi-level marketing, affiliate programs are more laid back and do not require as much aggressive selling.

What affiliate programs do require are well-made advertisements. When you join an affiliate program, you will be required to post advertisements of the main affiliate site on your website. These advertisements are your ticket to commissions. Every time they are refreshed, clicked on, followed, or viewed, you may be given money in return. Every time a customer visits the main site, signs up for a service, or purchases a product, you will receive financial compensation.

All this may make affiliate programs highly lucrative, but there are a few things you have to remember before you join an affiliate program.

• Some purported affiliate programs are actually multi-level marketing schemes in disguise. Such schemes may also be scams, and your hard earned money may be wasted on them if you do decide to do business with such sites. Before you join a program, examine details about it, and see how exactly you can earn money through them. If their claims seem overblown, and if you have misgivings about their credibility, listen to your instincts and move on to the next affiliate program in your list.

• Carefully assess what your market is. Some affiliate programs are ordered by the market to which they cater, while others are general affiliate programs with memberships of thousands. An affiliate program catering to a specific market can be advantageous for you: you can reach out to your intended market easily and directly, and not waste time on possible dead ends as you search and wait for prospective customers.

• Do not expect commissions to come flooding in. Affiliate marketing can earn you some money at first, but if you are expecting millions, then you may end up disappointed.

• Tailor your advertisements to be attractive. If you can add graphics and color to the advertisements that the affiliate program will provide, then do so, but beware of overdoing your advertisements. An overdone advertisement will not only turn visitors away from the advertisement, but from your site as well.

• Make your site as attractive and useful as possible. You will not be able to find customers to click on your advertisements and earn you commissions if you do not have a website to which they can go to, and keep on coming back to. Provide useful information on your site, and make sure that your layout is friendly to the eyes.

• Strategize your layout. If you are not allowed to change the advertisements given to you, then find a place on your site where they will be most noticed, and where they are most likely to be seen and clicked. Do not place text advertisements too close to text, as your website will appear crowded. Do not place graphic advertisements next to each other, or your website will look cluttered.

• Make sure that your site loads quickly on most Internet browsers. Some advertisements will make your web pages heavier, and your pages may take longer to load. Compensate for this possibility by creating a site that is attractive but lighter. You can do so by eliminating tables from your layout and replacing them with style sheets. You can also do so by making your text as terse and as light as possible.

Before you join an affiliate program, your website and online business need to be prepared to do good marketing. With the right know-how and skills, you can earn money through affiliate marketing, and you can effectively promote your business online.

How Successful Is Your Affiliate Marketing Business?

by Andrew Gowans

The following article is one of a series of articles which focus on Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing. All of the articles are based on real experiences and research done over twenty years as a personal and business coach. They are also written in response to questions which I have been asked as well as address common challenges that people have with affiliate marketing, article marketing, internet marketing or running an online business in general. I sincerely hope that you find the following information of value. One idea, one tip, one clue can make all the difference.

How Successful Is Your Affiliate Marketing Business?

Affiliate marketing is one of the easiest business models and this is why many new entrepreneurs begin with these programs.

Theoretically all you need to do is send warm ready to buy visitors to your sponsor's site and his compelling sales page will close the sale. You are just a salesman for other people's products.

This all sounds deceivingly simple but there are a few things you should know to make an affiliate business work:

Choose the right programs: Be very careful of the programs you join. Check them carefully. They should have good support, and real time reliable tracking. A good commission should be paid monthly with no more than $20 limit for payout. Above all the products should be good and targeted to your particular market / niche.

Pre sell, do not sell: One of the big mistakes affiliates do is try to sell their Sponsor's product. They send the visitor to their sponsor's page where they will be confronted by a second sales page. Double selling will deter people from buying. Warm your visitor to the sale by pre selling and let your sponsor's sales page do the selling.

Remember when you are able to attract potential customers, they have one thing in mind - 'what's in it for me' (will this solve the problem I have). The only way you can answer that is to focus on the product's benefits and not its features.

But let me ask you, how can you presell focusing on the benefits if you have not bought the product personally?

Build your business as well as your sponsor's: You are sending all these potential customers to your sponsor and building his customer list. In order to build your businesses have a way to capture these potential customers yourself. Offer a free newsletter on your site and build your own subscriber list.

Have your own website and drive targeted traffic to it: Do not rely on your Sponsor's mirror site. Have a theme website of your own. You will be able to set up your own newsletter there and have multiple related affiliate products. The trick is to drive large amounts of traffic to your website and pre sell them to get the click through to your sponsor's site.

When you have your own website, don't confuse your visitors by attempting to 'presell' 20 products on the same page - how is this going to solve their problem.

Think about it, if the product is worth everything you are going to say it is, doesn't it deserve a page all to itself???

Use these points to build your affiliate marketing enterprise. You will gradually increase your business and your profits.

========SIDEBAR========
======END SIDEBAR======

So Why Do People Fail In Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing looks easy to do, but in reality it is a little trickier than people realize. One of the main reasons for failure to make profits in Affiliate marketing is lack of dedication and work. Affiliate marketing is like any other business. It takes hard work and dedication to make a successful business.

One of the most common reasons for failure is lack of knowledge about promoting. Affiliate marketing depends on getting a lot of targeted traffic to your website. Only then can you hope to achieve a substantial click through and sales conversion. Many new affiliates are not aware of the amount of work they will have to put in to drive this traffic to their websites.

The other mistake is not to have your own website. This prevents you from doing your own website promotions and does not allow you to capture the email addresses of your visitors. When you do this you will only be building your sponsor's business and not your own. You will also be decreasing your sales conversions.

Not knowing how to advertise and where you should be doing your direct marketing is also another mistake. Advertising must be towards your targeted market and not in unrelated publications and websites.

Selling, not pre selling: Too many affiliates try to sell their sponsor's products instead of getting the click through. If you try to sell to your visitors and then send them through to your sponsor's sales page they are in effect being double sold and will not be very inclined to buy.

If you pre sell to your visitors and warm them for the sale they will be ready for your sponsor's sales page and be inclined to buy. This will increase sales conversions and your commission.

NOW is the time!

O.K. you have read the article. Now is the time for action. Without action, this article adds no value whatsoever to your online success. But remember, without action, you cannot blame this affiliate marketing article or any article for that matter. So, take action NOW.

Simple Money Machines - An Easy Way To Set Up Affiliate Sites

Are you looking for a way to make money on the internet? If so, is the information you are finding making your eyes bleed? There is so much information out there and so many choices to pick from that it can be completely overwhelming. The problem with all this information you are finding is that most of it is complete hype and useless.

You can buy ebook after ebook and listen to free videos and audios and pretty soon you figure out that the only people making money on the internet are the ones that are selling mostly useless information that you bought. There are lots of different choices. Ebay is a good place to start, but it can be difficult to find things to sell and it can be very time consuming.

You can set up a website if you already have a product in mind, but how do you build that site? And then after you have spent hours on the website you have to get traffic to the site and maybe you don't have a clue how to do that.

I have been in that situation myself. I had very few computer skills so I had to look for something that was fairly simple to learn. Building a website from scratch was way out of my league. I had no idea how to start a mailing list. I didn't have a product of my own to sell. And even if I did get past all those obstacles, how would I get traffic to my site to make the sales I wanted to?

Since I didn't have a product of my own to sell I decided affiliate marketing was a good way to go for me. In searching for affiliate products to promote I stumbled onto just what I was looking for. The program is Simple Money Machines. This program gives me the tools that I need to do the things that I don't have the skills to do on my own. I am somewhat technically challenged and to build a website on my own from scratch would take way too much time that I have found I just don't have to spend now that I have this program.

If you want to promote affiliate marketing you need great tools to help you out. You need a program that will:

  • Build websites without knowing any HTML and promote the website after it is built so that someone will actually be able to find it. You need something that you can easily customize to fit your specific needs.
  • You need a built-in auto-responder so you can build your own list and get your messages out to that list whenever you need to.
  • You need a way to track so you know exactly where your traffic is coming from so you can put your promotion time where it is most effective. A split test feature is a great idea so you can set up two different looks for the same product and see which site is more effective.
  • You will want to have a program that will allow you to have several different sites at one time all in one place so you aren't spending a lot of time bouncing back and forth between different sites and reporting programs.
Of course, as with any at home business program, don't expect to make thousands of dollars a week with little work. We all know there is no such program. If you are willing to work at it though, affiliate marketing gives you a method to start building a great home based business. I needed a program that is easy to learn. I now spend a lot more time writing articles and setting up pay-per-click ads instead of spending hours doing all that technical stuff that I don't enjoy.

Affiliate Marketing-Learning Your Way Around ClickBank

If you are looking for what kind of internet marketing products are sold on the internet a good place to start is ClickBank. ClickBank is a large affiliate network. At ClickBank you can purchase products, list your own products for sale, or sign up to earn money by promoting other people's products.

It does not cost anything to sign up with ClickBank and it is easy to access the site. Simply enter ClickBank into a search engine. When you enter you will see next to their name the navigation information. Above that you will see several other selections. One is labeled marketplace. Marketplace is where you will find all of the affiliates ClickBank represents.

When you click on marketplace you will be taken to a categories page. Here you can find any product. You will see information that gives you the product name, a sales page and a "create hoplink." The latter is a link you will use if you decide to promote affiliates. This link is what identifies you as the payee.

On the same page labeled in green are four other pieces of helpful information.

  • Affiliate Commission: The actual amount of commission you receive.
  • Percentage earned: The percentage you make on each sale. (these vary)
  • Referred: Percentage of each product that's referred by affiliates.
  • Gravity: A numerical rating. The higher the number the more popular the product. Some marketers believe if the gravity is too high or low the product is either saturated or not well enough known to make it profitable.

If you are thinking about promoting affiliates, ClickBank would be a good place to start. It is also the place to go if you want to learn about different kinds of products. When you click on any product you are able to pull up the sales page. This will give you information about that product. If you look at enough of these sales pages, you'll soon get a feel for how to design one yourself. This skill can be invaluable if you decide to create your own product

Later on as you become familiar with how affiliates work you might want to think about promoting your own ebook. Getting to know your way around ClickBank can be your springboard to an affiliate marketing future.

Three Character Traits for A Successful Affiliate Marketer

by Ken Shorey

While you are researching your options for owning an Internet Business that allows you to work from home, affiliate marketing may be the easiest and fastest way to earn money online if you have what it takes to succeed.

The reason that affiliate marketing is so popular is that it is a convenient and easy way to earn money from the Internet.

Affiliate marketing like any business venture requires an investment of time, energy and resources. However, the affiliate business model eliminates the start-up costs that are associated with other business venture. The affiliate work at home opportunities are already set up and ready to earn money.

But there are still some important character traits and work ethics that will a work at home affiliate must have to be successful. In general successful entrepreneurs share these common traits.

  • High energy
  • Self-confidence
  • Set short term and long-term goals

High Energy - Making money with affiliate products requires a consistent, almost dogged determination to succeed. If someone told you that making money online is easy, they lied. There is no lazy way to riches in the initial stage of working from home. There is a steep learning curve for most new work from home business owners. You must have tenacity and the energy to follow through on what you learn. Learning new ways to market an affiliate product is important. But, following through is the most important element. It takes time to read through the ebooks and the marketing material provided from your affiliate programs.

Marketing is an ongoing process. To succeed as an affiliate, your products, web page and opt in list have to be monitored to insure that all links are working. You have to provide new content. Tenacity will win out over procrastination every day. Tenacity is what a Pit Bull exhibits when he has its teeth buried into an object. These dogs clamp down on an object and will not let go. This is the kind of persistence required in you work at home business.

Self Confidence - You must believe in what you are doing. You must be confident in the product as well as your ability to succeed in selling the product. You must believe that you can attain your desires.

Setting short term and long term goals – If you don’t know exactly what you want, you will not know when you have reached your goal. The goal that you set must be more specific than “making money” or “financial security”. The goal must set a specific amount of money that you wish to earn by a specific date.

Whether your goal is to gather 100 names in your opt-in list per week, or to sell 100 products per month, you must have a goal for your business in order to gauge your success.

Trying to run any type of business without setting goals is like trying to find a new location without having a map. Having a map makes getting to the new location a lot easier. Your time and energy are better spent going directly to the location without any wrong turns or stops at gas stations asking for directions.

Your goal setting is the map, the simple steps that you take everyday that are necessary to your acquire financial security. Your goals will take you where you really want to be.

Affiliate Marketing-While You Wait Affili-ate

by Robert McNesby

For those interested in starting a business online, one of the problems is coming up with a product to sell. I know, all the internet marketing gurus tell us we're all good at something. That is probably true but it doesn’t mean we can create a whole website from it or our product will have appeal.

There are also all kinds of eBooks on line we can purchase to help in our quest for a piece of the internet pie. Usually though, these deal with one subject such as Affiliate Marketing how to build a website, List Building, article Writing, Keyword optimization etc.

You can learn something from all of these. Granted it’s going to require no small investment but you will have a working knowledge of how wealth is created. And there is much information suggesting various products that might trigger an idea or turn on a light bulb to get your juices flowing.

One of the best ways to get started is with affiliate marketing. This requires very little investment and you don’t need your own product. Actually you don’t even need your own website but your chances of success are better with one. You can get a web design host for $10.00 a month which will include a domain name. They require no html, are point and click and contain all kinds of templates.

You can then go to affiliate merchants Clickbank or Commission Junction where you will find hundreds of affiliates just waiting for you to represent them, Generally these merchants pay commissions of 50%, with some lower, some higher. They have tutorials to help you get started.

Next sign up to some article submission sites. Here you will write articles you will link to the home page of your site. From there you can write pre selling pages to link to the affiliate sales page. (articles sites allow you a link in your article to your website) Ezine articles is one of the sites you want to be sure to sign up for. However they don’t allow affiliate links. Writing articles is a free and very affective method of building traffic. As an affiliate marketer it is a good idea to write many articles. The more articles, the more traffic, the more search engine recognition.

One other thing you’ll want to do is get an autoresponder. Autoresponders are programs that will collect names and email addresses automatically. You will have to write a series of emails to load into the auto responder. Your emails should offer incentives and free gifts (a free ecourse e.g.) to your subscriber. As you gain their confidence, slip in a plug for an affiliate you may be promoting. This method, if done correctly can bring you hundreds if not thousands of subscribers.

Even if you have only minimal success with affiliate marketing, the knowledge you will gain about other aspects of internet marketing will be invaluable. Then when you are ready to launch your own product you will be armed with the necessary information in preparing and promoting a more successful site.

Using Affiliate Programs In The Online Business world

by Tal Fighel

With any online business you must have a product or service to sell. First you must create this product or service and then you must be able to fill orders or find people who will sell it for you for a hefty commission. If you are not interested in doing that, then you better choice is joining an "affiliate program".

An affiliate program is the easiest online business to start with and will continue for years to come.

Starting with an affiliate program is a great way to get started in the online business world. There are many affiliates who are making a nice and comfortable full time income from affiliate programs. They are also known as "Super Affiliates".

So, what exactly are affiliate programs?

Affiliate programs allow you to sell another company's service or product and make a commission on every sale made. You don't even have to build a website, process the order, ship the product to the person, or anything like that. Your only job is to drive traffic (customers) to your affiliate link and hope that they click on it and buy the product.

An affiliate link is a special URL code that will identify customers coming to the company's site from your advertising efforts.

Another good thing about affiliate programs is that many of them offer a 2nd tier level opportunity. What does 2nd tier mean? It simply means that when someone signs up to the same affiliate program that you are promoting through your link in order to promote it themselves, then you have the opportunity to make a small portion of future sales that the person will make. This is another awesome way to make extra money with affiliate programs.

When you have found a program that looks interesting you should read the terms of the program. Make sure that payouts are not based on a high commission earning or you may never see your money. Also try to choose programs with high commission rates. Often you will find ebooks and downloadable software has the highest rates as there is no physical product to make or ship. If you are satisfied with the terms then you need to sign up - usually a simple process.

It is also VERY important to know that if many people (other affiliates) who used to promote a product that never payed out comissions after the affiliates made those sales for them, then you know that you do not want to promote it. You have to be careful. You can usually go to any forum online and ask other people what they thought about a particular product that you just joined and wanted to promote.

Starting your marketing efforts:

The reason affiliate programs are so wonderful for beginners and starters is that you only need to focus on marketing it and not making the actual product itself. This is the beauty of affiliate programs. Imagine if you had to come up with the product, create it, market it, find customers, process orders, ship the product, and other time consuming things.

A Method For Making Income In Niche Markets

by Lonnie Minton

Many marketers are making healthy incomes working part-time in niche marketing. They accomplish this by selling eBooks. By consistently doing this every week, they make good money.

This is not just insignificant pocket change either. Some marketers are making $500 - $1000 a month in their spare time. Note: in order to make this happen, they put forth effort. They are not just standing by waiting for the money to come rolling in - it won't.

It's also important to note that most of these are not your so-called experts. They may not have a large amount of knowledge about the subject of their eBook or report. They may or may not have any involvement in the topic that their eBook targets. Still they are being successful. You can do this also. With a little bit of diligence and effort, anyone can do it.

What are they doing to accomplish success?

They are just doing simple things and it works because they keep it simple. So being an expert is not required. You don't have to be the world's best authority on the topic or niche. This method will work for just about any niche market that you choose to market. The method involves you putting forth the effort to create a 5-10 page mini-report or eBook and then marketing or selling the ebook. That means that you have to find buyers. You could use many techniques to do this - Adwords or maybe eBay. There are many ways to market your small eBook.

So, since you are not necessarily an expert in the subject you choose for you eBook, how do you write the content for the eBook?

First you need to find out what is selling well - what subjects are people already willing to spend their money for. Take a look at Clickbank and check out your favorite bookstore. Once you find a topic in your selected niche that has a good market, then you are ready to start creating your short eBook or report. I suggest that you create an eBook in the .pdf format. Most computers have the necessary reader already loaded to read this format. If not it is easy for anyone to download the reader.

So you now know you subject, how do you get the content? Let's suppose that you have decided to write an eBook on how to build picture frames, with emphasis on how to make the corners fit correctly and be strong.

Now this is one of the most important parts of this method. Remember you want to keep the process simple and not require you to be an expert on the topic. Of course, if you do know the topic, you could write your eBook yourself.

If you are not, then you can go to Google or your favorite search engine and look for private label articles. Just enter keywords for you niche and look for articles or products that are available as private label articles or products.

The beauty of private label rights is that you have or you purchase the rights to the information. That means that you can alter or change it in anyway that you desire. You don't have to worry about copyrights because you have the right to use the article or product.

So you find 5-6 private label articles and you re-write them and create your eBook. You have a chapter or two on making the frames, one on how to get the frame square, how to insure that the corners are strong, etc.

As noted already, you want to keep this simple and you want your effort to be minimal. However, you really should spend some time putting "you" into the eBook. So, re-write at least some of the content make it fit your personality.

Now you need to design or get designed some graphics that will help you sell the product. Maybe some showing a person working on the corners of a picture frame. Some kind of graphic that calls attention to your topic. It will generally represent the cover of your eBook.

Using that graphic you will create a mini-website. On the website you will emphasize the benefits that the buyer can expect if they purchase your eBook. Without telling how, let them know that they will learn how to build picture frames that will have strong corners, etc.

Now just promote the mini-site. Start sending visitors to your site in anyway that you can.

Selling it directly on eBay might bring some quick profits. For eBay, it might be important to price your eBook in the 7 to 10 dollar range. While the eBay process is happening, you could work on other Internet marketing methods.

Let's summarize the method:

1) Market Search 2) Select a topic in some market niche 3) Obtain content 4) Write a small eBook on the topic 5) Create a mini website 6) Promote your eBook 7) Do it again with a different topic/niche

This is just one of many methods of using niche marketing to create a part-time income. If you want to create more substantial income - do it over and over again. As you become more efficient with the method, your time and effort on each topic or niche will decrease and you will be able to create and sell more eBooks and your income will increase.

It is working for many, why not you?

How To Succeed As An Affiliate Marketer

by Kingsley Okpoh

I found out a trend that seems to be common with some affiliate marketers but which may on the long run not profit them since the merchants are never happy with such behaviours and tend not to renew their relationships with such affiliates. I hope you will not fall into this category since it does not augur well for you on the long run.

What trend am I talking about? I am talking about those of you who try to set up different websites numbering about 20 or even 40 on various topics with each one having some 300 -500 or more pages per website all because you want to earn a lot of money through Google Adsense on each website as well as the affiliate commissions on the various products that you will be promoting on the various pages. The question you should be asking yourself is "Is the style worthwhile on the long run?" And then there is the next question "Is this sustainable?"

In this kind of setup, you either have decided to churn out some automated load of keyword rich blabagulah that will become stale in a short while or you have a very big army of some article writers and designers whom you have locked away somewhere in your basement to handle the regular work needed to update these large chunk of sites and pages for you. In case the second option is what you have going for you, it is either you are rich enough to pay all these 'employees' of yours or they are some mediocres who do not have other options as to how to get themselves empowered or worse still, you are one of those modern day 'hostage takers'. Or is it 'hostage keepers?'

But then, let's be serious here friends. This affiliate marketing business is all about churning out sites with regularly updated quality contents that would make sense to the consumers and not a matter of quantity. Check out those sites that have high rankings on Google and you will find out that one of their common characteristics is that they have sites that not only dish out solid quality stuff but also do so on a regular basis. I am sure you must have noticed this but if you have not yet done so, please do now. There is no need to mention those sites here.

You can afford to play games with some of the spiders in order for them to index your sites for a short while but I can tell you that they will catch up with your tricks in no distant time and you will end up the loser in the game if you continue that way. You may not be aware of this but it is a fact that merchants are increasingly becoming choosy when it comes to which affiliates are admitted to their affiliate programs. At least the most serious ones are beginning to do this.

And they are not to blame when you put yourself in their shoes. The question is "how would the sites as described above add value to any affiliate program? It is no secret that links to affiliate programs that get indexed only for a short while are of no use when you want long term relationships. They are just like the proverbial "quickies".

You are therefore advised to get back to the drawing board if you are really serious about earning money on a long term basis as an affiliate marketer. There is the need to learn the ropes properly. You need to find a niche that appeals naturally to you, create real unique content or have others create it for you. You also need to build relationships across board, have links and back links to and from your websites and so on to have a good chance of remaining in reckoning on this stage. Of course, you need to have a way of regularly updating content on your sites and so on. You need to find a way to do things in your own way and be somewhat different to the usual gang on the beat. Be your self, create your own style, and show the world your own personality and creativity and the affiliate marketing world would be yours for the taking.

For those of you out there who had it rough at the beginning of journey into the affiliate marketing world, you are not alone and must have realized by now that the main problem was not having a sort of 'blue-print to success' in the business to follow. One literally had to stumble on from one trial and error to the next, buy one promising e-book after another, try promoting one affiliate after the other, changing them when no sales seem to be forth-coming and at the end of the day, sit down and wonder "but where have I gone wrong?" or "what have I not done right?" And yet, no answer!

It is therefore very important to start on the right note so as to save oneself valuable time, energy and more importantly, nerves. "A healthy man (and woman) is a wealthy man (and woman)" is a saying that still holds water. It is for this reason that I am recommending that you to read Holly Mann's "Breakthrough Money Making Secrets". This is the e-book that changed my perspective of internet marketing altogether. It is a book that is not only well-articulated but gives more than what you paid for. It naturally comes with a money-back guarantee which I think only an insane person will want to make use of after going carefully through the book. I think one good thing about the book is that it was written by someone who has been there when it comes to the nitty gritty of surviving the odds and so, it is so easy to relate to her experiences. Yes, it was written by a woman. One who had no choice but to take her destiny into her own hands when the going got rough. Please feel free to read about her even before thinking of buying the book. You will find her sales letter here Click here for a preview of the e-book.

Let me tell you something else about this lady that made me to decide to write this piece. The book I bought from her which changed my understanding on how to go about Internet Marketing was recently updated. I did not know about this until she sent me a mail to inform me of this development (of course she must have done same for all those that bought the earlier version). She went to inform me that if I could produce proof that I bought the earlier version, she will send me a link to download the new book (which is almost twice the size of the earlier one and filled with new quality information) for free! And she of course did. Now, I am not saying that she is the first person to do this sort of thing but I am telling you that with such a quality e-book, a lot of people would have been tempted to resell to you even if at a reduced price. This goes on to show the integrity of the author of this wonderful e-book.

I am advising you to check her site out and see for yourself if I have just been blowing a fake trumpet or not. You will find her at www.erichjerk.com. See you at the top. That is where you really belong if you have succeeded in reading this far. This article is free to be reproduced by anyone who wishes to do so as long as it remains unedited in any form.

Add a little revenue with affiliate programs

by Theo Swan

If you are selling a service or product online, and you want to increase your revenue even further, one idea is to join a few relevant affiliate programs. No matter what products you are selling, odds are you can find a profitable affiliate program matching your content. But, be sure you do not join a program offering products to similar to yours, that way you do not risk sending your hard earned customers to shop elsewhere.

Knowing exactly what programs to join is hard - not to say impossible - but if worst comes to worst, you can always join another program if your first choice turns out to be wrong.

Most websites have pages not intended to market their products or services directly, but to explain various details of the site, company or area of expertise. These pages are perfect for promoting products closely related - but not competing products. If you have an art site - perhaps selling your own work - you might have a few pages describing the canvas, paint of choice or the technique used to make your paintings.

Assuming you only sell your paintings and nothing more, you can easily add a few banners for selected affiliate programs on your site. Find a program selling the canvas YOU are using, and explain to your readers why you choose it. If you have a good reason for using that particular brand, people may feel intrigued to try it out them selves.

If you are on the other side - selling art supplies - perhaps you can find a few affiliate programs selling paintings made with your material.

Except for really large websites, most sites are somewhat specialized, making it easier to find non-competing products to promote. The easiest way is to search for affiliate programs using similar keywords, but staying clear of the ones targeting your own top keywords and/or phrases.

Start by trying to figure out what areas of your trade you are NOT covering with your website. After you have figured this out, search or browse for an affiliate program matching any of these areas, more often than not you will find many programs matching your criteria. If you can't find a program matching but NOT competing, you have to broaden your search. The risk of giving your existing customers away - for merely a commission - is worse than the potential profit you can make from the customer. In rare cases, you can find programs good enough to risk it, but that is something every website owner needs to figure out her self.

To broaden your search, try to figure out what your visitors might have in common, except the interest in your website. If you can pinpoint a few likely areas of common interest, you have a good starting point for finding a good affiliate program.

The trick is to find common areas between your site, your customers and the large amount of affiliate programs online. Considering the numerous programs of pretty much all niches, no matter what your site is about, there is a good chance you can find many similar products. For websites with only a few products, this can really help to add to the revenue without risking sending people to competitors.

Affiliates, Make The Most Money With Niche Markets

by Andrew Gowans

The following article is one of a series of articles which focus on Affiliate, Article and Internet Marketing. All of the articles are based on real experiences and research done over twenty years as a personal and business coach. They are also written in response to questions which I have been asked as well as address common challenges that people have with affiliate marketing, article marketing, internet marketing or running an online business in general. I sincerely hope that you find the following information of value. One idea, one tip, one clue can make all the difference.

Affiliates, Make The Most Money With Niche Markets

Affiliate marketing and working with niche markets is the way to go today regardless of age if you are eager to make a lot of money. I'm not saying that affiliate marketers never have to work a single day in their lives and just rake in the cash while sitting out by the pool, but there are tremendous perks to this job.

Do you hate going to work every day? Commuting, whether by car or mass transit, is an absolute bore. The hours you spend every week commuting are lost hours that you will never get back before you die. So why not choose something better?

The best thing about affiliate marketing is the freedom to work in a relaxing environment. The "office" could be your home desk, the kitchen table or, why not?, a table by the pool. Every day is "casual Friday" and all your tools are concentrated in the computer.

No paperwork to shift around from one desk to another. And the earnings are on par with the setting. The more effort you're willing to put in building a maintaining a nice website, the more money will come in every day. If this isn't a good deal, then I don't know what a good deal could be.

Some people think that affiliate marketing is too much work and that splashing some AdSense ads on a page is far easier. It might be so, but how much money can you get out of AdSense? Two or three dollars a day? Come on, that's not money but loose change.

Affiliate marketing may be a bit harder than AdSense, but this is where people actually spend money. If you play with the big boys, you could make as much as $175 out of every sale. That's the equivalent of 58.3 days of AdSense at $3 per day you can make in one day.

========SIDEBAR========
======END SIDEBAR======

What many people don't realize is that the global economy is going through a huge spending period. Across the world people are willing to pay good money for all kinds of products and the Internet has made it easier than ever to spend money. eCommerce has made it possible for people to buy things they had never had access to before.

Orders pour in and products and services move across countries because people can search the Internet for answers to their problems and are willing to pay for solutions, regardless or where they come from.

It's like a river of money moving across the planet and you can become one of those who help connect the buyers with vendors and cash in commission while never leaving their armchairs. The gap between offer and demand is huge nowadays because there are far more people with money out there than there are people who sell things.

The key is to find products that are underrepresented, highly demanded and pay high. Until now affiliate information packages do not address this. Many of the marketing programs out there are about re-selling the program you have just purchased.

Although there are affiliates making money without a website by referring people directly to the merchants' sales pages. there are two serious pitfalls with this approach. Firstly, if no real preselling has been done and the merchant's sales page is less than convincing, the chance of making a sale is greatly reduced.

Secondly, the merchant has just been handed the opportunity to make follow-up sales directly and not through an affiliate program.

Take control and keep control.

Making money online or from home are some of the most sought after subjects on the internet. "Making You Richer" is our complete guide to building online wealth, so you can easily convert thousands of searches every month into real sales.

7 Adwords Secrets That Will Convert Your Campaigns into Massive Profits

by Mark Bellinger

Combining the power of Google’s Adwords with the resources of an affiliate network such as ClickBank provides you with a potentially massive earning powerhouse.

Whilst Adwords allows you to access 100 million people in less than 10 minutes and is therefore probably the best internet marketing tool available, it is also the most difficult to master.

This isn’t news and everyone knows this already you may say, however only a select few are really making the big money.

Why is this?

Well it’s because only the so called internet marketing gurus know how to effectively leverage Adwords for significant profits.

In fact, for the inexperienced Adwords campaigner, Adwords is a great way to quickly deplete your bank account for no or very little gain – Google seems to punish uneducated affiliate marketers and rewards smart ones.

So what are the secrets to the effective use of Adwords?

  1. Ad Copy

Poor ad copy and your campaign won’t get off the ground or worse still will cost you money in wasted (badly targeted) clicks.

The structure that works for most advertisers is to ask a question on line 1 (heading) which will ignite the prospect’s interest, mention a captivating feature of the product on line 2, provide a real benefit on line 3 and finally place the url to link to on line 4.

  2. Ensure Maximum Return form each Adword Click (ROI)

Each time someone clicks your Adword Ad it is costing you money. It is therefore obvious that you want this person to click through and make a purchase.

This is the best outcome you can hope for from your ad.

  3. Ensure your Traffic is Targeted

Always bid on exact match keywords which will contribute to only targeted traffic clicking on your ads facilitate a good click thru rate (CTR) and sales.

When creating a new AdWords campaign, uncheck the 'Content Network' box in the campaign settings and limit your ads to being displayed only on Google's 'Search Network' to ensure only highly qualified and targeted prospects click on your ads.

  4. Bid to be in Position 2 or 3

Bidding to get into position #1 is not such an advantage as clicks can be more costly without any significant benefit.

However, having your ad in one of these top spots will result in a higher CTR which will Google will reward you for by charging you less per click.

  5. Do Not Use Competitive Keyword Phrases

Because of the high competition for popular keywords they result in a low CTR and also a high cost per click (CPC).

Therefore use more specific keyword phrases, for example: “cheap airfares” will be more competitive than “cheap airfares every Saturday evening from Gatwick”

  6. Split Testing

Split testing your ads will enable you to determine the CTR for each ad and you can then modify the lower performing ones.

  7. Analyze

Always analyze each ads performance to see how many clicks each ad is getting and how many sales result from each one.

In conclusion in any pay per click (PPC) campaign the focus must always be on your return on investment (ROI) as it is easy to have an Adwords campaign eat up your budget in no time at all without much to show for it.

Therefore acquaint yourself with Google’s Adwords thoroughly or better still invest in a reputable guide to Adwords prior to embarking on your campaign which will either work for you or cost you.

Affiliate Programs... Don't Quit Your Day Job

by Bob Mathers

I was thinking that there must be a million affiliate programs out there. In fact, if you do a Google Search you'll find that there are 121 MILLION links for affiliate programs. From Art to Webhosting and everything in between there's most likely an affiliate program out there for just about anything that you could possibly think of. It's probaby one of the first things that most people look at when deciding to try and earn some money online. But just how easy is it to make money with affiliate programs?

Affiliate programs seem to come in two basic shades. One, you sign up as an affiliate with a program, get your very own U.R.L. and agree to sell whatever it is they're selling and in exchange for doing this you receive a percentage of the sales, also called a commission. Your cut varies from company to company and can range anywhere from 5% to 80%. A lot of this depends upon the price of the product and whether or not it's a product or service that is strictly an informational product delivered by computer such as an ebook or software, or an actual product with physical delivery such as consumer electronics, cosmetics, etc.

The other way is for you to become an affiliate, of an affiliate, of an affiliate, and so on. This is also called Network or Multi-level Marketing. With this way of marketing, the idea is that you recruit or sign up a few individuals and they do the same, right on down to the last 'level'. With this type of program, you can make a little off of thousands of people, which in theory can add up to a lot of money. The reality is usually something different. What oftentimes happens is that you'll sign up a few people and find that that no matter what you do to try and motivate them, they'll do nothing. If you keep plugging away you'll eventually run across some individuals who are also highly motivated and they will be the ones who will in fact help to grow your business and income. The turnover rate is extremely high in this type of program especially if there's a monthly commitment involved. People will oftentimes hang around for a month or two but after a couple of months of paying and not seeing any results, they're usually gone.

No matter what type of affiliate program you're talking about, a major issue is getting enough quality traffic to make any program work. When I first started marketing affiliate programs, I was completely ignorant of how much traffic it oftentimes took to make a sale. I thought that I could do mass advertising on the Hit or Click Exchanges, Safelists, FFA blasters, and make lots of money. Now, you can get lot of traffic by doing the Traffic or Hit exchanges, but they mainly consist of other marketers and advertisers trying to sell their own product or program. So before you start marketing anything, you should come up with a plan on how you're going to market the product or program. You may be able to make money with free advertising but it's more than likely that you'll have to spend some money to make some.

There are people who make a full time living marketing affiliate programs and many who make decent part time money. It can be done, but it usually doesn't happen overnight. I believe it helps to involve yourself with products or programs that you have interest or knowledge of. Also be aware of the cost. Trying to market a high end nutritional program requiring a $100 a month commitment might be a bit more difficult than trying to sell an ebook for $20. At least that's been my experience. Whatever you try, here's wishing you great success in your Internet ventures.

The Short Guide to Affiliate Website Building Success

by Jinger Jarrett

There are many ways you can temporarily get an edge on your affiliate competition. At least one internet marketing "guru" invents a new trend every day to help you do this (his/her goal is to sell products). The problem is that these strategies usually don't work, and even if they do, they're only temporary. Eventually, these strategies will hurt your business.

If you're serious about starting a business on the internet, the easiest way to this do is to market affiliate programs. You don't have to be an expert on anything, you don't have to handle customer service, and you don't have to spend a lot of money to get started.

Although there's a lot information about marketing affiliate programs, there are some simple tweaks you can do that will jumpstart your business, and anyone can do them.

Your first step should be to build a website. There is plenty of free software available to help you build a website without knowing HTML, and you don't have to be a genius to learn how to FTP. (This is uploading your site to the internet.)

Most affiliates never succeed in a program because they'll market the program for only 30 days, use only the sales materials the merchant provided, and then they wonder why they aren't rich.

If you want to succeed in any business, affiliate or not, you have to be different. Presell the merchant's products; you can only do that if you have a website.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy either. You can take care of two business tasks at one time by simply building a lead capture page and promoting your list. Include several emails in your series discussing the merchant's program. Explain why it works. Give your reader real information about your topic and not just an endorsement of the merchant's product.

If you're a customer of the program, even better because then you know things about the product most affiliates won't.

You can also use your website as a way of showcasing different merchant programs.

Although you need to avoid using javascript as much as possible because it isn't search engine friendly, many merchant programs, especially on the larger sites like Commission Junction and Linkshare, have additional resources on their own sites you can use. This includes datafeeds and RSS, both search engine friendly types of code you can easily use to add self updating content to your website. This code keeps your website fresh, and the search engines will visit more often.

You'll also find store generators you can use to generate pages for your site, and many of these only require you to add your affiliate ID, some keywords for the types of products you want to offer, and then you just copy and paste the code onto your site. Many of these store generators are now search engine friendly, making your site super search engine food, as well as unique.

You can find store generators by typing in the merchant name and adding the search term "store generator". You can also visit the merchant's site first to find out what tools are offered.

Finally, once you've developed a little technical expertise, and you understand the basics of site building and script installation, you can try your hand at some of the more basic scripts for site building. You can create anything from a full fledged Amazon store, to your own niche friendly Net Shop.

You can search for these scripts by simply typing the store you want into the the search engines, and then add the word "scripts". For example, if you want an Amazon script, type in "free Amazon store script". You'll find plenty of results, and some don't even require a database to run.

Regardless of what type of site you choose to build, whether it's a simple list page, or a full fledged content site, make sure you build a list so you can recycle your traffic. Automation is a key ingredient in a successful business because it allows you to focus on the tasks that will make you money.

Find a few good affiliate programs you like, that pay well, do your keyword research and find an untapped market, and you'll be well on your way to succeeding as an affiliate.

Affiliate Money Machine - How to Turn Your Computer Into a Cash Generating Machine

by Eric Tokar

If you have a website or want to set up a website you can easily turn it into a cash generating machine. Even if your website is not geared towards making money or even selling anything You can still easily monetize your website.

The most common way for a website to generate income is through google adsense. No matter what your website is about you can easily make a nice amount of money with google adsense. Adsense is about the simplest way to make money. All you need is to do is to sign up with them and they will give you customizable code for your website. You can customize it by having the links appear as horizontal banners, boxes, and other things. Every time someone clicks on one of the ads you get paid. Adsense displays ads on your website depending on the text on your website so that way the ads are geared towards your site.

I highly recommend using adsense for your site, but in addition to that you should also use affiliate programs. There are a lot of affiliate networks, but the most popular is commission junction. Any affiliate network you sign up with will give you text links and banners to use within your website. When the customer buys something through your link they will pay you a percent of the sale. Some sites use pay per lead. You get paid for simply getting someone to sign up with another website. For many sites it may not seem that there are any affiliate programs out there that are really really fit your website. In this case you just find the closest related product to your website and use that add. Having semi related ads is better than having none at all. I can almost guarantee you that if you put up any ad that is at least semi targeted to what your website is about you will generate sales.

If you can not make a decision on what company to promote on your website and you are stuck between several companies you should look at the companies epc. Epc stands for earnings per 100 clicks. If you are deciding what company to promote you may be more likely to take the company that will pay you the highest per sale, however this strategy may not be the best for maximizing your profit. Even if a company pays higher per sale a company that pays less may have a higher conversion rate and overall pay more. When you are looking for an company to promote just remember earnings per 100 clicks outweighs earnings per sale. If you see several affiliate programs you would like to promote, but still can not decide you can use an banner ad rotator. A banner ad rotator allows you to have several affiliate links within your website. When a user goes on your website one ad shows up, then the next time they go on your website your other banner ad shows up. If you would like to find some code that will allow you to use a banner rotator you can simply find it searching on any search engine.

Creating your own cash machine on your computer can seem a little difficult, but if yo take it step by step the next thing you know you will have your own cash generating machine.
